Milone (1-4) took the loss Tuesday as the Orioles fell 4-2 to the Rays, giving up four runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out six.

While two Pat Valaika errors did him no favors, Milone also served up back-to-back homers to Hunter Renfroe and Manuel Margot in the second inning, digging a hole the O's offense couldn't climb out of. The veteran lefty has lost three straight starts, and while his 15:1 K:BB in 15.1 innings over that stretch looks good, the four homers he coughed up indicate the results were not simply the product of bad luck. Milone will take a slowly eroding 3.99 ERA and 1.26 WHIP into his next outing Sunday, on the road against the Blue Jays in Buffalo.

Anderson didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 9-7 loss to the Red Sox, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk over five-plus innings. He struck out three.

Staked to a 4-0 lead after the first inning, Anderson was reasonably effective through five frames, but after he walked the leadoff batter in the sixth, manager Charlie Montoyo gave him the hook, and Anderson could only watch as the bullpen melted down for six runs. The right-hander did throw a season-high 83 pitches (55 strikes) and completed five innings for the first time, but with the Jays being particularly cautious right now with their remaining healthy starters, that might be about Anderson's limit. He'll take a 3.68 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 10:4 K:BB through 14.2 innings into his next outing Sunday, at home against the Orioles.

Hart didn't factor into the decision during Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Blue Jays, allowing six runs on eight hits and three walks over 3.1 innings. He struck out three.

The rookie got tagged for four runs in the first inning before finally exiting the game in the fourth, but the Red Sox got Hart off the hook for a loss with a big rally in the sixth. He has yet to get out of the fourth frame in any of his three big-league starts, and only Boston's lack of rotation depth is keeping him around. Hart will carry a brutal 13.00 ERA, 3.00 WHIP and 12:10 K:BB through nine innings into his next outing, currently scheduled for Monday at home against Atlanta.

Bieber (6-0) earned the win against Minnesota on Tuesday, tossing six innings and allowing two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out 10.

Bieber entered the contest having held opponents scoreless in two straight outings, but that streak ended in the second frame when he yielded a pair of runs. However, the right-hander bounced back to keep the Twins off the board through the remainder of his six innings while racking up double-digit strikeouts for the fifth time in seven starts this season. He induced a healthy 19 swinging strikes in the contest while limiting the Twins to only one extra-base hit. Bieber has been the most dominant pitcher in baseball this season, registering a 1.35 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 75:9 K:BB through 46.2 innings. He'll look to extend his early-season excellence when he heads to Kansas City to face the Royals on Monday.

Hill hurled five innings against Cleveland on Tuesday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out five. He did not factor in the decision.

Hill was shaky in the first inning, giving up a run on a trio of singles and a pair of stolen bases. However, he turned things around thereafter, holding Cleveland scoreless on a pair of walks and a single over the next four frames. The southpaw ended his outing on a high note, striking out the side in the fifth inning before he was lifted. Hill threw 78 pitches in the performance, a positive sign after he tossed only 53 his last time out. The 40-year-old is still working his way back from an early-season bout of shoulder fatigue, but he could be given a longer leash moving forward if he feels good the next few days. He is next scheduled to pitch Sunday in a road contest against Detroit.

Gonzales (3-2) allowed three runs on nine hits over five innings in a win over the Padres on Tuesday. He struck out five and did not issue a walk.

Road starts in San Diego are now rather scary with the way the Padres' offense has been rolling, but Gonzales managed to come away with the win, scattering his nine hits and limiting the damage to three runs. The lefty now has a 14:0 K:BB in his last two starts, both against tough opponents (he threw seven innings of one-run ball against the Dodgers on Aug. 18). Seattle has been going with a six-man rotation, so don't expect to see Gonzales on the mound until next Monday against the Angels.

Javier (3-1) earned the win in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Angels after allowing three runs on three hits over 5.2 innings. He had five strikeouts and two walks.

The 24-year-old started with four scoreless frames, but the Halos were able to bring across three runs over the fifth and sixth innings. Javier has a 3.77 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 31:11 K:BB through 31 innings and will look to continue his strong rookie campaign next week against the Rangers.

Gibson (1-3) gave up seven runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six over 6.1 innings in a loss to the Athletics on Tuesday.

Gibson allowed a pair of two-run homers in the contest, to Matt Olson in the fourth inning and Marcus Semien in the fifth. Gibson then got into trouble early in the seventh, and reliever Ian Gibaut allowed two inherited runners to score. The 32-year-old Gibson saw his ERA inflate to 5.73 with a 1.48 WHIP and 26 strikeouts in 33 innings this season. Wins are hard to come by for any Rangers pitcher this season -- the right-hander will look for his second of the year in a tough home matchup with the Dodgers on Sunday.

Turnbull (3-2) pitched 5.2 scoreless innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Cubs. He allowed three hits and three walks while striking out five.

Turnbull narrowly missed his first quality start since Aug. 9, but it was an encouraging effort for the righty after he allowed six earned runs across 6.2 innings in his last two outings. Turnbull walked four batters in each of those previous two games, and he still lacked great command Tuesday with the three free passes, but he was able to work around them. He'll take a strong 2.97 ERA into his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled for Sunday against Minnesota.

Giolito (3-2) no-hit the Pirates, allowing just one walk and striking out 13 over nine innings in Tuesday's win.

Giolito cruised through his first career no-hitter on 101 pitches (74 strikes). The 13 strikeouts were the most in a no-hitter by a White Sox pitcher in franchise history. The stellar performance was also his fourth career complete game and third shutout. The 26-year-old now has a 3.09 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 58:17 K:BB across 43.2 innings this season. Giolito will look to maintain his recent dominance Sunday at home versus the Royals.
