Hart gave up two runs on two hits and four walks over 3.2 innings during Wednesday's win over the Phillies. He had five strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.

The 27-year-old has now issued seven walks through his first two starts, and he delivered only 39 of his 73 pitches for strikes Wednesday. Hart will need to illustrate better command to have a chance to work deeper into games, and his next opportunity should be Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Milone (1-3) took the loss Wednesday against the Blue Jays after allowing three runs on seven hits over six innings. He had seven strikeouts and zero walks.

Randal Grichuk did all the damage against Milone on Wednesday, with his solo homer during the fourth inning and two-run shot during the sixth accounting for all his charged runs. The veteran lefty has a 4.13 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 25:3 K:BB through 24 innings, and he'll look to get back in the win column Tuesday against the Rays.

Walker (2-2) earned the win Wednesday after holding the Dodgers to three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out eight across seven innings.

All of Walker's damage came via the long ball during what turned out to be a solid outing. The 28-year-old gave up a pair of home runs to Max Muncy and Joc Pederson in the second inning, followed by a solo homer to Cody Bellinger in the third. From there, Walker silenced a volatile Los Angeles lineup, fanning a season-high tying eight batters. The right-hander will carry a 4.00 ERA and 1.07 WHIP into next Wednesday's showdown at San Diego.

Lynn took a no-decision during Wednesday's loss to the Padres, giving up two runs on eight hits while striking out six across seven innings.

Making his first start against San Diego since 2017, Lynn limited the Padres' damage to a pair of solo home runs by Jurickson Profar and Fernando Tatis in the third inning. Otherwise, the right-hander did not issue any walks and provided depth into at least the seventh inning for the third time this season, including a complete game during his last start at Coors Field. Lynn will look to defend his shiny 1.37 ERA and 0.81 WHIP on Monday against Oakland.

Valdez (2-2) was charged with three runs (one earned) on seven hits over 7.2 innings in a win over the Rockies on Wednesday. He struck out five and issued one walk.

This start in Colorado was Valdez's toughest test yet this season and he passed with flying colors. In fact, he became just the sixth Astros pitcher ever to throw at least seven innings at Coors Field and allow one earned run or fewer, per Brian McTaggart of MLB.com. The 26-year-old lefty is displaying much better control and command than he did a year ago and looks to have real breakout potential. Valdez draws the Angels and A's at home next week.

Hill (1-1) allowed four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out one over 2.2 innings in a loss to the Brewers on Wednesday.

Shoulder fatigue pushed Hill to the injured list after one start. The Twins were hoping he could give them some length despite the missed time. "We're hoping he goes out and pitches like he normally would and gets us into the middle of the game," manager Rocco Baldelli told the Minneapolis Star Tribune prior to Wednesday's contest, "and hopefully we can win the game because he's pitched well and gotten us to that point." As it turned out, Hill couldn't get out of the third and was pulled after 53 pitches, although there has been no mention of a setback with the shoulder. The lefty lines up for road starts in Cleveland and Detroit next week.

Dunning pitched 4.1 innings, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in a no-decision versus the Tigers on Wednesday.

All of the damage against Dunning came on a Jeimer Candelario three-run blast in the fifth inning, which ended the righty's major-league debut. Dunning had a 2.76 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 62 innings in 2018 before he underwent Tommy John surgery. The White Sox have days off next Monday and Thursday, so they may be able to get by with a four-man rotation, making it unclear when Dunning's next start will come.

Cole allowed two earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out 10 across 6.2 innings Wednesday against the Rays. He did not factor into the decision.

Cole surrendered a pair of solo home runs, but looked dominant otherwise. He racked up 22 called strikes and 19 swinging strikes on 109 total pitches, allowing him to rack up double-digit punchouts for the second time this season. Cole now owns a 2.75 ERA with a 44:6 K:BB ratio across 36 innings. He's penciled in to draw his next start Tuesday at Atlanta.

Mize allowed three earned runs on seven hits across 4.1 innings in a no-decision Wednesday against the White Sox. He struck out seven and did not issue any walks.

Mize's MLB debut was a mixed bag. He exhibited excellent command in not walking anyone, and the seven strikeouts showcased how filthy his stuff can be. However, the rookie was also plenty hittable at times. He allowed a solo home run to Edwin Encarnacion in the second inning, then couldn't escape the fifth when he gave up a double and two singles before getting pulled with one out and having tossed 73 pitches. The 9-13 Tigers seem to be fading out of contention, so they'll probably keep Mize in the rotation and let him pick up valuable MLB experience, even if he has some hiccups in the early going. The 23-year-old is in line to take the mound again Monday against the Cubs.

Glasnow allowed two earned runs on two hits and three walks while striking out eight across 5.2 innings Wednesday against the Yankees. He did not factor into the decision.

Glasnow turned in his longest start of the season, needing 88 pitches to retire 17 hitters. The major damage against him came on a solo home run by Luke Voit in the third inning, though Glasnow largely stymied the Yankees' lineup on the strength of 23 called strikes and nine swinging strikes. Walks were still a problem for Glasnow, and he now owns a 5.6 BB/9 for the season. Still, he'll look to build on this relatively positive outing in his next start, currently projected to come Monday against Toronto.
