Anderson (oblique) could return from the injured list to start Saturday against the Red Sox, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.

Anderson has been dealing with an oblique strain since early in summer camp. If he does wind up starting Saturday, he isn't expected to throw more than three innings, as he's yet to build up to a full starter's workload.

Keller (1-0) earned the win against the Cubs on Thursday, pitching five scoreless innings and allowing three hits and two walks while striking out seven.

Keller missed most of summer camp due to a positive test for COVID-19, but he looked strong in his season debut Thursday, limiting Chicago to a trio of singles while tossing 52 of 75 pitches for strikes. The Royals' offense made Keller's outing mostly pressure-free, staking him to a nine-run lead by the end of the third inning. The right-hander will look to build on his promising opening act in a tough matchup on the road at Minnesota next Friday.

Montgomery (1-1) suffered the loss against Philadelphia on Thursday, pitching four innings and allowing five runs on six hits and one walk while striking out two.

After shining in his season debut last Friday, Montgomery couldn't tame the Phillies' offense, yielding five earned runs for the first time since his rookie campaign. The southpaw was torched by a three-run homer off the bat of J.T. Realmuto in the first inning, then gave up an additional pair of runs on a Phil Gosselin double in the third. The Yankees have a pair of off days coming up, so Montgomery isn't likely to take the mound again until next weekend against Boston.

Bielak did not factor into the decision during Thursday's loss. He held the Diamondbacks scoreless with one strikeout across five innings, allowing two hits and three walks.

Making his first career start, Bielak had no problem blanking the Diamondbacks over five innings of work. The 24-year-old left the game with the lead, but unfortunately Arizona evened the score and soon took the lead for good. Bielak had previously allowed just one run over his two bullpen appearances this season, bringing his ERA to 0.87 and WHIP to 1.16. Although he was making a spot start, the right-hander just may have earned himself another turn in the rotation. If so, he's projected to battle the Giants on Tuesday.

Carrasco (2-1) allowed one hit and four walks over six scoreless innings in a win over the Reds on Thursday. He struck out eight.

It looked like Carrasco lost a little something as he pushed up close to 100 pitches -- he issued back-to-back two-out walks and uncorked a wild pitch in the sixth inning -- but he was brilliant otherwise. Carrasco now has a 2.50 ERA and 23:6 K:BB in 18 innings this season. A borderline ace serving as the No. 3 starter for Cleveland, Carrasco lines up face the Cubs at home in his next start.

Walker (1-2) took the loss against the Angels on Thursday, pitching 3.2 innings and allowing four runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three.

Walker allowed only one hit -- a Shohei Ohtani homer -- through three innings, but he fell apart in the fourth and was unable to get out of the frame. A lack of control was primarily to blame, as Walker walked three batters and hit another in the inning, helping the Angels tally three runs. The right-hander was superb in his previous start but has otherwise struggled early in the season, and he now holds an unappealing 5.79 ERA and 1.21 WHIP while compiling a 12:6 K:BB through 14 innings. He'll head to Texas to take on the Rangers on Wednesday in his next scheduled start.

Bundy (2-1) earned the win against Seattle on Thursday, pitching nine innings and allowing one run on four hits while striking out 10. He did not walk a batter.

Bundy single-handedly provided a breather for the Angels' struggling bullpen, tossing his third career complete game and first since 2018. The right-hander gave up a fourth-inning home run to Dan Vogelbach but otherwise faced little resistance from the Mariners' offense, yielding only five baserunners while striking out 10. Bundy tossed 76 of 107 pitches for strikes in the contest and induced an impressive 16 swinging strikes over his nine frames. The 27-year-old has been a revelation for Los Angeles at the start of the campaign, allowing only five earned runs over 21.2 innings while compiling a superb 25:2 K:BB. He'll carry a 2.08 ERA and minuscule 0.60 WHIP into his next scheduled start, slated for Tuesday at home against Oakland.

Maeda allowed three earned runs on on three hits and one walk while striking out four across six innings Thursday against the Pirates. He did not factor into the decision.

Maeda didn't allow a baserunner in four of the six innings he pitched and dominated the Pirates for most of the outing. However, he ran into trouble in the second inning when he allowed the first two batters he faced to reach base before allowing a three-run home run to Gregory Polanco. Maeda's otherwise strong performance was a continuation of earlier outings this season, and he now has a 2.65 ERA with a 16:3 K:BB in 17 innings. He's currently in line to draw his next start Tuesday at Milwaukee.

Sandoval is a candidate to start Saturday against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The Angels have yet to announce a starter for Saturday's game, but it sounds like Sandoval could get the nod. The lefty looked solid in his lone big-league appearance before moving to the team's alternate camp site, allowing one earned run on four hits and a walk while striking out four batters in four innings.

Urquidy (undisclosed) threw off a mound Thursday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Urquidy is still building up his arm after missing the entirety of summer camp for undisclosed reasons. While this is a step in the right direction for the right-hander, manager Dusty Baker noted his return is not imminent. "The cavalry's a ways off," said the skipper, per Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.
