Bubic (0-2) allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out six over six innings in a loss to the Cubs on Wednesday.

Bubic more than held his own in his second career start, and in fact finished with more swinging strikes (13) than his counterpart, Yu Darvish (11). However, the 22-year-old lefty did not get any support from his offense and is now 0-2 despite a 3.60 ERA and 1.00 WHIP through 10 innings (all at home). Bubic will be put to the test in his next two starts: at Cincinnati and then at Minnesota.

McCullers (1-1) allowed eight runs on seven hits over 3.2 innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. He struck out one and walked none.

McCullers was perfect through three innings, inducing eight groundouts in addition to the one whiff. The second turn through the order went much worse, and the right-hander wouldn't escape the fourth inning. McCullers now has a 9.22 ERA and 1.83 WHIP after Wednesday's disaster. He'll try to get back on track Monday at home versus the Giants.

Dunning is building up his workload at the White Sox's alternate camp, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Dunning was one of the options to replace the injured Carlos Rodon (shoulder) in the rotation Saturday, but Chicago's prospect is still building innings. "He's continuing to build up his endurance and essentially is a guy who is coming back as a starter post-[Tommy John surgery] without the ability to go on rehab assignments,' White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said. "We have a very strict program he's following, and it doesn't quite include making his Major League debut come this Saturday." As such, the White Sox will go with an opener and bullpen day to cover Rodon's next scheduled turn. Dunning is expected to join the White Sox at a point during the season, but that's a few weeks away.

Ryu (1-1) allowed one hit and three walks over five scoreless innings in a win over the Braves on Wednesday. He struck out eight.

Ryu had 14 swings and misses on his changeup alone (32 pitches), per Keegan Matheson of MLB.com, and was throwing his cutter with a bit more oomph. His velocity was down in his start last week and the Nationals capitalized for nine hits in 4.1 innings. The lefty lines up to start the Blue Jays' first game at Sahlen Field in Buffalo -- the team's "home opener" -- Aug. 11 against the Marlins.

Cobb (0-1) took the loss during Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Marlins after allowing one runs on two hits with seven strikeouts and three walks over five innings.

Te only scoring of the game came on Brian Anderson's fourth-inning, solo homer, but that one swing proved to be enough to saddle Cobb with the loss. The right-hander hasn't been able to work deep into games through his first three starts with only 14.1 innings pitched, but he still has a 2.50 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 15:6 K:BB. He's next scheduled to take the mound next week in Philadelphia.

Gibson allowed three runs on four hits and two walks and struck out nine over six innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Wednesday.

Gibson was solid in his second start of the year, but he gave up homers to Matt Olson and Ramon Laureano to account for the three runs. The 32-year-old Gibson has a 2.45 ERA and 1.27 WHIP across 11 innings this season. He'll keep searching for his first win when he starts versus the Mariners at home Monday.

Clevinger (1-1) allowed two hits and five walks over 5.2 scoreless innings in a win over the Reds on Wednesday. He struck out four.

The right-hander debuted a new cutter, throwing it 14 times en route to his first win of the season. "It seems like a misfired fastball is all. I don't know," Clevinger told Mandy Bell of MLB.com. "Keeping that cat in the bag as long as possible." Clevinger went on to say, "It kind of has a mind of its own, that pitch by itself. But it's definitely a fun one to throw." While Clevinger has dealt with some mechanical issues early on this season, he said his surgically-repaired left knee is "building a little more endurance" each time out, helping the stability of his plant leg. Up next is a home start against the Cubs.

Keuchel (2-1) suffered the loss against the Brewers on Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk while striking out eight.

Despite taking his first loss, Keuchel tossed his longest game of the year after failing to complete six innings in his previous two outings. Aside from an RBI single by Eric Sogard in the third frame, the southpaw was lights-out, sending eight batters down on strikes. Across three starts, Keuchel owns a 2.55 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 11:2 K:BB. He'll look to get back into the win column Monday at Detroit.

Perez (2-1) allowed four hits and three walks while striking out four across five scoreless innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Rays.

Perez allowed a double to the first batter he faced, but managed work out of the early jam with a pop up, ground out, and strike out. He faced a similar scenario in the fourth inning, but remained unscathed. Perez has given himself a thin margin for error through three starts this season, striking out 11 and walking nine across 15.2 innings. Still, he'll carry a 3.45 ERA into his next start, currently projected for Tuesday in a rematch against the Rays.

Teheran (not injury related) was activated off the injured list ahead of his start Wednesday at Seattle.

The 29-year-old missed most of summer camp and the beginning of the regular season after contracting COVID-19, but he's set to make his 2020 debut Wednesday. According to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com, Teheran is built up to about 60 pitches, so he's unlikely to go much beyond four innings. The veteran right-hander had a 3.81 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 162:83 K:BB over 174.2 innings with Atlanta last season.
