Carrasco is scheduled to start the third game of the regular season against the Royals, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Carrasco is set to follow Shane Bieber and Mike Clevinger. The right-hander is looking to get back on track in 2020 after a difficult 2019 season. Over the past three seasons, Carrasco owns a 3.66 ERA and 10.5 K/9 in 472 innings.

Clevinger will start the second game of the season against the Royals, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Shane Bieber will get the ball first for Cleveland, with Clevinger and Carlos Carrasco to follow. Clevinger, now healthy following surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus, is looking to build off of an impressive 2019 campaign in which he posted a 2.71 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 169:37 K:BB in 126 innings.

Teheran (undisclosed) still doesn't have a timetable to return to the team, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Manager Joe Maddon said Thursday that he was unable to provide an update for when Teheran will arrive in camp, but he said that things are "trending in the right direction." At this point, it's likely that the right-hander will miss at least one turn through the rotation to begin the regular season. Matt Andriese, Felix Pena (knee) and Jaime Barria could step in as starters if Teheran isn't ready for the start of the season.

Paxton will start the Yankees' second regular-season contest, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Manager Aaron Boone confirmed Wednesday that Paxton will follow ace Gerrit Cole in the rotation for the team's season-opening series against the Nationals. The announcement comes as little surprise, especially considering Masahiro Tanaka's (concussion) questionable readiness for the start of the season. Paxton tossed his first intrasquad game of summer camp Wednesday, giving up home runs to Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, but otherwise looked sharp with five strikeouts over four innings.

Perez allowed five runs over five innings during Wednesday's intrasquad game, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Perez had first-inning difficulty before settling in over the final four frames. The left-hander is expected to start the second game of the season, July 25, at home against Baltimore.

Kluber threw 98 pitches over 5.2 innings during Wednesday's intrasquad game, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports. He allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four.

Kluber has routinely hit the five-inning mark during summer camp, whether that be simulated or intrasquad games, suggesting he'll be ready to provide length immediately. The right-hander will make one more camp start and is projected to pitch the third game of the season, July 26, at home against Colorado.

Keuchel did not allow a baserunner while pitching from the stretch for 3.2 innings during Wednesday's intrasquad game, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Following the outing, Keuchel said he's considering working exclusively from the stretch during the season. "I might be a left-handed, softer version of Stephen Strasburg," said Keuchel. "The windup really hasn't felt phenomenal to me, but then the other side of it is that the stretch has felt so locked in that I might just go with that." The left-hander has been efficient during his summer camp outings, but that has limited his innings. While other starters are up to four or five innings, Keuchel hopes to reach four-to-five innings in his final camp appearance Monday against the Cubs.

Luzardo is keeping his arm in shape with home exercises while he remains in quarantine due to his positive coronavirus test, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports. "He seemed great when I talked to him," A's pitching coach Scott Emerson said. "I'm not the guy to ask on the health stuff, but when we're talking casually, he's excited and ready to go to show everybody who Jesus Luzardo is."

The promising southpaw will have to produce two negative COVID-19 tests 24 hours apart before being allowed to rejoin his teammates, and there isn't a specific indication of where Luzardo is in that process at this point. The 22-year-old is reportedly feeling well and remains free of symptoms, so the team feels he'll be able to quickly ramp up for his regular-season debut when he returns. Nevertheless, manager Bob Melvin does plan to be cautious with his prize prospect, even if that means deploying him in some relief situations to start. "The luxury with him is that he did pitch out of the bullpen last year and as was successful doing it," Melvin said. "We'll do whatever is best for him and the team, but it depends on when we get him back. He's already politicking to me that he's gonna be ready to go and will only need to throw a bullpen once. We want to make sure, obviously, physically, that he's in position to do that."

Detroit manager Ron Gardenhire said that Boyd will be the team's Opening Day starter, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Boyd missed an intrasquad outing Tuesday, noting that he was kept out of the stadium due to testing protocol. There was some thought that this delay in his throwing schedule could make him unavailable for Opening Day, but the lefty said he'd pitch on short rest next week to get back on track for the July 24 opener.

Milone had his contract selected by Baltimore on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old was included in the Orioles' 60-player pool for the shortened season, and he's now officially been added to the 40-man roster. Milone appears to be in competition with Kohl Stewart for the fifth spot in the starting rotation, but with the potential for sudden absences due to the COVID-19 pandemic, both pitchers will likely have a place on the initial 30-man roster.
