Urquidy is on Houston's ALDS roster.

Urquidy opened the year in Double-A but will end it on a playoff roster for the top seed in the American League, an honor he deserves after posting a solid 3.95 ERA in 41 innings in his big-league debut. He's a candidate to start Game 4 against the Rays on Tuesday, should the series go to a fourth game.

Miley is on the Astros' ALDS roster.

Miley's 3.98 ERA on the season is perfectly respectable, but he fell off hard down the stretch, posting a 16.68 ERA and a 3.09 WHIP in five September starts. The Astros' haven't announced their rotation plans for a possible Game 4, but Miley's late struggles could mean he loses out to Jose Urquidy for that start.

Berrios was named the starter for Game 1 of the American League Division Series against the Yankees on Friday, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

The right-hander will take the mound for the first game of the ALDS against James Paxton, manager Rocco Baldelli announced Thursday. Berrios carries a 195:51 K:BB with a 14-8 record over 32 starts this season, although he has allowed a career-high 26 home runs.

Severino will start Game 3 of the American League Division Series against the Twins, Brendan Kuty of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

The 25-year-old made only three starts in the regular season after missing the majority of the season due to shoulder and lat injuries but will be a part of a three-man rotation in the ALDS with James Paxton and Masahiro Tanaka. Severino owns a 1.50 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 12 innings pitched this year.

Paxton was named the starter for Game 1 of the American League Division Series against the Twins, Brendan Kuty of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Paxton left his final start of the regular season with a tight left glute, but manager Aaron Boone revealed that the 30-year-old is ready to go when he named Paxton the starter for Game 1 of the ALDS. The southpaw notched a 2.51 ERA with a 10-0 record over the final two months of the season.

Snell is expected to start Game 2 of the ALDS on Saturday at Houston, Janie McCauley of the Associated Press reports.

Charlie Morton provided five scoreless innings during Wednesday's Wild Card Game and Tyler Glasnow will start the series opener, leaving Snell to take the ball for Game 2. The 26-year-old had an up-and-down season and allowed three runs over six innings after returning from the injured list in mid-September. Snell reached 62 pitches in his last appearance and seems likely to remain on an slightly higher pitch count Saturday.

Manager Kevin Cash said Glasnow is expected to start Game 1 of the ALDS at Houston on Friday, Janie McCauley of the Associated Press reports.

Glasnow posted a 1.46 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 21:5 K:BB over 12.1 innings across his four September outings after returning from a forearm strain, so it makes sense he'd receive the nod for Game 1 after Charlie Morton delivered five shutout frames in Wednesday's Wild Card Game. Glasnow topped out at 4.1 innings and 66 pitches during his last start Sept. 27, which provides a framework for his potential pitch count in the series opener

Verlander was named the starter for Game 1 of the American League Division Series on Friday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Manager A.J. Hinch confirmed the 36-year-old as the starter for Game 1 of the ALDS, a move that was widely expected following an effective season. The veteran recorded 300 strikeouts and a 21-6 record over the year. Verlander will face the winner of the American League Wild Card Game.

Greinke will start the third game of the ALDS on Monday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Greinke's 2.93 ERA and 0.98 WHIP wouldn't make him a third starter on many teams. For the Astros, however, he'll follow Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole.

Valdez will not be on the Astros' playoff roster, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Valdez struggled to a 5.86 ERA in 70.2 innings for the Astros this season. He won't be needed in the playoffs unless injuries strike Houston's bullpen.
