  • Chris Sale SP | ATL

Red Sox's Chris Sale: To start Game 1 of ALCS

Sale will draw the start against Houston for Game 1 of the ALCS on Saturday, Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reports.

As expected, Sale will take the mound after powering Boston to a win in Game 1 of the ALDS against the Yankees on Friday. In addition, he worked a spotless inning of relief during Tuesday's victory to help the club secure a spot in the American League Championship Series. During his lone start versus the Astros on June 1, he allowed four earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six across six innings.

  • Nathan Eovaldi SP | TEX

Red Sox's Nathan Eovaldi: Registers quality start

Eovaldi (1-0) got the win in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Yankees on Monday. He went seven innings and gave up one run on five hits while striking out five.

Eovaldi was regularly hitting triple digits with his fastball, and his lively stuff helped give the Red Sox a 2-1 series lead over the Yankees. He'll likely pitch one of the first two games in the ALCS if the Red Sox are able to advance.

  • Luis Severino SP | ATH

Yankees' Luis Severino: Gets rocked in loss

Severino took the loss in Monday's defeat to the Red Sox. He went three innings and gave up six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two.

After a strong four-inning outing against the A's on Tuesday, Severino struggled mightily against the Red Sox. While Lance Lynn did allow all three baserunners that Severino was responsible for to score, Severino clearly didn't have his best stuff in Game 3. He'll hope that the Yankees can stave off elimination against the Red Sox so that he'll have a chance for redemption.

  • Mike Clevinger RP | PIT

Indians' Mike Clevinger: Strikes out nine in loss

Clevinger started Game 3 of the ALDS against the Astros on Monday. He went five innings and gave up one run on three hits and three walks while striking out nine in a no-decision.

While the Indians' season may have ended Monday, it was through no fault of Clevinger's. He pitched excellently, with the sole blemish coming via a solo home run by George Springer. Clevinger will enter 2019 with a spot in a good Cleveland rotation.

  • Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL

Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Goes five innings in no-decision

Keuchel started Game 3 of the ALDS in Monday's series-clinching win over the Indians but didn't factor into the decision. He went five innings and gave up two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out two.

Keuchel got his postseason off to a solid start with Monday's performance even though he was in line to get the loss before the Astros scored three in the seventh. Houston hasn't announced its rotation for the ALCS yet, but Keuchel will likely start one of the first three games.

  • Nathan Eovaldi SP | TEX

Red Sox's Nathan Eovaldi: Tabbed as Game 3 starter

Eovaldi will start Game 3 of the ALDS against the Yankees on Monday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Eovaldi was originally in line to start a potential Game 4, but the Red Sox decided to make a switch to their rotation following Saturday's loss to New York. The right-hander produced a 1.35 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP in the month of September, so he'll look to keep that going when he faces off with Luis Severino on Monday night.

  • Chris Sale SP | ATL

Red Sox's Chris Sale: Gets win

Sale (1-0) gave up two runs on five hits and two walks over 5.1 innings in a win over the Yankees in Game 1 of the American League Division Series. He struck out eight.

After five dominant innings in which he struck out eight batters, singles from Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton ran Sale from the game in position to get the win. This was the first time Sale had reached five innings in a start in nearly two months, and his velocity appears to be back as well. David Price is scheduled to start Game 2 on Saturday at Fenway Park.

  • Corey Kluber SP | BOS

Indians' Corey Kluber: Takes the loss

Kluber (0-1) gave up four runs on six hits and two walks over 4.2 innings in a loss to the Astros in Game 1 of the American League Division Series. He struck out two.

Kluber pitched three scoreless frames before allowing four runs over the next two innings. The devastating blows were three solo shots, marking the fourth consecutive playoff start that Kluber has allowed at least two home runs. The right-hander posted a 2.89 ERA, 9.3 K/9 and 1.1 HR/9 in 2018 and will look to get back on track if he gets another opportunity in the Division Series.

  • Astros' Justin Verlander: Earns the win

Verlander (1-0) gave up two runs on two hits and two walks over 5.1 innings in a win over the Indians in Game 1 of the American League Division Series. He struck out seven.

Verlander was dominant early, retiring 15 of the first 16 batters he faced. The 35-year-old then allowed two singles and a walk to load the bases in the sixth inning. Verlander was promptly removed, and while two of his runners came around to score, the Houston bullpen only allowed one hit to secure the playoff win for the right-hander. Verlander posted a 12.2 K/9, 2.52 ERA and 16 wins in the regular season and will look to keep it rolling in his next playoff appearance.

  • Luis Severino SP | ATH

Yankees' Luis Severino: To start Game 3 of ALDS

Severino will pitch Game 3 of the ALDS against the Red Sox on Monday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

As expected, Severino will take the mound on normal rest after starting the AL Wild Card Game on Wednesday. During that outing versus Oakland, he tossed a scoreless four innings while allowing two hits and four walks, and striking out seven.
