  • Twins' Adalberto Mejia: Set to start Monday

Mejia will be recalled from Triple-A Rochester to start Monday's game against the Blue Jays, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Mejia made a spot start for the Twins at the end of June, allowing four runs on six hits over four innings in a loss to the Cubs. The 25-year-old has a road matchup against the Blue Jays this time around but still appears destined for another short stay in the majors with Ervin Santana (finger) nearing a return from the disabled list.

  • Shane Bieber SP | TOR

Indians' Shane Bieber: Will start Tuesday vs. Pirates

Bieber will be recalled from Triple-A Columbus to start Tuesday's game against the Pirates, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Because Bieber wasn't going to be available in the Indians' final two games before the All-Star break following his July 13 start against the Yankees, he was optioned to the minors to afford the team some more roster flexibility in the short term. As expected, he'll rejoin the Tribe when a fifth starter is first needed next week. Through his first seven outings in the majors, Bieber has gone 5-1 with a 3.53 ERA and 42:8 K:BB in 43.1 innings.

  • Frankie Montas RP | NYM

Athletics' Frankie Montas: Expected to start Tuesday

Athletics manager Bob Melvin suggested that Montas would likely be recalled from Triple-A Nashville to start Tuesday against the Rangers, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Montas was sent back to the minors July 10, a day after he tossed six scoreless innings to pick up a road win over the Astros. Since Montas hadn't been scheduled to start again prior to the All-Star break, his demotion had less to do with his performance than the Athletics prioritizing optimal roster flexibility. Montas has delivered a 3.35 ERA over eight starts this season, but a 1.39 WHIP and 5.6 K/9 have limited his fantasy utility.

  • Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL

Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Wins fourth straight start

Keuchel (8-8) picked up the win against the Angels on Friday, giving up one earned run on two hits over 7.2 innings, with five strikeouts and a walk in Houston's 3-1 victory.

Keuchel had some erratic results for much of the first part of the season, but he seems to have found his groove of late, as he's now 4-0 with 18 strikeouts over his last four starts. The strong stretch has evened out his ratios a bit and his 3.60 ERA and 1.25 WHIP could stand to improve even more if the 30-year-old can keep up his recent hot streak. He's set to take the mound next in a home matchup against the Rangers next Friday.

  • Vidal Nuno SP | WAS

Rays' Vidal Nuno: Slated for bullpen session

Nuno (hamstring) will throw a bullpen session Saturday, Bill Chastain of MLB.com reports.

Nuno was reported to be making good progress prior to the All-Star break, and this news confirms his recovery seems to be steadily progressing. If Saturday's session goes well, Nuno is likely to next head out on a minor-league rehab assignment.

  • Kyle Gibson SP | BAL

Twins' Kyle Gibson: Gives up four earned in loss

Gibson (4-7) took the loss against the Royals on Friday, giving up four earned runs on six hits over 5.1 innings, striking out five and walking two in the Twins' eventual 6-5 defeat.

Gibson wasn't at his sharpest in this one, but he's been providing unexpectedly solid fantasy value for much of the season. The 30-year-old is sporting a 3.57 ERA and 1.24 WHIP to go along with a 119:48 K:BB over 121.0 innings, so he's pitched much better than his record might indicate. He's slated to take the mound next in a road matchup against the Blue Jays next Wednesday.

  • Dylan Bundy SP | NYM

Orioles' Dylan Bundy: Serves up three homers in no-decision

Bundy didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 8-7 extra-inning loss to the Blue Jays, coughing up five runs on five hits -- including three home runs -- and a walk over five innings while striking out three.

The right-hander wasn't able to fix his recent struggles over the All-Star break, and Bundy has now given up five earned runs in each of his last three starts with an 8:6 K:BB in 12.1 innings over that rough stretch. He'll take a 4.57 ERA into his next outing Wednesday at home against the Red Sox.

  • Martin Perez SP | ATL

Rangers' Martin Perez: Surrenders 10 base knocks

Perez (2-5) allowed five runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out four over 5.1 innings Friday, although he didn't factor into the decision against Cleveland.

Perez was knocked around in the second inning, giving up three runs on four base hits. He was yanked from the game with one out in the fifth after tossing 105 pitches. Perez turned in a shaky performance coming out of the All-Star break, after delivering a stellar outing his previous turn through the rotation -- he surrendered one run across seven innings against the Orioles. The 27-year-old will look to deliver a more effective start in his next outing, which is slated for Wednesday versus Oakland.

  • Nathan Eovaldi SP | TEX

Rays' Nathan Eovaldi: Produces quality outing

Eovaldi allowed one run on six hits while fanning eight across six innings as he didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Marlins.

Eovaldi put together a strong showing with his only earned run coming off a solo homer by Derek Dietrich in the third inning. That's an improvement on his last outing before the All-Star break, as he gave up eight runs across just 2.2 innings against the Twins. Eovaldi managed to lower his ERA from 4.59 to 4.26 after his most recent performance.

  • Matthew Boyd SP | CHC

Tigers' Matt Boyd: Pitches well but takes loss Friday

Boyd (4-9) allowed just a single run over five innings but was saddled with the loss Friday against the Red Sox. He gave up three hits and two walks, while striking out six.

The 27-year-old lefty was good, but Boston starter David Price was better, keeping Detroit off the board for six innings. Three Red Sox relievers then combined to complete the shutout. Boyd had been struggling lately, and he still has a mediocre 4.62 ERA, but this was a nice start to the second half. He will look to build on this in his next outing, which is scheduled for Wednesday in Kansas City in what projects to be a favorable matchup.
