Kyle Gibson SP | BAL
Twins' Kyle Gibson has Tuesday start postponed by rain
Twins pitcher Kyle Gibson will not make his scheduled start Tuesday against the Indians, as the game has been postponed due to rain, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
After a 70-minute delay, the game was called and rescheduled as part of a Wednesday doubleheader. Cleveland will just move Cody Anderson back, and the Twins may very well do the same with Gibson, but they have not announced their starters for the twin bill.

Marcus Stroman SP | NYY
Blue Jays SP Marcus Stroman moved back following rain out
Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman will not make his scheduled start Tuesday against Baltimore, as the game has been postponed due to rain, Brendan Kennedy of the Toronto Star reports.
The game has been rescheduled as part of a Wednesday doubleheader, with Stroman tabbed to start Game 1. With seven scoreless innings against the Yankees his last time out, Stroman lowered his ERA to 1.89 through three starts.

Lance McCullers SP | MIL
Astros SP Lance McCullers earns win in Monday's start
Astros pitcher Lance McCullers won his sixth game behind a quality start Monday against Seattle, as he allowed two runs on four hits and two walks over six innings. He also struck out seven.
Since a blowup against the Rangers to open August, McCullers has been lights out, with quality starts in six of his seven starts. He now has a 44:13 K:BB in that span.
Still, Monday marked McCullers's first victory since July 29 against the Angels, a much needed reprieve after a stint in which the Astros scored more than three runs for him just twice. His ERA is down to 3.21.

Justin Verlander SP | DET
Tigers' Justin Verlander allows one run in Monday's win
Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander won his fifth game of the season Monday against the Rangers, allowing just one run with five strikeouts and one walk in six innings.
Aside from a solo homer and a double by Prince Fielder, Verlander limited the streaky Rangers offense to singles.
The veteran has been excellent since the start of August, with a 2.53 ERA in 10 starts, and he is starting to resemble the ace he was a couple of years ago. Verlander's final start of the season will come Sunday against the White Sox.

Eduardo Rodriguez SP | ARI
Red Sox SP Eduardo Rodriguez shines in win over Yankees
Red Sox rookie starter Eduardo Rodriguez won his 10th game Monday against the Yankees as he allowed just one run on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out five.
Rodriguez scattered the seven hits by holding the Yankees to just one extra-base hit, a Jacoby Ellsbury double. Rodriguez hasn't allowed more than three earned runs since August 12, a seven-start stretch in which Rodriguez owns a 34:9 K:BB and has lowered his ERA from 4.83 to 3.85. This is why Rodriguez was a coveted prospect and a run that should lock him into a starting spot next season.

Corey Kluber SP | BOS
Corey Kluber, Indians fall to Twins on Monday
Indians starter Corey Kluber fell to 8-16 with a loss Monday against the Twins, as he allowed four runs on seven hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out six.
Kluber has now received two or fewer runs of support in 17 of his 31 starts, and that's the real explanation behind his brutal record this year. Still, Kluber's ERA is up to 3.62, over a full run higher than his 2014 mark, and the home run he gave up to Trevor Plouffe was the 22nd he has allowed this year. If Kluber is going to contend for another Cy Young award, he'll have to find a way to keep the ball in the yard.

Tommy Milone SP | SEA
Twins' Tommy Milone turns in solid outing in spot start Monday
Twins pitcher Tommy Milone won his ninth game Monday against Cleveland as he allowed two runs on four hits over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out four and didn't walk a batter.
Milone threw 82 pitches, and that was probably his limit considering he hadn't pitched since September 17th. An illness for Phil Hughes forced Milone into action, and it's unclear if he'll pitch again this season, but he showed why he's a fine backup to have around. His ERA is down to 4.04 to go with an 86:34 K:BB in 122 2/3 innings.

Sonny Gray SP | BOS
A's SP Sonny Gray won't pitch Wednesday; done for 2015
Athletics ace Sonny Gray (hip) has been scratched from his scheduled start Wednesday and will not pitch again this season, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Barry Zito will start in his place Wednesday, while Gray will finish his season with a 14-7 record, 2.73 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 169:59 K:BB over 208 innings. He'll almost certainly be all healed up by spring training, and considering he'll only be 26 years old, it's more than likely we haven't seen Gray's best seasons yet.

James Paxton SP | BOS
Mariners pitcher James Saxton unlikely to start Wednesday
Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon said it's highly unlikely that pitcher James Paxton will start Wednesday, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
The Mariners were hopeful that Paxton would be able to pitch Wednesday, but it appears that will not be the case. It remains to be seen if he will take the ball again before the regular season comes to a close.

Nathan Eovaldi SP | TEX
Yankees' Nathan Eovaldi progressing in recovery from elbow injury
Yankees pitcher Nathan Eovaldi (elbow) played catch Monday, Sweeny Murti of Sportsradio 66 WFAN reports.
It's the third time in four days that Eovaldi was able to play catch, clearly an encouraging sign after suffering from elbow inflammation. Per manager Joe Girardi, Eovaldi won't be on the roster should the Yankees be in the Wild Card game, but could be a candidate to join the bullpen if the team continues to advance.
