Ragans (groin) allowed five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four over three innings in a no-decision in Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader versus the Royals.

Ragans squandered a four-run lead in the third inning, and that was enough to end his first start back after missing nearly three weeks with the groin injury. He wasn't very sharp, throwing just 47 of 78 pitches for strikes in his return. The southpaw has gone no more than five innings in any of his last six outings, and he's given up at least four runs in five of them. He's at a 5.18 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 76:16 K:BB through 48.2 innings over 10 starts this season. Ragans is tentatively projected to make his next start at home in a tough matchup against the Yankees.

Cecconi (1-2) took the loss Thursday against the Yankees, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out three.

Cecconi got no run support in the loss, as the Yankees' pitching staff shut the Guardians out. Still, it was a decent outing for the 26-year-old, especially considering he allowed five runs and three homers in his most recent start. In four appearances this season, Cecconi has a 4.87 ERA and a 20:7 K:BB across 20.1 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Reds for his next start.

Fried (8-1) picked up the win Thursday against Cleveland, allowing one hit and two walks with seven strikeouts over six shutout innings.

Fried began the 2025 season with a 1.29 ERA across his first 11 starts before being tagged for six earned runs in five innings by the Dodgers in his most recent appearance. The 31-year-old southpaw bounced back in a big way Thursday, holding Cleveland to just one hit and firing his fifth scoreless start of the season. Fried has struck out seven or more batters in six of his 12 starts this season and boasts a 1.78 ERA across 81 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Royals next time out.

Festa (0-1) took the loss Thursday against the A's, allowing eight runs on six hits and two walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out six.

It was a rough day for Festa, who was recalled from Triple-A ahead of the game to make his first start with the Twins since April 23. The right-hander gave up four runs in the opening inning, with three coming on a Max Muncy homer, before Festa gave up three more runs on a pair of long balls in the third. The 25-year-old Festa sports a 5.40 ERA through four major-league starts (16.2 innings) this season with a 1.50 WHIP and 21:7 K:BB. Despite his struggles Thursday, Festa could get another look in Minnesota's rotation with Pablo Lopez (shoulder) facing an extended absence.

Bassitt (6-3) earned the win against the Phillies on Thursday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts over seven innings.

Bassitt was given an early lead and cruised to his second straight win while completing seven innings for the first time this season. The veteran threw 62 of 99 pitches for strikes and yielded just two hard-hit balls in a strong bounce-back effort after surrendering 10 runs over his previous two starts. He'll carry a 3.56 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 75:17 K:BB across 73.1 innings into a road matchup with the Cardinals next week.

Cameron allowed two hits and two walks while striking out three over six scoreless innings in a no-decision in Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader versus the Cardinals.

Cameron has now rattled off five straight quality starts to begin his major-league career, and this was his second scoreless outing. He has yet to give up more than one run in any start, pitching to a 0.85 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 19:10 K:BB. That last ratio offers a reason for caution, as his walk rate in particular could cause problems later when his luck evens out. With Cole Ragans (groin) returning to action in the nightcap, it's unclear if Cameron will remain in the Royals' rotation heading into next week. Cameron's performance could give the team reason to roll with a six-man rotation or bump the struggling Michael Lorenzen to the bullpen.

Woo (5-3) took the loss Thursday against the Orioles, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out six.

Woo got off to a nice start Thursday, holding Baltimore to one run on just two hits through his first five innings. However, things would unravel in the sixth when Woo gave up three runs on back-to-back homers by Adley Rutschman and Gunnar Henderson. Woo's been hurt by the long ball recently -- he's given up four homers over 12.2 innings in his last two outings. Overall, the 25-year-old right-hander's ERA sits at 3.07 with a 0.96 WHIP and 69:11 K:BB across 12 starts (76.1 innings) this season.

Eflin (5-2) earned the win Thursday over the Mariners, allowing three runs on eight hits over six innings. He struck out seven.

Eflin was able to scatter the majority of Seattle's hits, allowing just a two-out RBI single to Cal Raleigh in the third inning before Raleigh smacked a two-run homer in the fifth. The Orioles would ultimately rally for a 4-3 victory, giving Eflin his second straight win. The 31-year-old right-hander sports a 4.47 ERA with a 1.12 WHIP and 31:6 K:BB through eight starts (46.1 innings) this season. Eflin tentatively lines up for a road matchup with the Tigers in his next outing.

The Rangers optioned Rocker to Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday.

Rocker was shelled for five runs in just 3.1 innings during his start Wednesday against the Rays. Poor outings have become a common theme for the 25-year-old righty this season, who now owns an 8.87 ERA and 1.84 WHIP through six MLB starts. He'll attempt to find his footing in the minor leagues; meanwhile, Chris Martin (shoulder) will return from the injured list to fill the opening in Texas' pitching staff.

Burke did not factor into the decision in Thursday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Tigers, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk with five strikeouts over seven innings.

Burke cruised through six innings before losing a 2-0 lead in the seventh. He threw a season-high seven frames and generated an impressive 15 whiffs on 96 pitches. The 25-year-old has now logged at least six innings in five of his past seven appearances, yielding more than two earned runs just once during that stretch. On the season, he owns a 4.03 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 50:32 K:BB across 67 innings and lines up for a road matchup with the Astros next week.
