Keller kept pace with Merrill Kelly in Monday's pitching duel before the former gave up the first runs of the game in the sixth on a Max Kepler double, though Keller came away with the no-decision after his Pirates teammates forced extra-innings. He's given up two earned runs or less in back-to-back starts and sports a 4.83 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 87:38 K:BB over 113.2 innings this season. Keller is lined up to face the Reds on the road this weekend.

He'll take a 4.86 ERA and 1.45 WHIP over 109.1 innings into his next start, which is slated for this weekend on the road against the Guardians.

Monday's game between the Guardians and the Reds has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Monday's game will be made up Tuesday in a doubleheader, and Burns will start in Game 1, per Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati. The 23-year-old right-hander is having an outstanding season, sporting a 12-1 record over 19 starts with a 2.42 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 124:39 K:BB across 107.2 innings.

Cabrera (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Iowa on Friday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Cubs manager Craig Counsell relayed Monday that Cabrera will likely need three rehab starts before rejoining the rotation, which would put the right-hander on track to return to the majors in mid-August. Cabrera landed on the 15-day injured list in late June due to a left hamstring injury. In his 14 starts before the injury, he had a 5-4 record with a 5.10 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 65:29 K:BB over 72.1 innings.

Liberatore is expected to be piggybacked by Hunter Dobbins in Monday's start versus the Cubs, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

The opposition is slashing .358/.463/.627 off Liberatore the third time through the batting order, so the southpaw will likely be allowed to face the lineup just twice before turning things over to Dobbins. Liberatore has collected a 5.18 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 95:38 K:BB over 99 innings covering 20 starts for St. Louis this season.

Dobbins is expected to piggyback Matthew Liberatore in Monday's game against the Cubs, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

It had seemed as though Dobbins would draw another spot start this week, but instead he will follow Liberatore out of the bullpen in a tandem outing Monday. Dobbins tossed six shutout frames in a start last week against the Angels and holds a 3.18 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 28:10 K:BB across 28.1 innings with St. Louis this season. The righty could receive regular turns in the Cardinals' rotation soon if the club trades Dustin May at the deadline.

Susana (lat) faced hitters last week and could see his first game action of the season soon, Spencer Nusbaum of The Athletic reports.

The 22-year-old right-hander with the triple-digit fastball underwent lat surgery last September, but Susana appears to be entering the final stages of his recovery. The Nationals still plan to continue his development as a starting pitcher once he's activated from the IL, but if the team does squeak into the playoffs in 2026, his elite raw stuff could make him an option for a Washington bullpen that has lacked reliable high-leverage relievers all season.

High-A Greensboro placed Hernandez on its 7-day injured list Saturday due a left oblique discomfort, Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports.

Hernandez's most recent appearance with Greensboro came Friday, when he logged three shutout innings with five strikeouts. The Pirates haven't provided an update on the severity of the young right-hander's injury, making it difficult to project whether he'll pitch again in 2026. Hernandez has put together a dominant first season in the professional ranks, collecting a 2.43 ERA and 118:31 K:BB over 74 innings between Greensboro and Single-A Bradenton.

Triple-A Gwinnett placed Waldrep (arm) on the 7-day injured list Tuesday.

Waldrep's move to the IL came just two days after he noticed a dip in velocity during a three-inning start versus Toledo. Specifics regarding Waldrep's injury remain vague, with Atlanta manager Walt Weiss merely noting that the right-hander experienced some arm discomfort during his most recent outing at Triple-A. Waldrep had coughed up 10 earned runs on 13 hits and 10 walks over 10.2 innings in three appearances (two starts) for Atlanta before he was demoted to Triple-A on July 10.

Snell (elbow) will be re-evaluated after Wednesday's rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City to determine whether he's ready to rejoin the Dodgers' rotation next week, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Snell is slated for four innings and/or 60 pitches Wednesday in that will be his third rehab start. He's covered a total of four frames while permitted one run and a 7:1 K:BB in his first two rehab outings. Snell has been sidelined since late May following a NanoScope procedure on his left elbow, but he's almost ready to rejoin the rotation for the defending champs.
