Stone was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City and will serve as the Dodgers' bulk pitcher Sunday at Boston, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The 24-year-old right-hander is expected to follow opener Caleb Ferguson in Sunday's series finale at Fenway Park. Stone has allowed 18 runs -- 17 earned -- in 12 innings of work this season at the major-league level.

Perez came away with a no-decision Saturday in the Marlins' 3-2 loss to the Nationals, allowing just one unearned run on three hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out seven.

The rookie right-hander was impressive, generating 14 swinging strikes on only 76 pitches, but he left the mound with the score tied 1-1. Perez has delivered back-to-back quality starts after a couple bumpier outings in his return to the big-league rotation, putting to rest for now any worries the 20-year-old could be tiring -- Perez is up to 110.2 innings this season between Triple-A and the majors, a big jump from his 77 innings in the minors in 2022. Miami will likely try to find extra rest for him down the stretch, but Perez's next outing still lines up for a road series next weekend and a potential rematch with the Nationals.

Irvin came away with a no-decision Saturday in the Nationals' 3-2 win over the Marlins, allowing one run on four hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out three.

In a matchup of rookie right-handers, Irvin battled the more heralded Eury Perez to a stalemate over six frames, leaving the mound after 96 pitches (58 strikes) with the score tied 1-1. It's the third straight quality start for Irvin, but he hasn't gotten a decision in any of them, and his last win came back on July 21. In six outings since, he sports a 3.15 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 31:11 K:BB through 34.1 innings. Irvin will try to get back in the win column in his next start, a potential rematch with the Marlins back in Washington next weekend.

Fried (5-1) picked up the win in Saturday's 7-3 victory over the Giants, giving up two runs on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out eight.

A two-run shot off the bat of Wilmer Flores in the second inning accounted for most of the damage off Fried, who has delivered three quality starts in five outings since coming off the IL at the beginning of the month. The southpaw has a 3.58 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 28:5 K:BB through 27.2 innings in August, numbers below his usual standards, and he faces a potentially tough test in his next start, which is likely to come on the road next week against the NL West-leading Dodgers.

Wheeler (10-6) earned the win over St. Louis on Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and no walks while striking out 10 batters over seven innings.

Wheeler served up Luken Baker's first MLB homer in the third frame, but that was the only run the Cardinals managed against him. The veteran hurler finished with his fourth double-digit strikeout effort of the campaign and completed exactly seven innings for his third straight start. Wheeler has been invaluable to the Phillies for his ability to go deep into contests of late -- he hasn't completed fewer than six frames in any of his nine starts since July 1. Among NL hurlers, he's tied for seventh with 158 innings pitched and ranks sixth with 175 strikeouts on the campaign.

Carrasco dropped to 3-8 in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Angels, allowing five runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out one batter over 1.2 innings.

Carrasco didn't have a great first inning, but he escaped having yielded just one run. Things got much worse for him in the second, when the Angels racked up five hits -- including two doubles, a triple and a homer -- and scored four runs before he could get three outs. Carrasco was pulled having gone a season-low 1.2 frames, and Saturday marked the eighth time on the campaign he's given up at least five runs in an outing. The veteran's season ERA now stands at an unsightly 6.80, and it's even worse at 10.24 over 29 innings since the All-Star break.

Davies (back) allowed a run on five hits and two walks while striking out five over five-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Reds on Saturday.

Davies was solid in his return from lower-back inflammation, with his lone mistake being a solo home run by Matt McLain in the sixth inning. Davies threw 86 pitches (54 strikes) in the start, his sharpest since he posted seven shutout innings against the Rays on June 28. The veteran right-hander has had more downs than ups in 2023, pitching to a 6.93 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 51:29 K:BB through 62.1 innings over 13 starts. He's projected for a tough home start versus Baltimore next week.

Urias (11-7) took the loss Saturday, allowing six runs on eight hits and one walk over six innings against Boston. He struck out nine.

The 27-year-old southpaw served up three home runs Saturday, including Adam Duvall's three-run shot in the sixth inning that gave Boston a lead that would not be relinquished. Urias had been phenomenal in his previous five starts, posting a 2.03 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, and an impressive 32:4 K:BB across 31 innings during that span. However, Saturday's clunker inflated his season-long ERA to a disappointing 4.41. Urias is projected to face a tough Atlanta lineup at home next week.

Peralta (11-8) earned the win over San Diego on Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out nine batters over 5.1 innings.

Peralta had to work for it -- he needed 94 pitches to get through 5.1 frames -- but the right-hander extended his win streak to five outings. He had his strikeout stuff working again in the victory, racking up 17 swings-and-misses and nine punchouts. Peralta has been dominant over his past six starts, posting a 59:10 K:BB over 36 innings along with a 1.75 ERA and 0.86 WHIP. He's been vaulting up the strikeout leaderboard and now ranks eighth in the majors with 177 punchouts on the campaign.

Lively (pectoral) allowed three runs on six hits and struck out five without walking a batter over 5.2 innings, taking a no-decision in Saturday's extra-innings win over the Diamondbacks.

Lively missed just over three weeks with a pectoral strain. The right-hander was the Reds' third pitcher of the contest, and he held his own with a solid outing, aside from a three-run home run by Ketel Marte in the fifth inning. Lively has gone seven appearances without a win, but he had just one truly awful outing in that span. He's at a 5.17 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 69:19 K:BB through 76.2 innings over 15 appearances (12 starts) this season. Lively is projected to make his next appearance at home against the Cubs.
