Cabrera (1-1) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over six innings against San Francisco. He struck out eight.

Cabrera was excellent after surrendering a two-run home run to Mike Yastrzemski in the first inning, blanking the Giants over his final five frames while allowing just three hits. The 25-year-old Cabrera has issued just three walks in his last two starts after walking 13 in his first two outings. He lowers his ERA to 4.08 with a 1.75 WHIP and 18:16 K:BB through 17.2 innings this season.

Lodolo (2-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Rays, allowing eight runs on 12 hits and one walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out four.

Lodolo had no answer for the Rays on Tuesday, allowing 12 hits, including three home runs, en route to his first loss of the season. The young left-hander's ERA ballooned from 2.12 to 4.98 after the rough outing. Lodolo has a 31:7 K:BB and 1.71 WHIP through 21.2 innings this season. He's currently lined up to make his next start at home against Texas, where he'll look to get back on track.

Giants manager Gabe Kapler told reporters after Tuesday's game against the Marlins that Wood (hamstring) will likely be placed on the 15-day injured list, Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Wood left his start in the third inning after suffering a left hamstring strain while fielding a bunt and making an awkward throw to first. The left-hander appears all but certain to log an IL stint, and the Giants will consequently need to add a rotation arm for the next couple of weeks at the very least.

Houser (groin) allowed two runs over three innings of work with a walk and five strikeouts in a rehab appearance for Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

Houser threw 59 pitches, with 37 of them landing for strikes. It's the second rehab appearance for the right-hander as he works his way back from groin tightness that has sidelined him for the beginning of the 2023 campaign. Assuming a positive report following the outing, there's a good chance Houser joins the Brewers as a multi-inning relief option by the end of the week.

Wood left Tuesday's start against the Marlins with a left hamstring strain, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Wood picked up the injury while fielding a sacrifice fly in the third inning of his start against the Marlins. The left-hander should be considered day-to-day for now, but there's a very good chance he'll need to miss a start or two depending on the severity of the strain.

Wood awkwardly fielded a sacrifice bunt and was checked out by trainers before exiting the contest. The left-hander should be considered day-to-day at this point but is in danger of missing his next scheduled start over the weekend against the Mets.

Burnes (pectoral) will play catch Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Burnes said Tuesday that he's feeling much better after being pulled from Monday's start with a strained left pectoral muscle. More will be known regarding his status for his next scheduled start Sunday against Boston after he plays catch, but the 28-year-old ace remains very confident he won't miss his next turn.

Padres manager Bob Melvin announced Tuesday that Musgrove (toe/shoulder) will be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Saturday in Arizona, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

Yu Darvish has been pushed back to Sunday's series finale against the Diamondbacks. Musgrove got knocked around a bit in his two-start minor-league rehab assignment, but he also struck out 14 batters and issued only one walk across 9.1 innings. Recovered from a fractured toe and minor shoulder scare, the 30-year-old right-hander can be a top-flight fantasy starter the rest of the way.

Darvish is now scheduled to start Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Darvish was originally scheduled to get the ball Saturday against Arizona, but Joe Musgrove is now going to make his season debut in that contest, so the ace of the Padres will be moved to Sunday.

Carrasco was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to April 16, with right elbow inflammation.

Carrasco had struggled to an 8.56 ERA through 13.2 innings (three starts) this season with the Mets and is now in for an extended absence. It's worth noting that he also battled elbow trouble toward the end of spring training. Jeff Brigham has been called up to work out of the bullpen. New York will have to add another starter this weekend.
