Steele (2-5) gave up two earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three in five innings en route to the win Saturday against Atlanta.

He did the bare minimum from an innings standpoint and wasn't overly dominant, generating just six whiffs all game, but Steele registered his second win of the season. As things stand, he lines up to bring his four-seamer/slider combination to the mound next week in Pittsburgh.

Wright (7-4) gave up five earned runs on 11 hits and one walk while striking out eight in six innings Saturday against the Cubs. He took the loss.

The wind wasn't blowing significantly out in this one, and indeed, Wright didn't give up a home run, but the 11 hits allowed topped his previous season high of nine. Despite this shaky outing against an inferior opponent, Wright's season ERA still sits at 2.94. He tentatively lines up to start at home against the Giants next week.

Lodolo (back) struck out six batters in two innings during Saturday's rehab start against Triple-A Durham.

He was in complete control in this latest rehab outing. Lodolo is expected to need at least one more tuneup in the minors before returning to the big-league rotation. Considering the Reds aren't worried about the standings this year, they will probably be conservative with Lodolo's usage and the pace of his rehab, but he is talented enough to move the needle in fantasy once he is back in the majors.

May (elbow) threw 40 pitches during an up-down side session Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

May has progressed smoothly in his rehab over the last several months, and the next step in his recovery process will be to face live hitters. Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that the right-hander will have at least four throwing sessions against live hitters, and the team hopes that he'll be able to build up to four innings by the final session. As long as he fares well against live hitters in the coming weeks, May will likely begin a rehab assignment afterward.

Heaney (shoulder) will start Sunday's game against the Guardians, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Heaney has been on the injured list since April 20 due to left shoulder discomfort, but he'll return to the mound Sunday after he didn't have any issues during Friday's side session. The southpaw was dominant over his first two starts of the season, posting a 16:3 K:BB and 0.68 WHIP in 10.1 scoreless innings.

Clevinger allowed two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out two over two relief innings against Colorado on Friday.

Clevinger was activated from the COVID-19 injured list earlier in the day, and he came into the contest in the fifth inning after starter MacKenzie Gore was roughed up for eight runs in four-plus frames. Clevinger had his own struggles, yielding four straight hits that resulted in two runs to begin the sixth inning. This was the right-hander's first appearance on a big-league mound since June 15 and just his second outing over the past month. With Joe Musgrove landing on the COVID-19 IL on Friday, Clevinger will presumably be in line for a start against either Arizona or Philadelphia next week.

Ashby (forearm) performed well during a throwing session Saturday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Ashby exited Thursday's start against the Mets as a precautionary measure due to left forearm tightness, but he's downplayed the severity of the issue in recent days. He said Friday that he expects to make his next turn through the rotation, and he was able to ramp up his intensity during Saturday's throwing session. Manager Craig Counsell said Saturday that the left-hander remains day-to-day for now, but he's certainly trending in the right direction.

Freeland (3-5) picked up a seven-inning win against the Padres on Friday, allowing four runs on eight hits while striking out none and walking one.

Freeland did not pitch his best, but picked up a win anyway, thanks to his offense scoring 10 runs. Although he did not strike out any batters and allowed eight hits, the lefty was able to limit the damage to four runs. Freeland showed efficiency, throwing 56 of 82 pitches for strikes across seven frames. He will have to be sharper in his next outing, tentatively set for a road matchup in pitcher-friendly Miami, as he can't expect as much run support away from home.

Carrasco (8-2) picked up the win in Friday's 10-4 victory over the Marlins, giving up three runs on eight hits and two walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out seven.

The veteran right-hander tossed 98 pitches (70 strikes) en route to his fifth quality start of the season, and his fifth win in his last six outings. Carrasco has also re-discovered his old strikeout form, posting a 40:9 K:BB through 34 innings over that six-start stretch despite a lackluster 4.24 ERA and 1.41 WHIP. With the Mets' rotation still beset by injuries, Carrasco has emerged as arguably the team's most reliable arm -- a remarkable turnaround for a 35-year-old who hasn't reached triple-digit innings in a season since 2018.

Lopez (4-3) took the loss Friday as the Marlins were downed 10-4 by the Mets, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on eight hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out five.

New York jumped on the right-hander for three runs in the first inning before chasing him from the game as part of a seven-run sixth. Lopez was dominant through his first seven starts this season but has regressed significantly in his last six, posting a 5.23 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 31:12 K:BB through 32.2 innings over that stretch.
