Hill logged a no-decision Saturday against the Reds, going five innings and allowing four runs on five hits and a walk with four strikeouts.

Hill kept Cincinnati off the board for the first three innings until Eugenio Suarez got to him for a three-run home run in the fourth. Kyle Farmer added a solo blast in the next frame to give the Reds a 4-1 cushion. Hill has logged a pair of no-decisions in his first two starts since being acquired from Tampa Bay, allowing six earned runs over 10 innings with a 5:3 K:BB.

Keller will start Sunday's game against the Phillies, Jake Crouse of MLB.com reports.

Keller was promoted from Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday and will rejoin Pittsburgh's rotation two days later. The 25-year-old struggled with a 7.04 ERA in 12 starts before being demoted in mid-June to Triple-A, where he made eight starts and posted a 3.21 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 39:13 K:BB across 28 innings.

Nola allowed two runs on three hits and a walk over six innings in Saturday's no-decision against the Pirates. He logged five strikeouts.

It was the second consecutive quality start turned in by Nola, who registered zeroes in every inning but the third, when Kevin Newman tripled in a run and Ben Gamel followed with an RBI single. The 28-year-old Nola has been inconsistent in 2021, but he appears to be trending in the right direction heading into August, having posted 14 strikeouts against just one walk with three earned runs allowed over his last two appearances (14.2 innings). He's tentatively scheduled to face Washington on the road in his next start.

Brubaker allowed one run on three hits and a pair of walks while striking out four over six innings Saturday against the Phillies. He did not factor into the decision.

Brubaker held the Phillies to an Aaron Nola sacrifice fly in the fifth inning and exited the game with a 2-1 lead, but Philadelphia tied the game in the eighth to extend Brubaker's skid to nine consecutive starts without a victory. On the bright side, Saturday's performance was Brubaker's first quality start in five July outings. He's 4-10 in 19 starts overall this season, logging a 4.49 ERA and 1.17 WHIP with a 103:25 K:BB in 102.1 innings.

Paddack was placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained left oblique Saturday.

The move was made retroactive to Wednesday, so Paddack will be eligible to return as soon as next Friday, though whether or not he's expected to be healthy by then remains to be seen. Paddack's spot in the rotation is due up Sunday against the Rockies. It's possible Reiss Knehr, who was recalled in a corresponding move, will temporarily take his place in the rotation.

Gonsolin was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with right shoulder inflammation, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The right-hander has apparently been dealing with the shoulder issue on and off, per Eric Stephen of SBNation.com, and he'll head to the injured list after surrendering two runs on a hit and five walks over 1.2 innings Friday against the Diamondbacks. It's unclear how long Gonsolin is expected to be sidelined, but he'll be eligible to be activated Aug. 10 at Philadelphia.

Kershaw (forearm) is dealing with some residual soreness from his last simulated game and may not throw Sunday as previously scheduled, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The left-hander was slated to throw about four innings and 60 pitches in another sim game Sunday, but there may be a change of plans due to the soreness from his last sim game Tuesday. Manager Dave Roberts suggested this isn't a setback and that the soreness isn't related to the forearm issue that sent Kershaw to the injured list. Kershaw was targeting a return to the rotation next Saturday against the Angels, though that plan is obviously also in jeopardy.

The Mets outrighted Eickhoff to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

As anticipated, Eickhoff went unclaimed off waivers after the Mets designated him for assignment for the third time this season. The veteran right-hander has been roughed up over his five outings (four starts) at the big-league level this season, posting an 8.69 ERA and 2.03 WHIP across 19.2 innings.

Suarez will start Monday's game and be a starting pitcher going forward, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

The lefty will throw about three innings in his first big-league start since 2018 and will build up for a larger workload. The acquisition of Ian Kennedy meant Suarez would no longer be the primary closer, and the Phillies feel he can be more useful as a replacement for the struggling Matt Moore.

Anderson (shoulder) has been throwing side sessions and will begin a rehab assignment soon, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Anderson, who was placed on the injured list July 16 with right shoulder inflammation, is scheduled to throw another side session Monday. The righty posted a 3.56 ERA and 5-5 record in 96 innings before the injury. It's unclear exactly when Anderson will return, but he figures to require at least a couple rehab outings after the extended absence.
