Tyler Anderson SP | LAA
Giants' Tyler Anderson: Solid in win
Anderson (3-3) allowed two unearned runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four in 5.2 innings in a win over the Athletics on Sunday.
Anderson was ejected from his start Thursday, allowing him to pitch again on short rest, and he delivered solid results given the circumstances. The 30-year-old lowered his ERA to 4.53 with a 1.38 WHIP and 37:21 K:BB in 53.2 innings this season in 12 appearances (10 starts). The southpaw lines up for a start in one game of Friday's doubleheader versus the Padres.

Michael Lorenzen RP | TOR
Reds' Michael Lorenzen: Fans eight in no-decision
Lorenzen allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out eight over 4.2 innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Sunday.
Cincinnati put up five runs in the bottom of the fourth, making it a 5-0 game. Lorenzen gave two runs back the next half inning and manager David Bell pulled Lorenzen at 93 pitches, when he was one out short of qualifying for the win. He probably won't get another start with the Reds playing six games next week and Sonny Gray (back) slated to return Tuesday, but Lorenzen is very much back on track. The right-hander has a 1.80 ERA in his last 25 innings after opening the season with a 16.88 ERA in his first seven appearances.

Austin Gomber SP | TEX
Cardinals' Austin Gomber: Starting Tuesday
Gomber will start Tuesday's game against the Royals, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Gomber will start on normal rest with Dakota Hudson (elbow) still unavailable in the rotation. The southpaw will be making his third start of the season, but he's been unable to last longer than three innings in any of his 12 appearances in 2020. He's coming off his worst outing of the season as he gave up four runs in Thursday's start against the Pirates.

Sonny Gray SP | BOS
Reds' Sonny Gray: Slated to start Tuesday
Gray (back) will start Tuesday's game against the Brewers, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Gray will spend just over the minimum of 10 days on the injured list after recovering from a back strain. Since the right-hander will take the mound Tuesday, he could be available to pitch again on the final day of the regular season as the Reds compete for a postseason spot.

Braxton Garrett RP | CHC
Marlins' Braxton Garrett: Starting Game 2
Garrett will start Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Phillies, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
The young left-hander was recalled earlier in the day to serve as the 29th man for the twin bill, and he'll receive the starting nod in the nightcap. Garrett made his major-league debut last week and earned the win after allowing one run on three hits with six strikeouts and two walks over five innings.

Mike Clevinger RP | PIT
Padres' Mike Clevinger: On track for Wednesday's start
Clevinger (biceps) is in line to rejoin the Padres' rotation for Wednesday's game against the Angels, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.
Clevinger was slated to start Saturday against the Mariners, but he was ultimately scratched ahead of the outing with right biceps soreness. The injury doesn't seem to be a major concern, as Clevinger is on track to throw a bullpen session Monday. If all goes well, he should be able to make a start two days later, but the Padres could monitor his workload more carefully than normal in that outing with the postseason on the horizon.

Sonny Gray SP | BOS
Reds' Sonny Gray: Expected to start against Brewers
Gray (back) threw a side session Saturday and manager David Bell said Gray is expected to start a game during the Reds' upcoming series against the Brewers, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
The team will monitor Gray's recovery from Saturday's throwing session before making any final decisions, but it sounds like Gray will start early next week, with Nightengale suggesting Gray could take the ball Tuesday. If he does indeed start Tuesday, Gray would be available to pitch again on the final day of the regular season. Cincinnati is operating with urgency with the playoffs still within reach.

Braxton Garrett RP | CHC
Marlins' Braxton Garrett: Recalled for twin bill
Garrett was recalled from the alternate training site for Sunday's doubleheader against the Nationals.
The 23-year-old started during the doubleheader last weekend and will rejoin the Marlins a week later for another twin bill. Garrett earned the win and allowed one run on three hits with six strikeouts and two walks over five innings, so he could be tabbed to start Sunday's nightcap, though the Marlins have not given any official indication of who will take the mound.

Jake Woodford RP | TB
Cardinals' Jake Woodford: Picks up win
Woodford (1-0) threw two-thirds of an inning without allowing a baserunner to pick up the win in the Cardinals' 5-4 win over the Pirates on Saturday.
Woodford came on in relief of starter Kwang Hyun Kim and became the pitcher of record when the Cardinals erupted for all five of their runs in the top of the seventh inning. Through 10 appearances this season, Woodford has a 6.16 ERA and 1.21 WHIP.

Kwang Hyun Kim SP | STL
Cardinals' Kwang Hyun Kim: Mediocre in no-decision
Kim allowed four runs on six hits over 5.1 innings Saturday as the Cardinals beat the Pirates 5-4. He walked one, struck out four and did not factor in the decision.
Kim came into Saturday with a microscopic 0.63 ERA through nearly 30 innings pitched but gave up multiple runs for the first time all season. Kim has had an excellent debut campaign for the Cardinals and is scheduled to next take the mound Thursday versus Milwaukee.
