  • Phillies' Vince Velasquez: Yields four runs in no-decision

Velasquez allowed four runs on seven hits with no walks and three strikeouts across four innings during a no-decision against the Marlins on Friday.

He didn't pitch long enough to qualify for a victory, but it didn't matter Friday because the Marlins and Phillies needed 15 innings to settle this affair. Velasquez had limited value down the stretch because he didn't pitch past the fifth frame after Aug. 5, but he did yield under three earned runs in four of his last six starts this year. He ends the season 7-8 with a 4.91 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 130 strikeouts in 117.1 innings.

  • Reds' Anthony DeSclafani: Allows four runs in no-decision

DeSclafani allowed four runs (three earned) on eight hits with one walk and five strikeouts across five innings of relief during a no-decision against the Pirates on Friday.

Michael Lorenzen started, but DeSclafani entered after two scoreless frames. Although he didn't pitch great, DeSclafani was in line for the win after the Reds took the lead in the eighth, but the Pirates came back in the ninth to force the 29-year-old to settle for a no-decision. He ends the year 9-9 with a 3.89 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 167 strikeouts in 166.2 innings.

  • Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL

Braves' Dallas Keuchel: Hit with another loss

Keuchel (8-8) was saddled with the loss after yielding four runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out four over five innings Friday against the Mets.

The Braves handed Keuchel a two-run lead in the top of the first inning, but he would surrender one in the bottom of the first, one in the third and two more in the fourth before exiting. He fired 62 of 98 pitches for strikes on the night. The 31-year-old southpaw owns a 3.75 ERA and 1.37 WHIP with a 91:39 K:BB over 112.2 innings heading into the postseason.

  • Marcus Stroman SP | NYY

Mets' Marcus Stroman: Snags 10th victory

Stroman (10-13) picked up the win after surrendering two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out eight over six innings Friday against the Braves.

Stroman gave up two runs in the first inning, but he managed to settle down and close out his appearance with five scoreless frames on the way to a 4-2 victory. The 28-year-old will finish out the season with a 3.22 ERA and 1.31 WHIP with a 159:58 K:BB over 184.1 innings.

  • Seth Lugo SP | KC

Mets' Seth Lugo: Shut down after save No. 6

Lugo picked up the save Friday night against Atlanta after allowing two hits while striking out two over two scoreless innings. The Mets announced after the game that he won't pitch in the final two games of the regular season, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.

Lugo put up a pair of zeros to close out Friday's ballgame, ensuring a 4-2 victory for his club. The 29-year-old will end his season with a 2.70 ERA, a 0.90 WHIP, and a 104:16 K:BB over 80 frames in 2019.

  • Taijuan Walker SP | LAA

Diamondbacks' Taijuan Walker: Will open Sunday

Walker (shoulder) will open Sunday's game against the Padres and is set to throw one inning, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports.

Walker is set to make his 2019 season debut on the final day of the regular season, as he's finally been cleared to return after undergoing Tommy John surgery in April of 2018. A right shoulder capsule sprain in May slowed his return.

  • Cardinals' Michael Wacha: Dealing with shoulder strain

Wacha was diagnosed with a right shoulder strain and won't be throwing for at least a few more days, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Wacha had the diagnosis confirmed by an MRI on Thursday and while he appears to have avoided a serious injury, he's unlikely to be available for the National League Division Series should the Cardinals qualify. The 28-year-old was pitching well prior to the injury with a 2.89 ERA and 1.37 WHIP in his last nine outings.

  • Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Taking ball Saturday

Wainwright, who was originally scheduled to pitch the regular-season finale against the Cubs on Sunday, will instead start Saturday's game, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Wainwright will still be going on normal four days' rest for his final regular-season turn. Manager Mike Shildt is keeping his options open for a potentially relevant Sunday finale, as the Cardinals are still trying to clinch the National League Central and own just a slim one-game lead over the Brewers entering the weekend. The modification of the rotation leaves both Miles Mikolas -- Saturday's original projected starter -- and ace Jack Flaherty available to Shildt should St. Louis fail to clinch Saturday, the first day they'd be able to do so.

  • Reds' Michael Lorenzen: Rejoins Friday's lineup

Lorenzen (illness) is starting in center field and batting seventh Friday at Pittsburgh.

Lorenzen took some time off to recover from flu-like symptoms last weekend, but he delivered a scoreless frame Thursday and returns to the starting nine a day later. The 27-year-old is 3-for-26 in September and has a .195/.283/.317 slash line with one home run in 46 plate appearances this season.

  • Johnny Cueto SP | LAA

Giants' Johnny Cueto: Listed as Friday's starter

Cueto is listed as Friday's starter against the Dodgers.

The lineup card has not yet been released, but Cueto is listed as San Francisco's starter opposing Walker Buehler. There was a chance Cueto would not start this weekend for rest purposes (general arm soreness), but it appears he will get to make a fourth and final start of the campaign. He has a 2.57 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 11 strikeouts in 14 innings through his first three starts back from Tommy John surgery.
