Zack Wheeler SP | PHI
Mets' Zack Wheeler: Stumbles to no-decision
Wheeler didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 9-5 loss to Atlanta, giving up five runs (four earned) on five hits and four walks over six innings while striking out three.
The right-hander tossed only 60 of 108 pitches for strikes and got tagged for homers by Ozzie Albies and Josh Donaldson in the third inning, and Wheeler hit the showers with the game tied 5-5. He'll carry a 4.46 ERA and 156:42 K:BB through 155.1 innings into his next start Friday in Philadelphia.

Max Fried SP | NYY
Braves' Max Fried: Hit hard by Mets
Fried didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Mets, giving up five runs on seven hits over five innings while striking out five.
A three-run blast by Pete Alonso in the fifth inning effectively spelled the end of Fried's night and put him on the hook for his fifth loss, but Atlanta staged a comeback after his exit. The southpaw will take a 4.03 ERA and 139:41 K:BB through 136.1 innings into his next start Friday, at home against the White Sox.

Zach Eflin SP | BAL
Phillies' Zach Eflin: Posts first win in two months
Eflin (8-11) allowed two runs on six hits with no walks and two strikeouts across six innings to earn a victory against the Marlins on Saturday.
Eflin needed this win as badly as anybody in the league, as before Saturday, he hadn't earned a victory since June 24. Since then, he's had four losses and six no-decisions. After giving up a run in the first, Eflin only yielded two baserunners over the next three frames. He allowed the second run in the fifth. He owns a 4.50 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 103 strikeouts in 128 innings this season. Eflin will pitch next at home Saturday against the Mets.

Chase Anderson RP | TEX
Brewers' Chase Anderson: Blanks Arizona for sixth win
Anderson (6-3) picked up the win in Saturday's 4-0 victory over the Diamondbacks, allowing three hits and two walks over five scoreless innings while striking out five.
The right-hander rebounded in fine fashion from the 10-run shellacking he endured at the hands of the Nats in his last start, firing 60 of 87 pitches for strikes to record his first win since July 17. Anderson will take a 4.34 ERA and 104:40 K:BB through 112 innings into his next outing Friday, on the road against the Cubs.

Zac Gallen SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Zac Gallen: Fans eight in loss
Gallen (2-4) took the loss Saturday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over five innings while striking out eight as the Diamondbacks were blanked 4-0 by the Brewers.
Eric Thames and Trent Grisham hit back-to-back homers off the rookie right-hander in the fourth inning, and with the Arizona offense getting nothing done, Gallen was stuck with his first loss as a Diamondback. He'll carry a 2.56 ERA and 68:30 K:BB through 56.1 innings into his next start Friday, at home against the Dodgers.

Tony Gonsolin RP | KC
Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Pitches well in victory
Gonsolin (2-1) gave up one run on two hits and two walks while striking out two over five innings in a 2-1 victory over the Yankees on Saturday.
Once again, Gonsolin was somewhat limited in his pitch count, and he was removed after 76 pitches and a solid five-inning effort. His only blemish was a fourth-inning solo home run by Aaron Judge. The 25-year-old has a 2.74 ERA, a 0.91 WHIP and a 17:3 K:BB through 23 innings this season. Gonsolin lines up to make his next start Friday against the Diamondbacks on the road.

Jose Quintana SP | COL
Cubs' Jose Quintana: Lasts just four innings Saturday
Quintana (11-8) lasted just four innings and took the loss in Saturday's 7-2 defeat by the Nationals. He struck out three and allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits and three walks.
Quintana was nicked for a first-inning run on an Anthony Rendon sacrifice fly but ran into bigger trouble in the third as the Nationals plated four runs on three singles and two walks. He was removed for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the fourth after throwing 79 pitches. Quintana will carry a 4.05 ERA and 1.29 WHIP into his next start, scheduled for Friday at Wrigley Field against the Brewers.

Robbie Ray SP | SD
Diamondbacks' Robbie Ray: Confirmed as Sunday's starter
Ray (back) will start Sunday against the Brewers, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports.
Ray is set to return when first eligible from the injured list after battling back spasms. He's thrown at least two bullpen sessions since being sidelined, but he will not require a rehab outing. For the season, Ray owns a 3.99 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with 187 strikeouts across 142 innings.

Juan Nicasio SP | TEX
Phillies' Juan Nicasio: Placed on injured list
Nicasio (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday.
Nicasio was officially diagnosed with right rotator cuff tightness after leaving Friday's game against the Marlins. He had pitched well of late, allowing only two earned runs in 6.1 innings of work in August. The Phillies called up Edgar Garcia and Austin Davis to help fill in during Nicasio's absence.

Julio Urias SP | LAD
Dodgers' Julio Urias: Bullpen session set for Sunday
Urias (suspension) will throw a bullpen session Sunday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Urias has been ineligible to play since Aug. 17 while serving a 20-game suspension for violating Major League Baseball's Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy. Because he previously served five games while on administrative leave, Urias can return to the Dodgers on Sept. 2. The Dodgers are looking to stretch the 23-year-old out during his absence in order to have him available as a starting option when the playoffs start in October.
