Zach Davies SP | WAS
Brewers' Zach Davies: Activated ahead of Monday's start
Davies (back) was activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of his start Monday against the Cardinals.
His last start was Aug. 4, so he did not require a rehab assignment. Davies has a 6.23 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 15 strikeouts in 26 innings over five second-half starts.

Jose Urena SP | LAA
Marlins' Jose Urena: Rehab moves to Double-A
Urena (back) will make a rehab start Monday for Double-A Jacksonville, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
He gave up a run in one inning in his first rehab appearance last week for High-A Jupiter. Once again, Urena will only log one inning in this outing, which suggests that he will join the big-league bullpen at some point in September.

Wes Parsons RP | CLE
Rockies' Wes Parsons: Claimed by Rockies
Parsons was claimed off waivers by the Rockies on Monday.
Parsons has spent most of the season with Triple-A Gwinnett, posting a 2.86 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 54:21 K:BB across 56.2 innings with the Stripers. The right-hander has made 17 appearances in the majors, compiling a 3.52 ERA despite his 1.57 WHIP and 12:13 K:BB. Scott Oberg (blood clot) was moved to the 60-day IL to make room on the 40-man roster for Parsons, who will report to Triple-A Albuquerque..

Dustin May SP | MIL
Dodgers' Dustin May: Takes loss in first relief outing
May (1-2) was charged with the loss and the blown save against Atlanta on Sunday, tossing two innings and giving up four runs on three hits and a walk.
May entered in the sixth inning with the Dodgers staked to a two-run lead and quickly got into trouble, loading the bases with one out via a single, walk, and hit batsman. He then served up the first home run of Rafael Ortega's career -- a grand slam that would stand as the final offensive output for either team in the game. The 51-pitch outing was the first for May since being moved to the bullpen following three increasingly effective starts. He has posted a 4.26 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 15:3 K:BB in 19 innings this season.

Kevin Gausman SP | CHC
Reds' Kevin Gausman: Throws immaculate inning
Gausman threw an 'immaculate inning' Sunday against the Cardinals, striking out the side on nine pitches.
Gausman has thrown seven innings over four games with the Reds, all in relief, and has allowed two earned runs while striking out 11 and walking two. In this very brief sample, Gausman seems well suited to relief work.

Mitch Keller SP | PIT
Pirates' Mitch Keller: Roughed up by Cubs
Keller (1-2) took the loss against the Cubs on Sunday, pitching 4.1 innings and giving up six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five.
Six days after hurling his best outing in the majors, Keller was unable to carry the momentum over to Sunday as he gave up six runs for the third time in five career starts. He served up solo homers in both the first and third frames and was chased from the game after allowing a pair of runs while retiring only one batter in the fifth. The prized 23-year-old has had a rough start to his major-league career, posting an 8.86 ERA and 2.02 WHIP through 21.1 innings. He'll face Cincinnati on Friday in his next scheduled start.

Jose Quintana SP | COL
Cubs' Jose Quintana: Blanks Pirates over seven innings
Quintana (11-7) earned the win against Pittsburgh on Sunday, tossing seven scoreless innings and giving up five hits and no walks while striking out seven.
Quintana was at his best against the Pirates, throwing 63 of 92 pitches for strikes while allowing only five baserunners in seven innings. The southpaw has now won seven of his last nine starts and has not suffered a loss since June 22. He has been downright dominant in August, going 3-0 with a 1.38 ERA and 33:1 K:BB over 26 innings. Quintana will head back to Chicago to face the Nationals on Saturday in his next scheduled start.

Joey Lucchesi RP | LAA
Padres' Joey Lucchesi: Captures eighth win
Lucchesi (8-7) allowed two runs on three hits with two walks and four strikeouts across six innings while earning the victory against the Phillies on Sunday.
The left-hander gave up a pair of RBI doubles with Jean Segura, but that was just about it, as he recorded just his second quality start since the All-Star break. This victory was also his first since the break and snapped a three-game losing streak. Lucchesi, who will start again next Sunday at home against the Red Sox, owns a 4.20 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 129 strikeouts over 133 innings this season.

Merrill Kelly SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Merrill Kelly: Picks up ninth win
Kelly (9-12) earned the win against San Francisco on Sunday, hurling 5.2 innings and giving up one run on six hits and two walks while striking out five.
Kelly narrowly missed a quality start but was credited with his second consecutive victory, limiting the Giants to a single run while tossing 100 pitches for the first time since June 2. He was hardly dominant but scattered six hits and notched two of his five strikeouts with opposing runners in scoring position. The 30-year-old had struggled to keep the ball in the park of late, serving up eight homers over his previous four starts, but kept San Francisco from going yard in Sunday's win. Kelly will next head to Milwaukee to take on the Brewers on Saturday.

Carlos Martinez SP | SF
Cardinals' Carlos Martinez: Slams door despite shaky outing
Martinez recorded the save Sunday despite allowing two runs on three hits while striking out two over one inning against the Reds.
Martinez surrendered three straight hits to open the ninth inning, but he managed to settle down by inducing a flyout followed by a pair of punchouts to end the ballgame. Entering the day, the 27-year-old had given up just one run over his last seven outings (six innings), so Sunday's performance was uncharacteristic of the right-hander.
