Zach Eflin SP | BAL
Phillies' Zach Eflin: Early exit in no-decision
Eflin didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Padres, giving up three runs on seven hits and two walks over 3.2 innings while striking out two.
Making his first start since July 27, Eflin managed to last 73 pitches (49 strikes) and kept San Diego off the board for three innings before stumbling in the fourth. The right-hander will remain in the rotation for now with Jake Arrieta (elbow) done for the year, but Eflin's 4.57 ERA and 101:36 K:BB through 122 innings won't make him an appealing fantasy option.

Miles Mikolas RP | WAS
Cardinals' Miles Mikolas: Falls to 7-13
Mikolas (7-13) allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings in a loss to the Reds on Saturday.
Nick Senzel led off the home half of the first inning with a solo shot and Aristides Aquino bookended Mikolas' lackluster outing with a three-run shot in the fifth. An 18-game winner last season, Mikolas now has 13 losses this year, most in the National League. Home runs have been the big difference; he's far from the only one dealing with that issue in 2019. Up next is a home start against the Rockies.

Anthony DeSclafani RP | ARI
Reds' Anthony DeSclafani: Beats Cardinals for eighth win
DeSclafani (8-7) allowed one run on five hits and three walks while striking out four over five innings in a win over the Cardinals on Saturday.
He kept the first-place Cardinals at bay, with the lone blemish being a solo homer allowed to Matt Carpenter in the second inning. DeSclafani induced 15 swinging strikes on 89 pitches, which will boost what is already a career-high swinging-strike rate. The 29-year-old has been inconsistent from start to start on account of his homer issues, but he does a lot well and has appeal in fantasy as a matchups play. He lines up for a road start in Pittsburgh next week.

Pablo Lopez SP | MIN
Marlins' Pablo Lopez: Will need another rehab start
Lopez (shoulder) will require at least one more rehab start, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
The right-hander made his first rehab start Friday since suffering a setback, but manager Don Mattingly said Lopez will require at least one more start before returning to the major-league club. The 23-year-old has been sidelined since June 19 with a right shoulder strain.

Brandon Woodruff SP | MIL
Brewers' Brandon Woodruff: Won't be back until mid-September
The earliest Woodruff (oblique) could return to the big-league rotation is mid-September, according to general manager David Stearns, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
He has progressed to throwing but still hasn't faced live hitters since landing on the shelf almost a month ago. Woodruff solidified his status as an all-format starting pitcher this year, but it sounds like the best we can hope for is a few starts to close out the season.

Tony Gonsolin RP | KC
Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Starting Sunday
Gonsolin will be promoted to start Sunday in Atlanta, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
The Dodgers seem to be moving Dustin May to the bullpen for the stretch run in an effort to manage his workload, so Gonsolin will work as the fifth starter for the time being. His last big-league start was an Aug. 5 gem against the Cardinals, but he was not as sharp in his two other appearances in the majors. It's a tough matchup for Gonsolin, but he has big-time velocity and should get solid run support, so he's not a bad streamer.

Logan Webb SP | SF
Giants' Logan Webb: Promoted ahead of start
Webb was officially promoted from Triple-A Sacramento ahead of Saturday's start against the Diamondbacks.
Joey Rickard was optioned, freeing up a spot for Webb on the 25-man roster. Webb was excellent in his 41.1 innings at Double-A this season, posting a 2.40 FIP and 19.6 K-BB%, and he followed that up with seven strong innings in his Triple-A debut Monday. The Giants have two off days next week, so Webb is not a lock to stick around for the rest of August.

Julio Urias SP | LAD
Dodgers' Julio Urias: Suspended for 20 games
Urias was suspended 20 games for violating Major League Baseball's Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
This stems from an arrest in mid-May on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. It was announced in June that Urias would not face charges in relation to the incident. He has served five of the 20 games already while on administrative leave, making Urias eligible to return Sept. 2. Casey Sadler was recalled to take Urias' spot on the roster.

Tony Gonsolin RP | KC
Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: In play for Sunday's start
Manager Dave Roberts said that Gonsolin could be called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Sunday against the Braves, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Beyond noting that Dustin May -- who had initially been scheduled to start Sunday -- would work in relief, Roberts wouldn't fully commit to his plans for the Los Angeles pitching staff in the series finale in Atlanta. The Dodgers' decision on who will start Sunday may hinge on how much relief help is needed in Saturday's contest, when Hyun-Jin Ryu's turn in the rotation comes up. If limited relief help is needed behind Ryu, the Dodgers could treat the series finale as a bullpen game rather than calling up Gonsolin, who gave up five runs while posting a 13:1 K:BB across 14 innings in the big leagues earlier this season.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Pirates' Joe Musgrove: Punches out nine in no-decision
Musgrove struck out nine while allowing two runs on four hits with no walks across 7.1 innings during a no-decision against the Cubs on Friday.
The 26-year-old left with two runners on base in the seventh with the Pirates clinging to a one-run lead, but Felipe Vazquez allowed more of Musgrove's inherited runners to score, blowing his chance at a victory. While he didn't get the win, this was arguably his best start of the year, as he struck out a season-high nine batters with no free passes. He's punched out more than five with zero walks in just one other outing. Musgrove is 8-11 with a 4.59 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 124 strikeouts in 137.1 innings this season. He will pitch again Wednesday against the Nationals at home.
