Adalberto Mejia SP | MIN
Cardinals' Adalberto Mejia: Scooped up by St. Louis
Mejia was claimed by the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Mejia will be added to the big-league roster after being picked up by the Cardinals. He owns an ugly 7.32 ERA and 1.68 WHIP with a 21:13 K:BB over 19.2 innings and was designated for assignment by the Angels on Friday, though St. Louis is hopeful a change in scenery is just what the lefty needs to get back on track.

Jordan Lyles RP | KC
Brewers' Jordan Lyles: Expected to start Wednesday
Manager Craig Counsell said that he expects Lyles to start Wednesday's game in Oakland, Bryan Dee of ESPN Milwaukee reports.
Lyles was lined up to start for the Pirates on his normal four days' rest Monday before those plans were scrapped when he was dealt to the Brewers. Milwaukee will waste little time plugging Lyles into its rotation, which has been hit hard by injuries over the past couple of weeks. After submitting a 3.71 ERA and 1.22 WHIP through his first 13 starts with the Pirates, Lyles has been shelled in three of his past four turns, yielding 23 runs (20 earned) on 28 hits -- including eight home runs -- and seven walks over 12 innings.

Sixto Sanchez SP | MIA
Marlins' Sixto Sanchez: Dominating at Double-A
Sanchez gave up two hits and a walk over six scoreless innings for Double-A Jacksonville on Monday. He struck out five.
The right-hander has won four straight starts, posting a 1.03 ERA, 0.61 WHIP and 25:3 K:BB through 26.1 innings over that stretch. In fact, Sanchez has allowed more than three runs in a start only once since his mid-May promotion to the Southern League, compiling a 2.96 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 83:15 K:BB over 14 outings and 82 innings. The Marlins' No. 5 fantasy prospect still needs to prove he can handle a regular turn in the rotation, but he's putting himself in position for a 2020 big-league debut.

Huascar Ynoa SP | LAA
Braves' Huascar Ynoa: Fans 11 for Gwinnett
Ynoa tossed 6.2 innings for Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out 11.
The 11 whiffs tied his career high, and the 21-year-old took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before fading. Ynoa is a curious case -- he started the season at High-A and has zoomed through the Atlanta system to throw three innings in the big-league bullpen, but he hasn't dominated at any level. Whatever the club's coaches and evaluators have been seeing to warrant that treatment showed up on the mound Monday, however. Ynoa might need a lot more seasoning at Triple-A, but he could have a future in the majors.

Adrian Houser SP | SF
Brewers' Adrian Houser: Draws start Tuesday
The Brewers confirmed that Houser would start Tuesday's series opener against the Athletics, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Houser has previously made six starts for Milwaukee this season, posting a 7.83 ERA and allowing a .433 wOBA across 23 innings. Those ratios don't inspire much confidence in his abilities as he steps back into the rotation, but the Brewers are short on appealing alternatives with Brandon Woodruff (oblique), Jhoulys Chacin (lat) and Jimmy Nelson (elbow) all stuck on the injured list. Considering Houser hasn't started in two weeks and has made three relief appearances of no more than two innings since that time, he'll likely face some sort of restriction with his pitch count as he re-enters the rotation.

Chris Paddack RP | TEX
Padres' Chris Paddack: Bags seventh win
Paddack (7-5) picked up the win against the Orioles on Monday, giving up one earned run on three hits over 5.1 innings, striking out five and walking two as the Padres cruised to an 8-1 victory.
The big right-hander continues to excel in his rookie campaign, as his latest solid effort gives him a 2.78 ERA, a sparkling 0.90 WHIP and a 104:23 K:BB through 100.1 innings. The Padres seem intent on monitoring his workload, so it remains to be seen how many big-league innings they let him throw this season, but for now he looks primed to keep providing excellent numbers.

Austin Gomber SP | TEX
Cardinals' Austin Gomber: Scheduled to begin throwing program
Gomber (biceps/shoulder), who's been sidelined since mid-May, is slated to resume his throwing program next week, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Gomber had to pause his throwing program back in the latter portion of June after experiencing some shoulder fatigue. Even if the upcoming restart goes off without a hitch, Gomber is still looking at a multi-appearance rehab assignment due to his extended layoff. If the left-hander has any chance of latching onto the big-league roster this season, it will almost certainly be when rosters expand in September and he's sufficiently built his stamina and velocity back up.

Patrick Corbin SP | TOR
Nationals' Patrick Corbin: Fans eight in ninth win
Corbin (9-5) picked up the win in Monday's 6-3 victory over Atlanta, giving up two runs on five hits and a walk over six innings while striking out eight.
The lefty remains locked in -- over his last eight trips to the mound, Corbin has seven quality starts and a 4-0 record with a 1.76 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 65:13 K:BB through 51 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing Sunday in Arizona.
-
Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL
Braves' Dallas Keuchel: Downed by Nats
Keuchel (3-4) took the loss Monday, giving up four runs on six hits and four walks over 5.1 innings while striking out four as Atlanta fell 6-3 to the Nationals.
The southpaw didn't have his best command, throwing only 61 of 108 pitches for strikes before being lifted. Keuchel will carry a 3.86 ERA and 38:18 K:BB through 49 innings into his next start Saturday, at home against the Reds.

Julio Urias SP | LAD
Dodgers' Julio Urias: Named Tuesday's starter
Urias will start Tuesday's game against the Rockies, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Urias was set to either start or handle the bulk of the innings for the second game of the series, and following Monday's game, manager Dave Roberts confirmed that the lefty would start. He'll look to build on an impressive 2019 campaign, as he's posted a 2.34 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with a 59:19 K:BB over 57.2 innings.
