Sale (ribs) played catch Tuesday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Sale appears to be throwing again for the first time since he was diagnosed with a fractured left ribcage nearly a month ago. The left-hander was moved to the 60-day injured list earlier this month, making him ineligible to return until the third full week of August.

Snell (shoulder) struck out seven and allowed one earned run on three hits and zero walks over three innings in a rehab start Tuesday in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

Because the Florida and Arizona Complex Leagues are the only minor-league affiliates in session during the All-Star break, Snell moved down to rookie ball for his second rehab outing after he previously made a two-inning start with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga last Thursday. The veteran southpaw tacked on an inning to his workload Tuesday and settled into a groove toward the end of his start, retiring nine of the final 10 batters he faced. Snell will likely move up to a higher-level affiliate for his third rehab outing, and he may require just one more start in the minors after that before making his return from the 60-day injured list.

Milbrandt (arm) has posted a 3.42 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 58:29 K:BB over 50 innings in 13 starts with High-A Beloit since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list April 17.

Milbrandt was on the shelf for the first two weeks of the season after experiencing fluid buildup in his arm coming out of spring training, but he's managed to stay healthy since being activated. The 21-year-old righty finished the first half of the season on a high note, striking out 11 batters over 5.2 innings in his most recent start Saturday.

Triple-A Memphis placed Roby on the 7-day injured list Monday due to an unspecified injury.

Roby has been lights out lately at Memphis, allowing just two earned runs with a 21:5 K:BB over 21 innings covering his last four starts. The Cardinals haven't provided word on the nature of his latest health concern, but Roby's injury history is lengthy, and his issues have often involved his pitching shoulder. Added to the Cardinals' 40-man roster over the offseason, Roby has posted a 3.10 ERA and 87:19 K:BB across 78.1 frames between Double-A Springfield and Memphis in 2025.

While Boyd has pitched more MLB innings already in 2025 than he did the last two seasons combined, he appears to be in "good shape" heading into the second half, Zack Meisel and Patrick Mooney of The Athletic report.

Boyd had an excellent first half of the season for his new organization, registering a 2.34 ERA and 102 strikeouts across 111.2 innings, which earned him an All-Star selection. The veteran lefty has dealt with a variety of injuries the past few years, and he only managed to log 110.2 major-league innings in 2023 and 2024 combined. While Boyd won't pitch in the All-Star Game to preserve his arm for the second half, the club feels good about how he's responded to the increased workload. "Everything we're looking at with Matt is in really good shape," Chicago manager Craig Counsell said. "There's no signs right now of him slowing down. He's getting better." Boyd may have some minor limitations after the break, but he appears to be in a good position to keep helping fantasy managers.

Meyer (undisclosed) was activated from the 7-day injured list Saturday.

Meyer was placed on the 7-day injured list at the end of June due to an undisclosed injury. He made an appearance for High-A Beloit on Saturday, firing two scoreless frames and striking out two against the High-A Dayton Dragons.

Spiers (shoulder) struck out five and gave up one hit and four walks over 3.2 scoreless innings in his rehab start for Triple-A Louisville on Sunday.

Though Spiers kept Columbus off the board during his start, he spotted just 39 of his 72 pitches for strikes in the outing, which was the third of his rehab assignment. On the shelf since April 20 due to a right shoulder impingement, Spiers appears to be close to fully stretched out at this point, but the Reds don't seem to have an opening for him in the big-league rotation. Spiers could be activated from the 60-day injured list coming out of the All-Star break to serve as a long-relief option for the big club, or the Reds could option him to Triple-A if they want to keep him in a starting role.

Marlins manager Clayton McCullough is optimistic that Cabrera (elbow) will be part of the team's rotation coming out of the All-Star break, Mike Cugno of CBS Sports reports.

The right-hander was pulled from his most recent start Friday after four innings and 76 pitches due to elbow discomfort, but an MRI didn't reveal any structural damage. Cabrera heads into the break with a 3.61 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 86:30 K:BB through 82.1 innings.

Peralta (11-4) picked up the win Sunday against Washington, allowing one run on three hits and one walk over 6.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Peralta tallied a third consecutive quality start and pitched into the seventh inning for the first time since his second start of the season. The 29-year-old has come away with a win in six straight appearances, and he owns a 2.60 ERA and a 40:6 K:BB across 34.2 innings during that stretch. He's tied with Max Fried for the league lead in wins. Peralta is slated to pitch against the Dodgers next weekend.

Irvin (7-5) took the loss Sunday against Milwaukee, allowing three unearned runs on four hits and one walk across five innings. He struck out five.

Irvin got no run support in the loss, and all three runs the Brewers scored while he was on the mound came after a two-out error by Brady House. Sunday's outing snapped a streak of seven consecutive starts yielding a home run. Irvin had also walked at least three batters in each of his last three starts. The 28-year-old owns a 4.58 ERA and an 83:38 K:BB across 116 innings heading into the All-Star break.
