Michael Wacha SP | KC
Cardinals' Michael Wacha: Holds Padres to one run in no-decision
Wacha allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out five over six innings in a no-decision against the Padres on Saturday.
The right-hander took advantage of a strong matchup, but Tyson Ross was just as good on the other side and that kept Wacha out of the win column. Wacha has not allowed more than three earned runs in a start since his first outing of the year, giving up just one homer over 39 innings spanning his last seven starts. He gets the Phillies at home next week.

Kyle Freeland SP | COL
Rockies' Kyle Freeland: Shuts down Brewers in Coors
Freeland (3-4) allowed four hits and four walks over 6.1 scoreless innings in a win over Milwaukee on Saturday. He struck out six.
A day after the Brewers scored 11 in a comeback win, they were shut out in Colorado by Freeland and company. Freeland has now rattled off four straight quality starts since his five-run hiccup against Pittsburgh, lowering his ERA and WHIP to 3.42 and 1.18, respectively. His strikeouts are way up from last year and the groundballs help in a major way at home. Freeland lines up for a favorable road matchup against San Francisco his next time out.

Mike Soroka SP | ARI
Braves' Mike Soroka: Fans seven in Saturday's no-decision
Soroka didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's win over the Marlins, allowing five runs (one earned) on eight hits and a walk over 4.2 innings while striking out a career-high seven.
Despite running into some trouble in the fifth inning, the rookie looked to be in line for his second big-league win when he induced a weak grounder from Brian Anderson with two outs and the bases loaded, but Jose Bautista bobbled the ball and Soroka then served up a bases-clearing double to Derek Dietrich to end his night. The 20-year-old sports a 3.68 ERA and 15:4 K:BB through his first 14.2 innings, but he'll face a tougher test in his next outing Thursday at home against the Cubs.

Alec Asher SP | MIL
Brewers' Alec Asher: Shuttled back to minors
Asher was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Saturday.
The Brewers will swap Asher out with a fresh bullpen arm (Jorge Lopez) after the 26-year-old tossed a pair of scoreless relief innings Saturday against the Rockies. He'll continue to serve as organizational pitching depth for the Brewers in the minors.

Freddy Peralta SP | TB
Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Set for MLB debut Sunday
Peralta will be recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Sunday to start against the Rockies.
Peralta, who was scratched from his scheduled start with the SkySox on Saturday, will join the big club in order to make a spot start in place of Chase Anderson (illness), who was sent to the disabled list in a corresponding move. The 21-year-old prospect has impressed through seven minor-league starts this season, compiling a 5-1 record to go with his 3.63 ERA and 46:17 K:BB. Peralta, who will be making his major-league debut Sunday, will likely head back to the minors following his spot start.

Chase Anderson RP | TEX
Brewers' Chase Anderson: Lands on DL
Anderson (illness) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Saturday.
Anderson was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday due to an illness, and while he was originally hoping to take his turn Sunday, it turns out the ailment is serious enough to warrant a stay on the DL. It's unclear how long the illness will keep Anderson sidelined, but he'll be eligible to return Monday, May 21 should he be ready. In the meantime, the Brewers are expected to summon prospect Freddy Peralta to start Sunday's series finale against the Rockies.

Carlos Martinez SP | SF
Cardinals' Carlos Martinez: No activity yet
Martinez (lat), who went on the disabled list Thursday, is not yet participating in any type of physical activity, Jay Paris of MLB.com reports.
The Cardinals ace surprisingly hit the DL two days after working five innings in a loss to the Twins. Given Martinez's importance to the team, it's likely that an especially cautious route is taken with the lat injury, which presumably impacts his entire throwing motion, delivery and velocity.

Stephen Strasburg SP | WAS
Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Fans nine in Saturday's win
Strasburg (5-3) earned the win Saturday against the Diamondbacks, allowing one run on five hits and a walk while striking out nine batters across 6.2 innings.
Strasburg worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the first inning Saturday before cruising through the next 5.2 innings, with an RBI double from A.J. Pollock in the third inning serving as the only blemish on his otherwise impressive line. The 29-year-old has now gone at least six innings in all nine of his starts this season and owns an impressive 3.28 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 68:13 K:BB through 60.1 innings. He'll look to keep things rolling in his next outing, which will come at home against the Dodgers.

Freddy Peralta SP | TB
Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Option to start Sunday
Peralta is an option to make a spot start against the Rockies on Sunday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Chase Anderson is questionable to take the mound Sunday due to an illness, and Peralta, who is already on the Brewers' 40-man roster, is one of the top options to get the ball in Anderson's place should he be unable to pitch. The top prospect was scratched from his scheduled start for Triple-A Colorado Springs on Saturday, suggesting he could be summoned to the majors to make a spot start if necessary. The Brewers could also turn to Alec Asher. Peralta has been impressive through seven starts for the SkySox so far this season, compiling a 3.63 ERA to go with his league-best five wins and 46 strikeouts.

Chase Anderson RP | TEX
Brewers' Chase Anderson: DL stint in play
General manager David Stearns said Anderson (illness) could be placed on the 10-day disabled list if he's unable to pitch Sunday, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. "If Chase is not going to be able to pitch tomorrow, then his illness is probably going to last some time," Stearns said.
Anderson was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday due to an illness. While he's hoping he'll be able to pitch Sunday, it sounds like a trip to the DL is likely if the illness ultimately prevents him from taking the mound. If Anderson is unable to pitch, Alec Asher or Freddy Peralta could step in to start Sunday.
