Dodgers' Kenta Maeda: Will rejoin rotation this week
Maeda will rejoin the starting rotation during the Dodgers' upcoming weekend series against the Diamondbacks from April 13 to April 15, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Maeda was used in relief this weekend, tossing a scoreless inning Saturday against the Giants. Manager Dave Roberts stated that Maeda would start a game during the series against the Diamondbacks, but he has yet to decide which game of the series that will be.

Hyun-Jin Ryu SP | TOR
Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Next start shifted to Tuesday
Ryu will now make his next start on Tuesday against the Athletics, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Ryu was originally slated to start Tuesday's game, with Alex Wood (illness) drawing the Wednesday start. Those plans changed Sunday when Wood was unable to throw his scheduled bullpen session due to his bout with food poisoning. Ryu's start will be moved up a day with Wood now taking the mound Wednesday.

Alex Wood RP | ATH
Dodgers' Alex Wood: Start pushed to Wednesday
Wood (illness) will make his next start Wednesday against the Athletics, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Wood was originally scheduled to take the mound Tuesday, but after not feeling well enough to throw his bullpen session Sunday, the team has decided to simply bump him back another day. Hyun-Jin Ryu will shift up a day and toe the rubber Tuesday against the Athletics.

Tyler Cloyd SP | MIA
Marlins' Tyler Cloyd: Joins big-league club
Cloyd had his contract selected by the Marlins on Sunday, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.
Cloyd will make his way to the majors after the team decided to designate Jacob Turner for assignment following his brutal start to the season. Cloyd hasn't had a regular role in the majors since 2013 and more recently posted a 5.67 ERA over 60.1 innings at Triple-A Tacoma within the Mariners' organization last season. He'll likely work out of a low-leverage bullpen role with the Marlins.

Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Goes only four innings
Hill allowed three earned runs on five hits while walking two and striking out six across four innings Saturday against the Giants.
Hill avoided disaster but didn't have a strong outing Saturday. He has been pulled around the 80-pitch mark in both of his starts this season, which limits his upside if the trend were to persist. However, he was handled similarly at the beginning of last season before ultimately being allowed to work deeper into games, so there's no need to panic yet.

Alex Wood RP | ATH
Dodgers' Alex Wood: Out sick Saturday
Wood was not in uniform Saturday due to an illness, Pedro Moura of The Athletic Los Angeles reports.
The Dodgers wound up using 24 players on the active roster in the extra-inning affair, but the illness makes it clear as to why Wood was the lone player to sit out. Wood isn't scheduled to pitch next until Tuesday against the Athletics, so it's unlikely that this ailment will put that start in jeopardy barring any extraneous circumstances.

Vince Velasquez RP | KC
Phillies' Vince Velasquez: Hurls quality start Saturday
Velasquez allowed one earned run on four hits while walking one and striking out six across six innings Saturday against the Marlins.
After being being buoyed to a 5-1 lead after the first inning, Velasquez was able to pound the strike zone Saturday. His line from this game has to be discounted a bit given the weak Marlins lineup and the excellent run support he received, but it provides another glimpse into the upside that he flashed in 2016. He remains a high-risk option, but this start should solidify his spot in the rotation, giving him time to prove himself as a potential fantasy asset.

Jake Thompson SP | PHI
Phillies' Jake Thompson: Sent to minors
Thompson was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
The 24-year-old's season got off to a rough start, as he allowed four runs on six hits in his season debut on March 31. He collected the save Saturday against the Marlins, though, logging three innings of shutout ball to finish out the Phillies' 20-1 shellacking of the Marlins. Thompson isn't available to pitch for a few days now, however, making him an obvious candidate to demote to make room for Sunday starter Jake Arrieta on the active roster. Thompson should work as a starter in the minors, but he might return to the Phillies bullpen soon if help is needed once again.

Zach Davies SP | WAS
Brewers' Zach Davies: Pitches well in no-decision Saturday
Davies (0-1) struck out eight and allowed one run on four hits and three walks over six innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Saturday.
The right-hander's only real mistake resulted in a Kris Bryant solo shot in the sixth inning, and Davies was in line for the win before the Brewers' bullpen -- without Corey Knebel (hamstring) -- fell apart in the ninth. Davies now has an impressive 14:3 K:BB through his first 13.2 innings heading into Friday's road start against the Mets.

Hyun-Jin Ryu SP | TOR
Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Will start Wednesday
Ryu will make his next start Wednesday at Oakland, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Ryu's next scheduled start was uncertain with the Dodgers' plethora of days off this month, including Friday's postponement. The 31-year-old's only start of the season came April 2, so he should be well-rested for Wednesday's matchup with the A's.
