Myers didn't factor into the decision in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Giants. He allowed two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out two across four innings.

Thursday was Myers' 2025 debut after he began the season on the 15-day injured list due to a left oblique strain. The 26-year-old looked rusty at times with just two punchouts and eight baserunners in four innings of work, but he worked up to 82 pitches (47 strikes) should be clear of any workload restrictions before long. Myers is lined up to take on the White Sox on the road next week.

Roupp didn't factor into the decision of Thursday's 6-5 win over the Brewers. He allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out two over 3.2 innings.

Roupp was tagged for a run in three of the four innings he pitched, including three in the fourth frame. He was lifted after tossing 78 pitches (44 strikes) with only five whiffs, and his two punchouts were his lowest across five starts this season. Roupp has given up four earned runs in two of his last three outings, and he has a 4.91 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 31:11 K:BB across 25.2 innings for the campaign. Roupp's next start is tentatively slated for next week on the road against the Padres.

Gonsolin (back) is likely to return from the 15-day injured list next week to make his 2025 debut with the Dodgers, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The Dodgers went with a bullpen game Wednesday the last time the team required a fifth starter, so Gonsolin should be in line to fill that spot in the rotation the next time it comes up Tuesday against the Marlins. Gonsolin didn't pitch for the Dodgers and was limited to just three minor-league rehab starts in 2024 while he completed his recovery from Tommy John surgery, and he opened this season on the IL after tweaking his back in spring training while lifting weights. The right-hander was cleared to begin pitching in minor-league games April 3 and made the fourth start of his rehab assignment Wednesday, covering five innings for Triple-A Oklahoma City and allowing two earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three. He built up to 79 pitches (49 strikes) in that outing, so Gonsolin should be ready to handle a traditional starter's workload if the Dodgers activate him during the upcoming week.

Cavalli (elbow) threw five shutout innings while allowing two hits and one walk with four strikeouts across five innings with Double-A Harrisburg on Thursday, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

Cavalli has had a long recovery from Tommy John surgery, which included some time dealing with a dead arm last summer, but he has looked good through two rehab outings. He ramped up to 69 pitches Thursday, 43 of which went for strikes. Cavalli will likely remain on the injured list until mid-May but will continue to build up in the minors.

Burrows was promoted from Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Burrows was one of the final pitchers in contention for a roster spot out of spring training but missed out to begin the regular season. With Tim Mayza (shoulder) out for the long term, Burrows will likely start with a depth bullpen role. However, he has served as a starter with Triple-A Indianapolis and could get spot starts on occasion.

Marquez (0-4) took the loss Thursday in the first game of a doubleheader with the Royals, allowing six runs on eight hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out three.

It was another tough day for Marquez, who's now allowed 18 earned runs over just 9.1 innings in his last three outings. The 30-year-old right-hander sports an ugly 9.30 ERA with a 2.02 WHIP and 14:11 K:BB through his first five starts (20.1 innings) this season. Marquez will look to right the ship in his next outing, currently lined up for next week at home against Atlanta.

Cavalli (elbow) will make his next rehab start Thursday with Double-A Harrisburg, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

Cavalli will get a tougher test for his second outing in the minors after he reported to Single-A Fredericksburg for the beginning of his rehab assignment and struck out three batters over four scoreless innings during his lone outing with the affiliate last Saturday. The right-hander was out for most of the previous two seasons while recovering from Tommy John surgery and also missed time last summer while going through a "dead arm" phase, so the Nationals will likely keep him on his rehab assignment for the entire 30-day window. Washington doesn't appear to have a rotation spot available for Cavalli at the big-league level, so the 26-year-old will likely be optioned to Triple-A Rochester once he's activated from the 15-day injured list.

The Brewers reinstated Myers (oblique) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Thursday against the Giants in San Francisco.

Myers will make his 2025 debut with Milwaukee after a he suffered a left oblique strain late in spring training that resulted in him beginning the season on the shelf. The right-hander made three rehab starts with Triple-A Nashville and covered five innings and tossed 76 pitches in his most recent outing this past Friday, so he's unlikely to be operating with many restrictions in San Francisco. Milwaukee optioned lefty reliever Bryan Hudson to Triple-A to make room on the 26-man active roster for Myers.

Elder came away with a no-decision in Wednesday win over the Cardinals, allowing one run on five hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out two.

While the right-hander wasn't dominant -- Elder managed just five swinging strikes among his 99 pitches (63 total strikes) -- he did deliver his first quality start of the season. He was actually on the hook for the loss however, until Atlanta's offense woke up in the seventh inning. Elder appears to have little competition for the fifth starter role at the moment, as AJ Smith-Shawver lasted only 3.2 innings in his most recent start at Triple-A. Elder will take a 5.57 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 12:8 K:BB through 21 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road early next week at Coors Field.

Williams didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Orioles, allowing one run on six hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out five.

The 32-year-old righty has yet to record an out in the sixth inning in any of his five starts, but Williams was effective Wednesday until getting the hook after 99 pitches (61 strikes). It's his second straight outing in which he allowed just one run, but on the season Williams is still dragging around a 5.11 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 21:7 K:BB through 24.2 innings. He'll look to continue his turnaround in his next start, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Mets.
