Montero surrendered five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out three batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against St. Louis on Monday.

Montero worked in a bulk-relief role for the second straight game, though he took on a starter's workload with 5.2 frames and 98 pitches. The right-hander entered with one out in the first inning after Sean Guenther had allowed allowed a run on three hits, and though Montero got out of that frame without yielding further damage, he gave up four runs across the fourth and fifth innings and was charged with another after he departed in the seventh. It remains to be seen if Montero will continue entering behind an opener, but he should keep getting the ball on a starter's schedule even after Casey Mize (hamstring) returns from the injured list, as Reese Olson (finger) landed on the IL on Monday.

Gray (5-1) earned the win over Detroit on Monday, striking out 10 batters while allowing three hits and one walk over six scoreless innings.

Gray was dominant in the victory, racking up 13 whiffs and notching a season high in strikeouts. It was the third time this season that the right-hander has recorded a scoreless quality start, though Gray has also had some clunkers, surrendering four-plus earned runs three times -- including in his previous start, when he yielded seven runs over 3.2 frames against Philadelphia. Collectively, Gray has pitched to a 4.02 ERA and 1.13 WHIP with a 61:13 K:BB over 56 innings, making him an attractive option for fantasy purposes despite the hiccups along the way. He's lined up to face the Diamondbacks the next time he takes the mound.

Kremer did not factor in the decision during Monday's loss to the Brewers. He allowed four runs on nine hits and two walks over 5.1 innings while striking out six.

Kremer coughed up three runs in the second inning, including Brice Turang's two-run single. William Contreras later added an RBI double in the fifth. Kremer has been tagged with eight runs over his last 11 innings after delivering back-to-back quality starts in his previous two outings. The recent struggles have bumped his season ERA up to 5.50 with a 40:15 K:BB through 55.2 innings. Kremer is lined up to start in Boston this weekend.

Morales was promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

Morales got off to a strong start to the 2025 season, cruising to a 2.98 ERA while striking out 53 over 42.1 innings of work. His hard work is being recognized by the club, moving him one step closer to making his big-league debut.

Priester did not factor in the decision during Monday's win over Baltimore. He allowed three runs on four hits and a walk over 5.1 innings while striking out two.

Priester entered the game in the second inning after Rob Zastryzny delivered a scoreless first. Priester gave up a solo homer to Ramon Laureano in the second inning and was charged with two runs when Nick Mears coughed up a three-run shot to Cedric Mullins in the seventh. Priester set a season high with 5.1 innings pitched while making his second appearance as a bulk reliever. He owns a lackluster 4.66 ERA with a 25:22 K:BB through 38.2 frames. Priester's next appearance could be this weekend against the Pirates, his former team.

McDermott will be deployed as the primary pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Brewers, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

McDermott is in line for his second big-league outing of the season after getting touched up for four runs over three innings May 14 against the Twins. The 26-year-old will be called upon after Keegan Akin picks up the first three outs or so.

Martin (2-5) yielded two runs on four hits and a walk over 7.1 innings Monday, striking out three and taking a loss against Seattle.

Martin set a career high with 6.2 innings pitched in his last outing before setting a new career best with 7.1 frames Monday. He gave up one run through seven innings before Cam Booser gave up a grand slam to Julio Rodriguez after inheriting a runner from Martin. Over his last two starts, Martin has given up three runs, dropping his season ERA from 4.01 to 3.49 alongside a 36:13 K:BB through 56.2 innings. He's in line for a home start against Texas this weekend.

Dobbins did not factor into the decision in Monday's 3-1 victory over the Mets, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out two.

The rookie right-hander fired just 66 pitches as he was lifted with two runners on in the fifth inning so lefty reliever Justin Wilson could face Francisco Lindor. The lone blemish on Dobbins' line came earlier in the third via a Tyrone Taylor RBI single. Dobbins looks like he's going to stick in the Boston rotation given that he's pitched to a respectable 3.62 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 25:5 K:BB across 32.1 frames. He currently lines up to make his next start against the Orioles at home this weekend.

Castillo (4-3) yielded three hits over seven shutout frames while striking out five batters and picking up a win against the White Sox on Monday

Castillo was dominant in picking up his first win since April 26. He allowed just one runner to reach scoring position and retired the final 14 batters he faced. Castillo threw 64 of 94 pitches for strikes and did not issue a free pass after walking at least two batters in each of his first nine appearances. He's given up two or fewer runs in eight of his 10 starts this season but has completed at least seven innings just twice. He'll carry a 3.20 ERA into his next matchup, which is projected to be in Houston this weekend.

Senga (4-3) took the loss in Monday's game at Boston. He conceded three runs on five hits and three walks over six innings with five strikeouts.

With this 100-pitch effort, Senga collected his fourth quality start of the season. The New York right-hander yielded a season-worst three runs in this start, raising his ERA from 1.02 to 1.43. Through 50.1 innings, Senga has pitched to a fantastic 2.85 FIP, 1.19 WHIP and 47:22 K:BB. The 32-year-old is currently scheduled to make his next start against the vaunted Dodgers at home this weekend.
