Webb (7-7) earned the win over Texas on Monday, allowing five hits and issuing one walk while striking out eight batters over six scoreless innings.

Webb was dominant, racking up 16 whiffs and holding the Rangers to zero extra-base hits. The right-hander got through the sixth inning for the 10th time over his past 11 starts and posted his third scoreless outing during that span. Webb scuffled a bit over his first four starts in July with a 7.54 ERA and 1.37 WHIP, but he's since rebounded with consecutive wins, during which he's allowed two runs while registering a 12:1 K:BB across 12 frames. The veteran hurler is lined up to make his next start at home in an attractive matchup versus the Tigers.

Sproat (3-7) took the loss Monday against the Pirates, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks in three-plus innings. He struck out four.

Manager Pat Murphy abruptly pulled the plug on Sproat on Monday, pulling the hurler in the middle of an at-bat following a pair of wild pitches. Sproat has really struggled to provide the Brewers with length during his debut season with the club, working fewer than five innings in 13 of his 21 outings. Sproat, who has a 5.27 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 100:48 K:BB over 95.2 innings, is tentatively slated to face the Twins this weekend, but his next steps aren't entirely determined since Milwaukee is adding Kyle Harrison (forearm) and trade acquisition Dustin May to its rotation this week, per Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Gusto is slated to start Tuesday's game in Atlanta, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Miami didn't add or subtract any members to its rotation leading up to Monday's trade deadline, so Gusto looks like he'll remain in place as the club's fifth starter for the time being. While starting in both of his last two appearances, the 27-year-old righty gave up seven earned runs on 11 hits and three walks while striking out seven batters across 8.1 innings.

Alvarez took a no-decision Monday against the Phillies, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks in 6.1 innings. He struck out five.

Alvarez was cruising along Monday, spinning six shutout frames initially, but a Derek Hill go-ahead grand slam off reliever Tom Cosgrove in the seventh inning took Alvarez out of position for the victory. It was still arguably the southpaw's best outing of the season, as Monday marked his first quality start so far. Alvarez should maintain a rotation spot until Connelly Early (elbow) is ready to make his Nationals debut, posting a 3.94 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 63:31 K:BB over 64 innings.

Nola took a no-decision Monday against the Nationals, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out five.

It looked like a rough evening was in store initially for Nola, who surrendered each of his three runs in the first two innings, but he later found his rhythm for a quality start. The 33-year-old has still very sparingly impressed throughout the course of the campaign, as the right-hander has given up at least three runs in 15 of his 23 starts. Nola is set to bring a 5.55 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 121:41 K:BB over 120 innings into a favorable home matchup against Toronto.

The Diamondbacks transferred Gallen (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

The transaction opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for outfielder Lars Nootbaar, whom the Diamondbacks acquired from the Cardinals on Monday. The move also ensures that Gallen won't be available for the Diamondbacks until Sept. 7 while he recovers from right elbow inflammation. Following a recent meeting with arm specialist Dr. Neal ElAttrache, Gallen was cleared to start up a throwing program, and he's progressed to playing catch out to 120 feet as of Monday, per MLB.com. Gallen is set to undergo a follow-up MRI on Wednesday, and if the imaging reveals shows additional healing, the right-hander could be cleared to start throwing off a mound.

The Dodgers optioned Sheehan to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

After Sheehan was shelled for five earned runs in 2.2 innings during Sunday's 8-4 loss to the Red Sox, manager Dave Roberts acknowledged the right-hander's recent struggles, though he said that he didn't indicate that the Dodgers had any immediate plans to alter their rotation, per Katie Woo of The Athletic. The Dodgers ended up changing their tune a day later, as Sheehan will head to the minors to clear room on the 26-man active roster for catcher Hunter Feduccia, who was acquired shortly before Monday's trade deadline. With Los Angeles also adding Tarik Skubal and Kris Bubic (shoulder/elbow) ahead of the deadline and with Blake Snell (elbow) and Tyler Glasnow (back) nearing returns from the injured list, Sheehan could be bound for the bullpen the next time he receives a call-up. The 26-year-old righty has turned in a 4-8 record, 5.29 ERA and 1.29 WHIP over 95.1 innings in 20 starts with the Dodgers this season.

Atlanta optioned Ritchie to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Ritchie is being sent down one day after making a spot start against the Nationals, during which he gave up a pair of runs over four innings. The young right-hander has logged a 4.50 ERA and 53:36 K:BB over 58 innings covering eight starts and six relief outings during his time with the big club this season.

The Angels acquired Robinson from the Pirates on Monday in exchange for right-hander Kirby Yates.

Robinson will be on the move for the second time this season, after the Pirates previously acquired him from the Athletics in May. The 23-year-old righty has cobbled together a 4.55 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 78:34 K:BB in 83 innings across stops at the Single-A, High-A and Double-A levels this season. He'll begin his time in the Angels organization at Double-A Rocket City.

The Dodgers acquired Kmatz and catcher Hunter Feduccia from the Rays on Monday in exchange for Jack Suwinksi and international bonus pool space.

A 23-year-old righty reliever, Kmatz had a 2.89 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 74:10 K:BB in 53 innings at Double-A Montgomery this season. Kmatz will likely report to the Dodgers' Double-A affiliate in Tulsa.
