Berrios (16-10) took the loss Friday against Tampa Bay, allowing one run on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.

Berrios was excellent Friday, blanking the Rays through five innings before ultimately surrendering a lone run on a Jonathan Aranda solo shot in the sixth. However, that one swing proved enough to stick Berrios with the loss in an eventual 1-0 defeat. The loss snaps a seven-game winning streak for the right-hander, though he's now held opponents to two runs or fewer in each of his last eight outings, posting a 1.51 ERA in that span. Berrios will carry a 3.38 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 149:51 K:BB into his final start of the year, likely to come at home next week against the Red Sox.

Burnes (15-8) yielded three hits and three walks over seven scoreless innings Friday, striking out eight and earning a win over Detroit.

Burnes allowed only two runners to reach scoring position in his dominant outing. He fired 60 of 91 pitches for strikes, but he generated only 11 whiffs. Burnes has been a nightmare for the Tigers recently; in back-to-back starts against them, he's tossed 14 scoreless frames with 15 punchouts while earning a win in both. He's delivered a 1.08 ERA over 25 innings this month, dropping his season ERA to 2.95 across 31 starts. Burnes' final start of the regular season is expected to be a road matchup against the Yankees.

Crochet allowed one hit and struck out eight without walking a batter over four scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Friday.

Crochet's workload limit continues to shrink -- he threw 38 of 52 pitches for strikes in this impressive but short outing. He's reached four innings in seven of his 12 outings since he was placed on a pitch count, but he hasn't gone farther over that span. Overall, Crochet has a 3.68 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 203:32 K:BB through 142 innings over 31 starts. His last outing is projected to be a home start versus the Angels next week, though he shouldn't be expected to throw more than 50 pitches or last long enough to qualify for a win.

Musgrove allowed four hits and struck out nine without walking a batter over six scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the White Sox on Friday.

Musgrove has turned in six scoreless frames in three of his four outings in September. The nine strikeouts matched his season high for the third time, and this was also the sixth time in 18 starts he avoided walking a batter. Musgrove trimmed his ERA to 3.95 with a 1.19 WHIP and 95:22 K:BB across 93.1 innings. He's lined up to make his last start of the regular season on the road versus the Dodgers.

Freeland (5-8) allowed four runs on seven hits and struck out two without walking a batter over six innings to take the loss Friday versus the Dodgers.

Freeland got through four innings with ease, but he allowed home runs to Andy Pages, Shohei Ohtani and Teoscar Hernandez over his last two frames. Over his last 11 starts, Freeland has allowed multiple homers five times. He's now at a 4.95 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 81:25 K:BB through 109 innings over 20 starts this season. The southpaw's last start of the season is projected to come at home versus the Cardinals.

Ginn allowed one run on four hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision versus the Yankees on Friday.

Ginn completed five frames for the fourth time in his five starts this year, and this was one of his better performances. He limited the damage to a game-tying RBI single by Anthony Volpe in the fifth inning. Ginn hasn't looked uncomfortable at the major-league level, turning in an acceptable 4.40 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 27:7 K:BB over 28.2 innings across seven outings. His last start of the campaign is tentatively set to be at home versus the Rangers.

Cole (7-5) allowed one run on two hits and a walk while striking out seven over nine innings to earn the win over the Athletics on Friday.

Cole didn't get a complete game, as the Yankees needed 10 innings to get past the A's in this one. It was the first time all year he's gone beyond six innings, and he threw 66 of his 99 pitches for starts in his third quality start over his last four outings. Cole is now at a 3.67 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 94:28 K:BB through 88.1 innings across 16 starts. He's tentatively projected to make his next start at home versus the Orioles, which would position Cole well to take the mound for Game 1 of the ALDS should the Yankees be able to maintain their four-game lead in the AL East over Baltimore.

Bellozo (3-4) yielded three runs on seven hits and a walk over 5.1 innings Friday, striking out three and earning a win over Atlanta.

Bellozo gave up one run through three frames before Orlando Arcia knocked a solo homer in the fourth inning. Ramon Laureano later belted a solo home run in the sixth. Bellozo has allowed 11 long balls in his last six starts, resulting in a 5.28 ERA during that span. For the year, he's sporting a 3.82 ERA with a 42:20 K:BB through 63.2 innings. Bellozo is currently in line to start in Toronto next week.

Morton (8-9) yielded four runs on seven hits and four walks over six innings Friday, striking out three and taking a loss against Miami.

Morton struggled out of the gate and allowed three runs in the first inning. He kept the Marlins off the board for a few frames before allowing another run in the fifth. He threw 64 of 105 pitches for strikes and forced 12 whiffs, including seven with his curveball. Morton has walked multiple batters in seven straight starts, posting a 44:19 K:BB over 40.1 innings during that span. He now owns a 4.08 ERA with a 164:63 K:BB through 29 starts this season. Morton is projected to make his final regular-season start of 2024 in a home matchup against the Mets next week.

Wacha (9-3) took the loss Friday against the Giants, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

After rattling off back-to-back wins, the 33-year-old fell one out short of his 15th quality start in this 96-pitch outing. The Giants managed only two Heliot Ramos extra-base hits off Wacha, while both runs came on RBI singles. He has allowed two or fewer runs in four straight starts, pitching to a 1.58 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 23:6 K:BB across 22.2 innings. Wacha currently lines up to make his final outing of the regular season at Washington next week.
