Kremer (4-6) allowed three runs on five hits and three walks across 5.1 innings Sunday, striking out two and taking a loss against Texas.

Kremer kept the Rangers quiet for three innings before Jonah Heim knocked a three-run homer in the fourth. Kremer has now failed to complete six innings in six straight outings. Over that span, he's registered a 5.65 ERA while going 1-4. The 28-year-old righty owns a 4.43 ERA with a 66:28 K:BB through 69 innings. His next start is projected to come at home against the Padres.

Heaney (4-10) allowed two hits and three walks over five scoreless innings Sunday, striking out four and picking up a win over the Orioles.

Heaney wasn't overly efficient and needed 100 pitches to get through five frames. Still, he kept the Orioles off the board. The southpaw's allowed three or fewer earned runs in 15 consecutive starts since the start of May. During that span, he's gone 4-7 with an impressive 2.81 ERA and 79:20 K:BB. On the year, Heaney owns a 3.60 ERA through 100 frames. His next outing is expected to come in Toronto.

Estes allowed two runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four over 5.2 innings Sunday against the Angels. He did not factor into the decision.

Estes held the Angels scoreless through three innings despite some traffic on the bases before they finally scratched a run across in the fourth. He then would surrender a solo home run to Mickey Moniak in the fifth and couldn't quite get through the sixth after allowing a two-out walk and single. Estes has allowed two runs or fewer in five of his last six starts, three of which have come against the Angels. He will take a 5.11 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 53:17 K:BB in 68.2 innings into another projected outing against the Angels over the weekend.

Abbott didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Nationals, allowing two unearned runs on six hits and three walks across 6.2 innings. He struck out one.

Abbott came out of the All-Star break strong, with both runs scored while he was on the mound Sunday going unearned. However, the Reds pushed only two runners across on offense, keeping Abbott from earning what would have been his fifth win in six starts. After posting a 3.87 ERA in 21 starts as a rookie, Abbott has taken a sizable step forward in Year 2, tallying a 3.39 ERA and 1.21 WHIP over 19 starts and 106.1 innings. He's expected to make his next appearance against the Rays in Tampa Bay next weekend.

Irvin didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Cincinnati, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks across seven innings. He struck out seven.

Irvin entered Sunday's start having allowed six earned runs in back-to-back appearances, but he rebounded with a seven-inning quality start. However, the left-hander did yield multiple home runs, surrendering solo shots to Noelvi Marte and Stuart Fairchild. In 123.0 innings, Irvin has a 3.44 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP. He's on track to face the Cardinals in St. Louis next weekend.

Gonzales (1-1) took the loss Sunday against Philadelphia, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk across 4.2 innings. He struck out four.

Both runs against Gonzales came in the second inning, when he allowed a leadoff single to Alec Bohm and a double to Edmundo Sosa to put two runners in scoring position with one out. Weston Wilson brought in Bohm on a sacrifice fly, then Garrett Stubbs plated Sosa on a base hit. While Gonzales hasn't been dominant in his two starts since being activated from the injured list, he's been reliable, yielding three runs on 13 hits and one walk across 9.2 innings. The 32-year-old is slated to face the Diamondbacks in Arizona next weekend.

Schwellenbach (3-5) took the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on seven hits over six innings against the Cardinals. He struck out eight.

Schwellenbach struck out a career-best eight batters but also allowed a career-high three homers in taking the loss Sunday. He allowed solo blasts in each of the second, third and fourth innings, each coming with two outs. Schwellenbach has been a steady contributor since joining the Atlanta rotation at the end of May. Over his last seven starts, the rookie right-hander has completed six innings or more five times, posting a 3.73 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP with 40 strikeouts over 41 innings. His next start is tentatively slated to take place in Queens when Atlanta travels to take on the Mets.

Mikolas (8-8) earned the win Sunday, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk over six innings against Atlanta. He struck out three.

Mikolas allowed single runs in the third and fifth but otherwise held Atlanta at bay in picking up his eighth win of the season. Mikolas allowed a season-high four homers in his previous outing but rebounded by collecting his 12th quality start of the season and his third in four appearances. The veteran righty has been up and down this season with 10 outings of two or fewer runs allowed to go along with six appearances of five or more. He'll take an ERA of 5.02 and a WHIP of 1.23 into his next start, scheduled to take place in St. Louis against the Nationals.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said Sunday that Pepiot (knee) won't be in store for an extended stay on the 15-day injured list and should be activated in close to the minimum amount of time, MLB.com reports.

Pepiot had been lined up to start Tuesday's game in Toronto, but he was instead placed on the IL on Sunday after developing swelling in his right knee over the All-Star break. After getting the knee checked out, Pepiot was determined to have suffered an infection, but he's already showing signs of improvement after getting IVs in and antibiotics at a New York City hospital Saturday. Pepiot won't be cleared to resume throwing into the inflammation in his knee subsides, but the Rays are hopeful he'll be ready to start the ramp-up process within the next few days. In Pepiot's absence Tuesday, the Rays are likely to either treat the series opener with the Blue Jays as a bullpen day or call up Tyler Alexander from Triple-A Durham to cover the bulk of the innings.

Gausman (8-8) picked up the win Sunday against Detroit, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks across 6.2 innings. He struck out five.

All four runs against Gausman came on one swing of the bat, with Justyn-Henry Malloy launching a grand slam in the fifth inning. Two of the three baserunners aboard for Malloy's long ball reached via walk. In spite of the grand slam, Gausman came away with his second consecutive victory and completed at least six innings for the fourth time in five starts. Although the 33-year-old has been significantly less effective this season, he still owns a palatable 4.55 ERA with 109 strikeouts through 110.2 innings. Gausman is on track for a home start against the Rangers next weekend.
