Peterson (8-5) picked up the win Tuesday against Washington, allowing one run on four hits and one walk across eight innings. He struck out 10.

Peterson rebounded from his worst start of the season, as he allowed six runs and issued five walks in 3.1 innings against Atlanta in his previous outing. The 29-year-old left-hander set a season high in strikeouts and completed eight innings for the second time all year. Peterson owns a 3.18 ERA and 127:51 K:BB across 144.1 innings this season, and he's tentatively scheduled to close out a two-start week Sunday against Atlanta.

Irvin (8-8) took the loss Tuesday against the Mets, allowing six runs on eight hits and three walks across six innings. He struck out three.

Irvin was hit hard by the Mets, yielding four extra-base hits, including a two-run home run to Mark Vientos and a solo home run to Brett Baty. Irvin has now surrendered a total of seven long balls in his last five starts. He has performed especially poorly in his last four outings, tallying a 9.31 ERA and 2.07 WHIP across 19.1 innings. His next start is tentatively scheduled for Sunday in Philadelphia.

Sugano didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Boston, allowing one unearned run on five hits and no walks with three strikeouts over five innings.

Sugano hasn't allowed more than one run in four of his last five starts, and he hasn't taken a loss since July 2. Limiting power has been critical to Sugano's recent success, as he's allowed just one home run over his last five starts after yielding 20 long balls in his previous 19 outings. The 35-year-old rookie has a 3.97 ERA and 85:32 K:BB across 131.1 innings this season. He's slated for a rematch with the Red Sox early next week.

Buehler didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Baltimore, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks across four innings. He struck out four.

Buehler has struggled to locate pitches this season, and those issues have been exaggerated recently. He has more walks than strikeouts across his last five starts, and he's posted a 4.32 ERA along with a 15:18 K:BB across 25 innings during that stretch. Buehler hasn't struck out more than four batters in 11 consecutive outings. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Orioles early next week.

Gomber (0-7) yielded seven runs on nine hits and two walks over three innings Tuesday, striking out two and taking a loss against the Dodgers.

The Dodgers jumped on Gomber early and often. Alex Call and Shohei Ohtani both hit solo homers in the second inning, and Gomber has now given up multiple home runs in four straight outings, posting a 9.95 ERA during that span. His season ERA is up to 7.49 to go alongside a 34:17 K:BB through 57.2 frames. Still looking for his first win in 2025, Gomber is expected to start in Pittsburgh this weekend.

Sheehan (4-2) allowed four runs on six hits and two walks over six innings Tuesday, striking out seven and earning a win over Colorado.

Sheehan coughed up a pair of two-run homers in the victory, first to Brenton Doyle in the fourth inning before Kyle Karros knocked one in the sixth. Sheehan allowed 10 runs over 30 innings in his first seven appearances this season, but he has since been tagged with nine runs over his last two outings. His season ERA has jumped from 3.00 to 4.17 during that span. On the bright side, he generated a season-high 15 whiffs Tuesday, including 10 with his slider. Sheehan will carry a 44:15 K:BB into his next matchup, which is slated to be at home against the Reds next week.

Cabrera (6-7) took the loss Tuesday against the Cardinals, allowing six runs (four earned) on 11 hits and a walk while striking out six in 4.1 innings.

Cabrera was pummeled for a career-worst 11 hits, though shockingly nothing he gave up went for extra bases, signaling he likely had some bad luck involved. Tuesday was his first time since May 19 that he allowed at least three earned runs in a start at home. Despite the rough outing, Cabrera still managed to record 17 whiffs, and he has an 11.4 K/9 over his last four starts. He'll look to bounce back in his next start, which currently lines up for Monday against Atlanta.

McGreevy (5-2) got the win over Miami on Tuesday, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits while not walking a batter. He struck out five.

McGreevy blanked the Marlins through three frames but gave up a pair of runs in the fourth and then again in the sixth but still exited in line for the win with the Cardinals leading 6-4. He tied his season high with five strikeouts and did not walk a batter for a second consecutive start. McGreevy has also reached six innings in four straight starts, though he's given up three or more runs in three of those. He lines up for a two-start week next week, beginning with a home start against the Pirates.

Keller (5-12) took the loss Tuesday against the Blue Jays, allowing five runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out four in 3.1 innings.

Keller struggled out of the gates, allowing three runs in the opening frame while needing 33 pitches to complete the inning. George Springer then punished him in the second with a two-run blast to put the Pirates in a quick 5-0 hole. In six starts since the All-Star break, Keller owns an 8.31 ERA and 2.08 WHIP and has completed six frames only once. He lines up for a road start against the Cardinals to begin next week.

Scherzer (2-4) got the win Tuesday over the Pirates, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out four in six innings.

Scherzer's control was a little shaky, as he issued three walks for the second time in his past three outings, but he was able to limit the damage in crucial situations. Tuesday's outing was a fifth straight quality start for Scherzer, though he hasn't topped five strikeouts since he punched out 11 on July 27. During his streak of quality starts, Scherzer has posted a 2.25 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 28:7 K:BB in 32 innings. He lines up for a home start versus Minnesota to open up next week.
