Lugo (9-1) earned the win Wednesday over the Twins, allowing one run on six hits and three walks while striking out five over six innings.

Lugo won five of his six starts in May, allowing just nine runs (eight earned) over 40.1 innings in the month. This was just the fourth time in 12 starts Lugo has allowed nine or more baserunners, as he's been one of the most dominant pitchers in the majors this season. The right-hander is now at a 1.72 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 66:18 K:BB over 78.1 innings this season. Lugo's next start is projected to be at Cleveland in a battle between the AL Central's two best teams.

Manoah will receive an MRI on his right elbow Thursday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Manoah allowed one hit and struck out three batters in 1.2 innings Wednesday versus the White Sox before right elbow discomfort forced him out of the game early. The Blue Jays will wait for the results of his MRI before making any decisions, but there is a chance the 26-year-old righty will require a trip to the injured list.

Peterson came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 10-3 loss to the Dodgers, giving up three runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out three.

Making his season debut after recovering from offseason hip surgery, Peterson tossed 86 pitches (57 strikes) in a solid performance and left the mound with the score tied, 3-3. The Mets are running with a six-man rotation at least until their trip to London in early June to face the Phillies, so the southpaw should get another start early next week, on the road against the Nationals. Whether Peterson remains in the rotation after that is unclear.

Paxton came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 10-3 win over the Mets, giving up two hits over three scoreless innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.

The veteran lefty was pitching on just four days' rest, and per Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register, was told prior to the outing that his workload would be limited. Paxton wound up tossing exactly 50 pitches (29 strikes), as the Dodgers effectively went with a bullpen day and used six relievers after he left the mound. Paxton will take a 3.29 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 31:28 K:BB through 52 innings into his next outing -- when he should see a more usual workload in a road start against the Pirates.

The Tigers returned Montero to Triple-A Toledo after Wednesday's doubleheader with the Pirates.

Montero was dealt the loss in his MLB debut after striking out five but giving up four earned runs on five hits and one walk in 4.1 innings in the Tigers' 10-2 loss to the Pirates in the second game of the twin bill. He'll now return to Toledo as organizational rotation depth. The 23-year-old righty owns a 4.40 ERA and 1.49 WHIP through nine starts in the minors, and his rough debut could cause the Tigers to look elsewhere in their farm system if they need to fill a rotation spot later in the season.

Manoah was removed from Wednesday's game against the White Sox in the second inning due right elbow discomfort.

The severity of Manoah's injury isn't immediately apparent, but it was enough to warrant his removal after recording just five outs Wednesday. He is tentatively scheduled to pitch again Tuesday against the Orioles, though a clearer picture of his status for that game will come once the Jays are able to take a closer look at him.

Harrison (4-2) took the loss Wednesday against the Phillies, allowing four runs on 12 hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out five.

Harrison's final line ultimately could've looked a lot worse, as he surrendered a career-most 12 hits. The 22-year-old southpaw's hit a rough patch of late, giving up three or more runs over five innings in each of his last four starts. Harrison's ERA is up to 4.15 through 12 starts (65 innings) this year with a 1.40 WHIP and 60:22 K:BB. He'll look to get on track in his next outing, currently lined up for early next week in Arizona.

Sanchez (3-3) earned the win Wednesday, holding the Giants to four hits and one walk over six scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

It was another impressive effort from Sanchez, who's now held opponents to two runs or fewer in eight of his 11 starts this season. The 27-year-old left-hander lowered his ERA to 2.83 with a 1.39 WHIP and 56:20 K:BB across 60.1 innings. Sanchez will look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently slated for early next week against Milwaukee.

Nelson (3-4) took the loss Wednesday against Texas, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out three.

Nelson held the Rangers to two runs through the first four innings before Corey Seager's two-run homer in the fifth, extending the Diamondbacks' deficit to 4-0 in an eventual 6-1 loss. Ultimately, it was another subpar outing for the 26-year-old Nelson -- his ERA now sits at 6.02 with a 1.76 WHIP and 31:13 K:BB across 40.1 innings this season and he's allowed at least four earned runs in half of his eight starts. He'll look to get on track in his next start, currently scheduled for early next week at home versus San Francisco.

Gomber (arm) will start Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

General arm soreness caused Gomber to be scratched from his scheduled start Monday versus Cleveland, but he is now set to make his next outing during the weekend coming off plenty of rest. The 30-year-old southpaw has impressed early in the year with a 2.76 ERA and 1.11 WHIP across 58.2 innings through his first 10 starts.
