Williams (4-0) secured the win Tuesday versus the Orioles after throwing five scoreless innings and striking out eight batters while surrendering two hits.

Williams was carving up the Orioles' lineup Tuesday, striking out eight of the first 15 batters he faced while allowing only one baserunner -- a single from Adley Rutschman. Williams likely could have remained in the game longer; however, the Nationals seem determined to keep him limited to roughly 80 pitches per start this season. The 32-year-old right-hander boasts a 1.96 ERA and 1.06 WHIP heading into his next start, tentatively scheduled to come Monday against the White Sox.

Sandoval (2-5) picked up the win Tuesday against Pittsburgh after throwing seven scoreless innings and striking out seven batters while giving up three hits and a walk.

Coming off a 10-strikeout performance in a tough-luck loss during his last start, Sandoval completely silenced the Pirates' bats Tuesday while continuing to strike out batters at a notable clip. Following his dominant outing, he still sits at a 4.85 ERA and 1.49 WHIP through eight starts, but he has enough positive momentum to warrant consideration from fantasy managers during his next start Sunday versus Kansas City.

Priester (0-3) was hit with the loss Tuesday versus the Angels, allowing five runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out one batter in 4.2 innings.

Priester was able to get through the first three innings of Tuesday's game without much trouble, but things took a turn in the fourth when he allowed a three-run homer to Kevin Pillar. A throwing error from Priester also extended the fifth inning, during which two more unearned runs came across to score. It was an all-around forgettable performance for the 23-year-old, who now holds a 3.86 ERA through four starts and will remain in search of his first win next week in Milwaukee.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Wednesday that Dunning will be placed on the 15-day injured list with a shoulder issue, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

It's not clear at this point how or when Dunning was hurt, nor have the Rangers offered up a timetable for his return. With Nathan Eovaldi (groin) also hitting the IL recently, the Rangers could need Jose Urena and Jack Leiter to remain in the rotation for multiple turns. Dunning has collected a 4.10 ERA and 43:17 K:BB over 37.1 frames covering seven starts this season.

Berrios (4-3) took the loss Tuesday against Philadelphia, surrendering eight earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven batters across 3.2 innings.

Berrios had trouble locating the strike zone Tuesday and often found himself working with a lot of traffic on the basepaths, which were twice cleared by home runs. He was able to strike out batters at a notable rate, matching his season high in roughly half the innings, but he was immediately pulled after Bryce Harper's fourth-inning grand slam made it an 8-0 game. Despite Berrios' ugly performance Tuesday, he still holds a 2.85 ERA and 1.12 WHIP through his first eight starts, and he'll get a chance to bounce back against the Orioles on Sunday.

Hendricks (back) struck out six and allowed one earned run on five hits and three walks over 4.1 innings in his second rehab start Tuesday with Triple-A Iowa.

Hendricks tossed 85 pitches in the outing and said Wednesday that he "felt great" during his time on the mound, per Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports. The right-hander's pitch count and own comments about his health suggests that he'll be ready to make his next start with the Cubs, perhaps as soon as Sunday in Pittsburgh. Once Hendricks is activated from the 15-day injured list, he'll likely be taking over Hayden Wesneski's spot in the rotation.

Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Wednesday that Marsh (elbow) remains on track to return from the 15-day injured list to start Friday versus the Angels, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Marsh was terrific in his lone rehab start with Triple-A Omaha on Sunday, striking out six over four shutout innings. The right-hander threw only 53 pitches in the outing, so he could be limited a bit from a workload perspective against the Angels. Marsh has missed the last couple weeks with a bruised right elbow.

Burnes (3-2) allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out six over 6.1 innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Nationals.

The three walks matched a season high, and the Nationals proved opportunistic by logging three steals with Burnes on the mound. The right-hander has earned a quality start in five of his eight outings and has yet to give up more than three runs in any of his starts. He's winless over his last three starts but owns a 2.83 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 47:12 K:BB through 47.2 innings overall. Burnes lines up for a home start versus the Blue Jays in his next outing.

The Athletics recalled Bido from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday.

Bido is being designated as the Athletics' 27th man for Wednesday's doubleheader with the Rangers and will start the second game of the day. The right-hander boasts a 2.59 ERA and 39:13 K:BB across 31.1 innings with Las Vegas this season. With Joe Boyle (back) on the 15-day injured list, the Athletics could opt to keep Bido around for multiple turns through the rotation if he performs well Wednesday in his Oakland debut.

Turnbull threw two innings of relief Tuesday against the Blue Jays, walking one but allowing no hits or runs.

Turnbull was expected to pitch in some sort of piggyback setup with Cristopher Sanchez, but Tuesday's game didn't entirely fit that pattern. Sanchez threw seven innings of one-run ball before turning it over to Turnbull in the eighth with the Phillies up 8-1. Turnbull's outing therefore wound up looking much more like traditional low-leverage relief work than a proper piggybacking arrangement. It's not yet clear whether Turnbull will be used as a typical reliever for the foreseeable future or if the Phillies will keep him lined up with Sanchez's starts.
