Adon didn't factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over four innings against San Francisco. He struck out two.

Adon was called up to fill Josiah Gray's (elbow) spot in the Nationals' rotation after Gray was moved to the 15-day injured list. Adon's only run allowed came in the third inning when Patrick Bailey plated Thairo Estrada on a sacrifice fly. While Adon didn't blow the Giants out of the water, one run over four innings is likely enough to earn him another start. However, with Adon not fully stretched out -- 72 pitches Tuesday -- and given his 6.71 ERA as a starter before this season, he'll be tough to trust in fantasy during his time in the rotation. Adon's next start is tentatively scheduled to come Monday against the Dodgers.

Musgrove (1-2) was handed the loss Tuesday against the Cubs, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out five.

All of the damage against Musgrove came in the fifth, as he surrendered a solo homer to Yan Gomes to open up the inning, then gave up a walk, a single and a hit-by-pitch to load the bases. While Musgrove was pulled at that point, he was stuck with three earned runs as reliever Stephen Kolek surrendered a grand slam to Christopher Morel on his very first pitch. After finishing each of the last three seasons with an ERA below 3.20, Musgrove's ERA sits at 6.87 through four starts. He's allowed at least four runs in all but one appearance and will look for improvement Monday when he's projected to start against the Brewers.

Kelly (2-0) got the win over the Rockies on Tuesday, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks in six innings. He struck out four.

Five of the six hits allowed by Kelly went for singles, as he was able to keep the damage against him to a minimum in a ballpark where baseballs tend to travel far. It was his first outing of the year with multiple walks, but he now has three quality starts in as many tries to open 2024 and owns a 2.29 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 16:4 K:BB in 19.2 innings. He tentatively lines up for a start against the Cubs his next time out.

Quantrill (0-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, allowing three runs on eight hits and no walks in six innings. He struck out six.

Quantrill struck out a season-high six batters in his first quality start of the year, but he fell victim to the long ball, allowing home runs to Corbin Carroll and Randal Grichuk. Both of those home runs came in the first two innings, as Quantrill was able to settle in and throw four shutout frames afterwards. It's been a rough go early for the 29-year-old and he'll take a 7.20 ERA and 1.73 WHIP into his next start on the road against Philadelphia.

Eovaldi did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks in 5.2 innings versus the Athletics. He struck out eight.

Eovaldi had another strong performance, as a second-inning home run by Shea Langeliers was the lone blemish against him. He generated 21 whiffs while striking out eight hitters for the second straight outing. Eovaldi's been cruising with a 1.45 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 19:4 K:BB in 18.2 innings so far but lines up for a tough road matchup against the Astros next.

Wood did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Rangers, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks in four innings. He struck out two.

Wood allowed runs in the first two innings, including a Jonah Heim solo home run in the second. Wood failed to reach five frames for the second time in three starts while having to work through some command issues. He now owns an 8.03 ERA, 1.95 WHIP and 12:6 K:BB in 12.1 innings but lines up for a favorable start against the Nationals his next time out.

Wheeler (0-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Cardinals, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five over seven innings.

The Phillies failed to give Wheeler any run support despite getting 11 baserunners during the game. Wheeler was unable to keep the Cardinals off the scoreboard forever. He shut them out through three frames before Nolan Gorman took him deep in the fourth. The Cardinals then padded their lead in the fifth with two more runs after opening the inning with a pair of hits. If you look past the record, Wheeler has been excellent thus far with a 1.89 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 20:2 K:BB in 19 innings. He'll look for his first win of the year in his next start, which looks to come Sunday against the Pirates.

Gray (1-0) tossed five shutout innings in a win over the Phillies on Tuesday. He allowed five base hits and no walks while striking out five.

Gray held a dangerous Phillies lineup in check and looked to be in complete control in his season debut. He faced one over the minimum through three frames and only had to deal with multiple baserunners in the fifth. Gray was efficient too, only needing 64 pitches to get through five innings and put himself in line for a win. The 34-year-old will continue to increase his pitch count with each start and has a golden opportunity ahead of him with a matchup against the Athletics.

Javier pitched 5.1 innings and allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out four batters in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Royals.

Javier was able to extend his scoreless streak to 15 innings to open the 2024 campaign by blanking the Royals through four frames Tuesday. The right-hander ran into trouble in the bottom of the fifth inning, surrendering a two-out. two-run triple to Bobby Witt before another unearned run came around to score later in the frame. Through three starts, Javier has produced a 1.10 ERA and 1.16 WHIP with 13 strikeouts over 16.1 innings. He's tentatively set to return to the mound Sunday at home versus the Rangers.

Ragans gave up three runs on 10 hits and a walk while striking out five over five innings in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Astros. He did not factor into the decision.

Ragans didn't have his best stuff Tuesday, and it was evident early when he allowed three batters to reach base in each of the first two innings. The left-hander had given up only six hits over two starts coming into the matchup with Houston, a figure the Astros came close to doubling. Although Ragans couldn't find his groove Tuesday, his ability to limit the damage was impressive. He'll look to get back on track in his next projected start, which lines up for Sunday on the road against the Mets.
