Hendricks (6-8) took the loss against the White Sox on Saturday after allowing one run on four hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out two.

The veteran right-hander surrendered a run on three hits and a walk during the second inning, but that was enough to saddle him with the loss as the Angels got shut out. Hendricks has been pitching well lately with a 3.47 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 31:8 K:BB in 46.2 innings across his past nine starts. A tough road matchup versus Detroit is on deck next weekend.

Civale (3-6) allowed two walks and one hit while striking out eight across 6.1 scoreless innings to earn the win Saturday against the Angels.

Civale retired the first nine batters he faced and was never particularly troubled by the Angels while also racking up 13 swinging strikes on 94 pitches. He has suddenly found his form, as this marked his third consecutive outing without allowing an earned run, a stretch of 17.1 innings. Civale has also maintained a 20:3 K:BB in that span while picking up a pair of wins.

The Brewers recalled Henderson from Triple-A Nashville, and he's slated to start Sunday's game against the Nationals, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Henderson will take over the rotation spot of Jacob Misiorowski, who was unexpectedly placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to a left tibia contusion. Though Misiorowski has drawn far more buzz, Henderson was arguably just as impressive over his first four MLB starts, logging a 1.71 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 29:6 K:BB in 21 innings. Since returning to Nashville, Henderson's ratios haven't been quite as eye-popping (4.34 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 47:13 K:BB in 47.2 innings). He should be in line for at least two turns through the rotation, and maybe more if Misiorowski isn't ready to return from the IL when first eligible.

The Brewers placed Misiorowski on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to a left tibia contusion.

Misiorowski took a Seiya Suzuki comebacker off his shin in the first inning Monday, and even though he remained in that game and had been confirmed to start Sunday's series finale against Washington, the star rookie evidently didn't bounce back from the injury as the Brewers had hoped. He'll be sidelined through at least mid-August. Right-hander Logan Henderson was recalled from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move and will replace Misiorowski in the rotation Sunday.

Vasquez (3-5) was charged with the loss against the Cardinals on Saturday after surrendering five runs on eight hits and no walks across four-plus innings. He struck out three.

The right-hander was staked a 4-0 lead after three innings, but he allowed five runs across the fourth and fifth frames before being pulled. The performance ended a run of four straight starts allowing two runs or fewer, though Vasquez hasn't lasted five innings since July 4 and is without a victory in his past 13 outings. The right-hander's next start lines up for next weekend versus Boston, though he could be replaced in the rotation by Nestor Cortes (elbow).

McGreevy (3-2) earned the win Saturday in San Diego after giving up four runs on seven hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out four.

The right-hander surrendered runs in each of the first three frames to put St. Louis in a 4-0 hole, but he bounced back with three scoreless innings while the Cardinals offense rallied for six runs across the fifth and sixth innings. It was the third straight turn through the rotation for McGreevy, who should continue to get an extended look with the Cardinals down the stretch. In seven appearances (six starts) this season, he has a 5.08 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 23:6 K:BB over 39 innings.

Atlanta recalled Waldrep from Triple-A Gwinnett to serve as the 27th man for the continuation of the MLB Speedway Classic against the Reds on Sunday in Bristol, Tenn.

Saturday's game was marred by two rain delays before being suspended during the first inning, and Waldrep will join Atlanta to potentially provide some length. The 23-year-old was scheduled to start Sunday for Triple-A Gwinnett and should be available for a full workload. Waldrep surrendered 13 earned runs across his first two MLB appearances last season and has a 4.42 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 92:50 K:BB over 91.2 innings this season with Gwinnett.

Young is slated to start Sunday's game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

As expected, Young will be called upon to fill one of the openings in the rotation that was created Thursday after Zach Eflin (back) was placed on the injured list and Charlie Morton was traded to the Tigers. Young has made eight starts this season for Baltimore, going 0-5 with a 6.63 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 34:16 K:BB in 36.2 innings. The rookie right-hander came through with his first career quality start his last time out however, striking out six over six frames Tuesday while allowing two earned runs on six hits and two walks.

Irvin (8-6) took the loss against the Brewers on Saturday, allowing five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out two across four innings.

Irvin put the Nationals on the back foot right out of the gate after yielding three runs in the first inning, before giving up a run in each of the next two frames. He has given up five runs in two of his last three starts and has just five strikeouts over that span, which has Irvin at a 4.89 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 88:43 K:BB across 130.2 innings this season. He'll look to bounce back in his next start, tentatively slated for next weekend on the road against the Giants.

Woodruff (3-0) earned the win in Saturday's game against the Nationals, allowing two runs on one hit and one walk while striking out eight across six innings.

It was a dominant start for Woodruff, who faced the minimum number of batters in five of six innings. He generated nine whiffs on 88 pitches (60 strikes), and his only blemish came in the third inning, when he yielded a two-run homer to Robert Hassell. Woodruff has four quality starts over his first five starts of the season and has a 2.01 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 11.7 K/9 across 22.1 innings. He'll look to go 4-0 in his next start, which is slated for next weekend at home against the Mets.
