Sardinas is batting ninth and starting at shortstop Wednesday against the Indians.

Sardinas has not played in the last two contests, but he'll slot in at shortstop and give Ketel Marte the day off. The 22-year-old hasn't gotten off to the best start, but he has gotten a hit in his past two starts and even has a home run to his name in his limited plate appearances.

Lindor went 3-for-3 with a run, an RBI, a walk and a double Tuesday against the Mariners.

Lindor scored the first run of the game before driving in the third and final run in a game the Indians held on to win. After collecting only one extra-base hit in his first eight games, he's now hit doubles in three straight games to raise his OPS to .465.

Anderson (wrist) went 3-for-12 with two doubles and a run scored over his last three games with Triple-A Charlotte.

Anderson missed some time earlier this month with a wrist injury, but he returned to action April 14 and has played every day since. Anderson is off to a slow start in his first go-around at Triple-A, posting a .167/.167/.233 slash line through his first seven games, but he has plenty of time to turn things around.

Correa will be out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Correa has played in all 12 of the Astros' games to date, and after going 1-for-14 over the most recent four contests, manager A.J. Hinch decided it was best to give the 21-year-old a day off. Replaced at shortstop by Marwin Gonzalez, Correa will also cede his usual No. 3 spot in the order to Colby Rasmus.

Bogaerts was 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Saturday's 4-2 victory over the Blue Jays.

The shortstop blased a one-out, third-inning offering from Marco Estrada, a line drive into the seats atop the Green Monster. It marked the 23-year-old's first gopher ball of the season, and extended his hitting streak to eight games. Bogaerts has also reached base safely in every game but the opener, and now has five RBI over his last two contests.

Pennington was 1-for-4 with a two-run double in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Twins.

The utility infielder did some damage out of the nine-hole, blasting a second-inning double off Twins starter Ricky Nolasco that plated CJ Cron and Andrelton Simmons. The two-bagger was only the second hit of the season for Pennington, who'd hadn't started a game since Apr. 11 versus Oakland. The 31-year-old figures to continue receiving spot starts throughout the season, but his offensive and fantasy upside is certainly limited.

Baldoquin (hamstring) was placed on the 7-day disabled list Thursday, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.

Baldoquin left Tuesday's game for High-A Inland Empire with an apparent hamstring injury, and though Gonzalez notes that the injury isn't believed to be serious, he'll land on the DL as a precaution. As a top-10 prospect in the Angels' system, it makes sense for the organization to take a cautious approach with him. He'll be eligible to come off the disabled list April 21.

Mateo, 20, is batting .346/.414/.538 with three RBI and three steals through six games for High-A Tampa.

Mateo has been scalding the ball out of the gate, but speed remains his primary weapon. The speedster swiped 82 bags in 117 games in 2015.

Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a double, two steals and two RBI in Wednesday's win over the Orioles.

That's hits in six straight for the young shortstop, and the two early swipes are nice to see after Bogaerts increased his output to 10 steals last year. He makes a lot of good contact, which helps him hit for average, but it'd be nice to see Bogaerts boost his power totals as well as his speed. At just 23 years old, he's certainly in position to do so.

Mondesi, 20, is batting .280/.333/.640 with two home runs, six RBI and four steals through six games at Double-A Northwest Arkansas.

This could be the breakout season for Mondesi, who has always had a bit more speed than power, though still may be developing a power stroke at his young age. He has been pushed hard by the Royals, but has not been overwhelmed at any level thus far. Mondesi is on pace to battle for a big-league roster spot in 2017.
