Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts recorded three hits in Sunday's blowout win over the Royals.

Bogaerts went 3 for 5 with three doubles and three RBI. 

Bogaerts is hitting .307 with eight hits, three doubles and six RBI over his last six games.

Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts has been given a rest for the game Saturday in Kansas City after 19 straight starts at that position. Brock Holt will man it instead.

Bogaerts has been solid and consistent since a late-May swoon. He has hit safely in 16 of his last 19 games to maintain a respectable slash line of .285/.324/.387.

Super rookie Carlos Correa has shown all five of his tools in his brief time with the Astros since his promotion. But one of them really stood out Thursday night. That is, his speed.

Correa quadrupled his stolen base output on the year by swiping three in a defeat of Colorado. He swiped third in the third inning, second in the fifth and third in the seventh.

He also doubled, walked and scored twice.

Angels rookie shortstop Taylor Featherston slammed his first career home run in Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Featherston went 1 for 4 with a solo shot to left center field in the top of the third inning.

His performance on Thursday ended a four-game hitless streak.

Astros rookie shortstop Carlos Correa had another big night at the plate in Wednesday's 8-4 victory over the Rockies. Correa went 3 for 5 with a two-run home run, a double, three RBI and a run scored. 

Correa's home run, his third of the season, gave the Astros an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. He's now slashing a ridiculous .359/.375/.641 through his first nine games of his career.

Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor went 2 for 5 in Tuesday's win over the Cubs. He has hit in both games since making his MLB debut over the weekend. 

Lindor recorded his first career RBI and stole his first career base. 

Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts is making his first career start in the cleanup spot on Tuesday against the Braves. With Hanley Ramirez out of the lineup, manager John Farrell decided to move Bogaerts to the No. 4 position.

And why not? Bogaerts has been hitting very well so far in the month of June. The slick-fielding shortstop is batting .333 (18 for 54) with four doubles, one home run and eight RBI over 14 games this month.

Bogaerts hit his solo home run in the seventh inning. Bogaerts finished the game 1 for 4. He now holds a slash line of .289/.330/.399 for the season. 

Indians premier shortstop prospect Francisco Lindor will make his starting debut Monday against the host Cubs. He is batting second.

Lindor was 1-for-2 Sunday coming off the bench. He struck out in his first major league at-bat before lining a single to right. He intended to roll into second with a double, but fell down rounding the bag.

Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts went 0 for 4 in Sunday's loss to Toronto. 

The hitless day was the first for Bogaerts since June 3, snapping a nine-game hitting streak.
