Tristan Gray SS | MIN
Athletics' Tristan Gray: Gaining foothold in lineup
Gray will start at first base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Tigers.
The lefty-hitting Gray has now picked up starts in five consecutive matchups with right-handed starters or primary pitchers and looks to have displaced Daz Cameron for a regular spot in the Oakland lineup. Since his Sept. 1 call-up from Triple-A Las Vegas, Gray has gone 3-for-17 with a double and three walks.

Jeremy Pena SS | HOU
Astros' Jeremy Pena: Drives in three
Pena went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run Saturday against the Diamondbacks.
Pena ended a 12-game stretch without a home run, during which he hit only .178 with five RBI and four runs scored. Despite the recent drought, Pena has seen his power production bounce back in 2024, as his ISO has jumped from .118 to .134. Overall, he's delivered a well-rounded line that includes a career-high 68 RBI and 16 steals.

Ceddanne Rafaela CF | BOS
Red Sox's Ceddanne Rafaela: Starts in center field
Rafaela started in center field and went 0-for-4 in Saturday's 7-5 win over the White Sox.
The return of shortstop Trevor Story was initially expected to move Rafaela to second base, but Red Sox manager Alex Cora put him in the outfield. Rafaela is fighting it right now and is 5-for-40 (.125) over his last 12 games.

Zachary Neto SS | LAA
Angels' Zach Neto: Nabs two thefts in loss
Neto went 0-for-2 with a walk, two runs and two stolen bases in a loss to Texas on Saturday.
Neto didn't log any hits, but he still made an impact. The shortstop was hit by a pitch, stole second and scored in the first inning and added a walk, another steal and another run in the sixth. Neto is up to 29 stolen bases on the campaign -- with one more he can become the sixth MLB player with at least 20 home runs and 30 thefts so far this season.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Red Sox's Trevor Story: Grabs RBI in return
Story (shoulder) went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Saturday's 7-5 win over the White Sox.
Story supplied an RBI single in the third inning to give the Red Sox a 6-2 lead in his first big-league game after missing five months due to a dislocated shoulder. Assuming he doesn't have any additional injuries, Story should be Boston's primary shortstop over the final three weeks of the campaign. He's batting .229 with no home runs, five RBI, one stolen base, one run scored and three doubles through nine games this year.

The shortstop has produced on just six hits in his past 10 games, scoring six times while driving in seven runs. On the season, he is hitting just .178 with 12 RBI and 23 runs scored across 212 plate appearances.

Willi Castro LF | COL
Twins' Willi Castro: Idle again Saturday
Castro is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals.
Castro is out of the lineup for a second consecutive game, marking his first back-to-back absences from the starting lineup since April. Though there haven't been any reports of an injury, fantasy managers should keep an eye on Castro's availability.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Red Sox's Trevor Story: Officially activated
Story (shoulder) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Saturday, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.
Story draws the start at shortstop and will bat seventh for the Red Sox on Saturday, marking the 31-year-old's first MLB showing since suffering a dislocated shoulder in early April. Story appeared in four rehab games prior to being activated and notched four hits in his final minor-league outing.
