Volpe went 3-for-5 with a triple and two runs against Minnesota in a 9-5 win Wednesday.

Volpe was responsible for one-third of the Yankees' nine hits in the victory, and he scored twice from atop the team's lineup. It was the fifth time this season the second-year shortstop has collected three or more hits in a game. Volpe had a 21-game hitting streak snapped May 30, but he's picked things right up since then, building a five-game hitting streak during which he's batted .364 (8-for-22).

DeJong went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Cubs.

DeJong is hitting for power with three homers over his last five contests, though he's gone a modest 4-for-18 in that span. The shortstop is up to 10 long balls this season, just four shy of matching his total from 112 contests in 2023. DeJong has added a .226/.276/.446 slash line, 21 RBI, 23 runs scored and two stolen bases over 56 games. He's not a particularly well-rounded hitter, but he's done enough to maintain a starting job.

Manager Bruce Bochy said after Wednesday's game that Seager's (hamstring) removal from Texas' win over Detroit was precautionary, and the team doesn't consider his injury to be anything serious, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Bochy added that Seager will not receive an MRI, and the Rangers will instead wait to see how he feels after Thursday's scheduled off day before deciding whether or not to hold him out for a few games. Should the 30-year-old need to miss any amount of time, Ezequiel Duran would likely be the next man up to start at shortstop.

Seager was removed from Wednesday's game against the Tigers due to left hamstring tightness, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

After extending his on-base streak to 28 games with an RBI single in the second inning of Wednesday's contest, Seager was grabbing at his hamstring before being replaced on first base by Ezequiel Duran. The Rangers will likely take Seager in for imaging, and more information on his status may come following Wednesday's game. The 30-year-old infielder has slashed .300/.395/.627 with 11 home runs and 21 RBI since May 1.

Bliss entered Tuesday's win over the Athletics as a pinch runner in the top of the eighth inning and recorded a steal of second base. He did not log a subsequent plate appearance.

The speedy rookie is already up to three swipes over his first six big-league games, with those numbers coming on the heels of a 28-for-34 showing in the steals department at Triple-A Tacoma. Bliss has seen only one ball drop in thus far over his 15 plate appearances, but he's maintained a presence on the basepaths and set himself up for stolen-base opportunities by also drawing four walks in that span.

Moore went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run in a win over the Athletics on Tuesday.

Moore didn't log one of his trademark extra-base hits, but he still found a way to make an impact by working himself into scoring position after his fourth-inning single with the help of his ninth steal. The 31-year-old remains in a multi-game funk, however, as he's just 3-for-25 over the last seven contests, a span during which he's reached via a trio of singles, one walk and three hit-by-pitches.

Witt went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Guardians.

The 23-year-old superstar took Triston McKenzie deep in the third and fourth innings to help stake the Royals to an early 5-0 lead, but Seth Lugo and the bullpen couldn't make it hold up. Witt has hit safely in 16 of the last 17 games, a stretch in which he's slashing .378/.400/.716 with six homers, two steals, 15 runs and 23 RBI.

Castro started at second base and went 0-for-2 with a walk in Tuesday's loss against the Yankees.

Castro has played several positions this season and has moved frequently during games, but he's now set to start mostly at second base due to Edouard Julien being sent to Triple-A. He'll likely soon accumulate enough games at second base (three games played at second this season) to qualify at another position in most formats. (He's already played more than 10 games at third base, shortstop and outfield.)

Pena went 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, two RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Cardinals.

Pena entered Tuesday's game having failed to tally an extra-base hit in 10 straight starts. He ended that drought with an RBI double in the third inning and also drove in a run on a sacrifice fly one frame later. Pena is now hitting .302 with five home runs and nine stolen bases across 251 plate appearances on the campaign.

Baez is not in the Tigers' lineup Tuesday versus the Rangers.

In the last 10 games, Baez is hitting just .108 (4-for-37). Amidst the slump, the shortstop will take a seat with Zach McKinstry starting in his place and batting sixth Tuesday.
