Witt went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases in Saturday's loss to the Angels.

Witt scored Kansas City's first run of the game after reaching on an infield single and stealing second, coming home on a double from Salvador Perez. The star shortstop would later drive in a run with another single in the sixth before stealing his second base of the contest, though he was then thrown out trying to steal third. Witt has now recorded multiple hits in five of 10 games this month. He's batting .314 over that stretch with four RBI, 12 runs and six stolen bases.

Henderson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-4 extra-innings win over the Diamondbacks.

Henderson regained a share of the major-league lead with his 12th homer of the campaign, putting him in a tie with Atlanta's Marcell Ozuna and Houston's Kyle Tucker. While he's hit two homers over the last three games, Henderson has just three multi-hit efforts in May, a month that's seen him go 8-for-34 (.235) over nine contests. It's little to be concerned about considering how well he's played overall -- he has a .278/.355/.583 slash line with 27 RBI, 30 runs scored and six stolen bases over 38 games.

Crawford (oblique) put in a full pregame workout before the Mariners' series opener against the Athletics on Friday, making throws on groundballs and taking batting practice on the field, MLB.com reports.

Not only is the boost in activity level encouraging, but Crawford confirmed after his workout that he's back to full strength. However, the veteran shortstop also conceded he needed to get his timing at the plate back, making it likely he goes on a rehab assignment of no more than two games before potentially being activated.

Rocchio is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Rocchio has gone 0-for-8 with two strikeouts over the first two games of the series, and the 23-year-old rookie will begin Saturday's game in the dugout. Gabriel Arias will start at shortstop and bat ninth against White Sox right-hander Mike Clevinger.

Baez is not in the Tigers' starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros.

With the Astros sending out right-hander Cristian Javier (neck), the Tigers will start lefty-hitting Zach McKinstry at shortstop. Baez went 0-for-4 during Friday's series opener, and the 31-year-old is 2-for-26 with three RBI and five strikeouts in May.

Seager went 2-for-3 with a walk, a home run and two RBI in Friday's 4-2 loss the Rockies.

Seager launched a solo home run to lead off the sixth inning and then walked with the bases loaded an inning later. He struggled through the first five weeks of the season -- perhaps attributable to missing much of spring training after undergoing hernia surgery in January -- and his batting average was .219 as of May 2. Since then, Seager has hit safely in six of seven games, going 9-for-28 (.321) with two home runs and seven RBI.

Martinez left Friday's game with Triple-A Buffalo in the eighth inning after being hit on the right knee by a pitch, Julia Kreuz of MLB.com reports.

The 22-year-old tried to take first base but was showing pain in his first couple steps, so he was removed as a precaution. The injury doesn't appear to be serious, but Martinez could be held out for the rest of the weekend series against Worcester if the Blue Jays want to make sure their top hitting prospect is 100 percent before he gets back in the lineup. Martinez is slashing .276/.359/.551 through 34 games for Buffalo with nine homers and a 13:31 BB:K.

DeJong went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a second run scored Friday against the Guardians.

DeJong smacked his sixth home run of the season, three of which have come in his last four games. He's performed well in addition to the long balls of late, as he has at least one hit in eight of his last 10 starts, and he's also chipped in six RBI and nine runs scored in that span. DeJong has reclaimed his spot as the White Sox's primary shortstop, and he should continue to get playing time so long as he's hitting well.

Moore went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBI in Friday's 8-1 win over the Athletics.

Moore hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning, then added a two-run single in the fifth and an RBI single in the seventh. He had recorded just one multi-hit effort and a total of four RBI over his previous 12 contests. The 31-year-old lifted his slash line to .226/.333/.429 with three homers, 12 RBI, 11 runs scored and five stolen bases through 99 plate appearances. Moore continues to operate as the Mariners' top shortstop while J.P. Crawford (oblique) is on the mend.

Volpe went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Astros on Thursday.

Volpe accounted for New York's first scores with a two-run blast to right field in the third inning. It was his second homer in his past three contests following a 25-game stretch during which he went deep just once. Volpe is still batting just .200 through eight games in May, but he's held onto the leadoff spot, batting first in the order in all of the Yankees' contests so far this month.
