Leonardo Jimenez SS | TOR
Blue Jays' Leo Jimenez: Taking seat Wednesday
Jimenez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.
Jimenez will head to the bench after he manned shortstop in each of the last four games while going 2-for-15 with an RBI and a run. Ernie Clement will slide over from his usual spot at third base to cover shortstop in place of Jimenez, who is slashing .228/.297/.281 since getting promoted from Triple-A Buffalo on July 2 and stepping in as the primary replacement for the injured Bo Bichette (calf).

Dylan Moore LF | SEA
Mariners' Dylan Moore: Drives in three Tuesday
Moore went 2-for-3 with a three-run double, another two-bagger, a stolen base and a walk in a win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.
The hot-hitting Moore delivered a clutch double in the fifth inning with the Mariners having just forged a one-run lead, driving home Jorge Polanco, Victor Robles (hip) and Randy Arozarena. The double pushed Moore's RBI total to seven over his last five games, while also extending his hitting streak to five games. The 31-year-old has started putting good wood on the ball again following a quiet stretch earlier in July, as he's laced four doubles in the last three contests alone.

Jose Caballero 2B | TB
Rays' Jose Caballero: Playing regularly in infield
Caballero will start at third base and bat fifth in Wednesday's game against the Marlins.
Caballero's time as an everyday player appeared to have reached its end when Yandy Diaz returned from the restricted list Friday, but the Rays' decision to trade away Randy Arozarena to the Mariners looks to have kept Caballero's window for playing time open. He'll be part of the lineup for the fourth time in five games since Diaz's return.

Jackson Holliday SS | BAL
Orioles' Jackson Holliday: Back in big leagues
The Orioles recalled Holliday from Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday. He'll start at second base and bat eighth in the Orioles' series finale with the Blue Jays.
Holliday struggled mightily during his first stint in the big leagues, hitting .059 with zero home runs and 18 strikeouts in 10 games. However, he's slashed .271/.431/.477 with 10 home runs, eight steals and a 77:75 K:BB in 73 games for Norfolk and is ready for another opportunity. Holliday should play regularly at the keystone, at least against right-handed pitching.

Brayan Rocchio SS | CLE
Guardians' Brayan Rocchio: Homers off bench
Rocchio hit a solo home run in his lone at-bat in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Tigers.
Rocchio went yard in the ninth inning to produce the Guardians' last run of the contest. The shortstop has seen a reduced role in July, with Daniel Schneemann picking up playing time, but Schneemann has just three hits over eight games since the All-Star break. Rocchio hasn't been much better, going 3-for-22 with three RBI over 12 contests in the same span. For the year, Rocchio is at a .204/.295/.300 slash line with four homers, 20 RBI, 36 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 300 plate appearances. Cleveland didn't do anything to bolster its infield at the trade deadline, though Angel Martinez -- who has played primarily in the outfield -- or Tyler Freeman could be options at shortstop if the platoon of Schneemann and Rocchio continues to struggle.

Jackson Holliday SS | BAL
Orioles' Jackson Holliday: Rejoining big club
The Orioles are expected to recall Holliday from Triple-A Norfolk ahead of Wednesday's game versus the Blue Jays, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
He was scratched from the Triple-A Norfolk lineup Tuesday after Connor Norby was traded to the Marlins, so Holliday could be Baltimore's starting second baseman in the series finale with the Blue Jays. The promotion isn't yet official, but Holliday should play regularly while he's up with the big club. The 20-year-old middle infielder is slashing .271/.431/.477 with 10 home runs, eight steals and a 77:75 K:BB in 73 games for Norfolk. He hit .059 with zero home runs and 18 strikeouts in 10 games in the majors earlier this season.

Trey Sweeney SS | DET
Tigers' Trey Sweeney: Dealt to Detroit
The Tigers acquired Sweeney and catcher Thayron Liranzo from the Dodgers on Tuesday in exchange for right-hander Jack Flaherty, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Sweeney is on the move to his second organization in less than a year after the Dodgers acquired him from the Yankees in December. The 24-year-old shortstop was a first-round pick in 2021 and has a .254/.334/.427 slash line with 13 home runs and 16 steals in 96 games at the Triple-A level this season.

Jay Harry SS | TOR
Blue Jays' Jay Harry: Dealt to Jays
The Blue Jays acquired Harry from the Twins on Tuesday in exchange for right-hander Trevor Richards, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Harry, a sixth-round pick in 2023 who signed for $175,000, slashed .214/.306/.349 with eight home runs and five steals in 82 games for High-A Cedar Rapids. The 22-year-old saw time at six different positions for Cedar Rapids, with the majority of his starts coming at second base and shortstop.
-
Paul DeJong SS | KC
Royals' Paul DeJong: Acquired by Kansas City
The Royals acquired DeJong from the White Sox for right-hander Jarold Rosado on Tuesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Timesreports.
The two teams are currently in the midst of a three-game series in Chicago, so DeJong will simply head to the other clubhouse. The veteran shortstop likely won't see much time at his natural position due to the presence of Bobby Witt, but DeJong could see action at second and third base. DeJong has a .228/.275/.430 slash line with 18 homers in 102 games this season and is likely to see less consistent playing time for the Royals than he did with the last-place White Sox.

Brayden Taylor SS | TB
Rays' Brayden Taylor: Promoted to Double-A
Taylor was promoted from High-A Bowling Green to Double-A Montgomery on Tuesday.
The only real knock on Taylor is that he was old (22) for the level (High-A) he was at prior to this promotion. Taylor, the No. 19 overall pick in 2023, slashed .271/.391/.516 with 14 home runs, 26 steals and a 24.4 percent strikeout rate in 83 games for the Hot Rods. He saw 41 starts at shortstop, 31 starts at third base and six starts at the keystone. Third base is his most likely long-term home.
