Mateo went 1-for-2 with two steals in Friday's 6-0 win over Houston.

Mateo swiped second and third base after singling in the sixth inning. He was also caught stealing once and has now stolen an American League-leading 33 bags in 42 attempts. The 27-year-old is slashing .220/.266/.385 with 42 extra-base hits and 57 runs this season. However, Mateo is hitting just .136 (6-for-44) over 15 games since his last multi-hit performance Sept. 3.

Correa isn't starting Friday against the Angels.

Correa is in the midst of a five-game hitting streak in which he's gone 10-for-20 with a double, two RBI and a run, but he'll get a rare day off Friday. Jermaine Palacios is starting at shortstop and batting ninth.

Crawford (lower body) is starting Friday against the Royals.

Crawford didn't play Thursday against Oakland due to some leg/knee issues, but he's starting at shortstop and leading off Friday. Over his last five games, he's gone 4-for-16 with a triple, two runs, two walks and two strikeouts.

Bogaerts is not in the starting lineup Friday versus the Yankees, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Bogaerts will get a breather after he went 4-for-15 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored while starting the last four games. Yu Chang will take over at shortstop and bat ninth against New York.

Neto slashed .320/.382/.492 down the stretch for Double-A Rocket City, smashing four home runs and stealing four bases while posting an 8:29 BB:K in 30 games.

His season actually isn't over, as the Trash Pandas are in the playoffs. Neto has continued raking, having ripped two doubles and a homer in the first three postseason games of his professional career. Considering that he's already playing -- and succeeding -- in Double-A in his draft season, it looks like the 21-year-old shortstop is on a fast track to the majors.

Franco went 2-for-5 with one double, three RBI and one run scored in Thursday's 10-5 win over the Blue Jays.

Franco knocked in Jonathan Aranda with a two-out single in the second inning before coming around to score on a single from Randy Arozarena in the following at-bat. In his next at-bat, the star shortstop ripped a double to deep center field that drove in Aranda for a second time, along with Taylor Walls. Franco is now riding a nine-game hitting streak, hitting .333 over that stretch with three doubles, five RBI and three runs scored.

Witt went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Twins.

Witt recorded his third straight multi-hit effort, and he's up to a 13-game hitting streak. During that longer span, he's batted .327 (17-for-52) with five doubles, six RBI, eight runs scored and two steals. The 22-year-old rookie has lifted his season slash line up to .254/.294/.439 with 20 home runs, 28 steals, 76 RBI and 77 runs scored in 139 contests. He's seeing regular time at his natural position of shortstop lately.

Seager went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored Thursday against the Angels.

Seager took Jose Quijada yard in the eighth inning to record his 32nd homer of the season. He has gone deep three times in his last eight starts, also tallying eight RBI and eight runs scored in that span. Seager has a solid .246/.329/.461 line across 625 plate appearances this year, with the average and on-base figures being the worst numbers of his big-league career.

Lopez was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday.

Lopez has spent the last week and a half in the minors but will rejoin the big-league club after Santiago Espinal (oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list. Lopez has slashed .297/.378/.415 with three homers, 53 runs, 34 RBI and 14 stolen bases over 91 Triple-A games this year, but he hasn't yet appeared in a big-league game.

Tena was promoted to Triple-A Columbus on Thursday.

The 21-year-old middle infielder has spent all season with Double-A Akron, recording a .710 OPS along with 66 RBI. Tena's high strikeout rate -- roughly 25 percent -- continues to be a concern, but if he can find a way to cut his whiffs he may be of use for the big-league club at some point in 2023.
