Diaz (hamstring) ran on the field prior to Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

This is certainly a step in the right direction for Diaz, who has been sidelined since Monday with a strained hamstring. He'll be eligible to return from the injured list June 6, though it remains to be seen if he'll be back to full health by then.

Anderson (wrist) is back in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Anderson missed four straight starts after getting hit in the wrist by a pitch Friday, though he did appear once as a pinch runner. He hit .375/.412/.521 in the 13 games prior to suffering the injury.

Crawford (ankle) was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

This was expected after Crawford exited Tuesday's game with a left ankle sprain. The Mariners have yet to offer up a timetable for his return, though manager Scott Servais said earlier Wednesday that the sprain isn't considered severe and the hope is that Crawford will be ready to return in a few weeks. Dylan Moore was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move, while Tim Beckham figures to fill in at shortstop until Crawford is back.

Manager Scott Servais confirmed Crawford is dealing with a sprained left ankle, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

Servais added that the sprain isn't a bad one, which is good news after the shortstop "severely" rolled his ankle in a rundown Tuesday and had to be helped off the field. Crawford is expected to land on the 10-day injured list due to the injury, though the hope is that his absence will only last a few weeks. Look for Tim Beckham to return to an everyday role at shortstop while Crawford is on the shelf.

Correa will be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks with a cracked rib, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

It was originally thought that Correa's cracked rib would force the shortstop to miss 3-to-4 weeks, but after placing him on the injured list Wednesday, the Astros confirmed Correa would miss at least the next month and could ultimately remain sidelined through the All-Star break. Myles Straw was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move, while Alex Bregman and Jack Mayfield figure to fill in at shortstop while Correa is on the mend.

Correa is expected to miss the next 3-to-4 weeks due to a cracked rib, Mark Berman of Fox 26 Houston reports.

General manager Jeff Luhnow suggested earlier in the week that Correa could miss multiple weeks due to his rib injury, and a visit to the doctor Tuesday confirmed just that. The Astros have yet to officially place Correa on the IL; Alex Bregman and Jack Mayfield are options to see time at shortstop while the 24-year-old is on the shelf.

Crawford was helped off the field after "severely" rolling his left ankle in a rundown during the eighth inning of Tuesday's loss to the Rangers and is expected to be placed on the 10-day injured list, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports. "That was a gut punch to everybody," manager Scott Servais said. "J.P. was playing great and not just tonight, but [Tuesday] might have been his best game since he was brought up. It's very disappointing. He's getting X-rays right now and we'll know more [Wednesday]. Hopefully, it's just an ankle sprain and he'll be back soon."

Crawford had gone 2-for-3 with an RBI single, a double, a walk and a run before the injury, the latest successful installment of what has been a productive big-league stint thus far. Crawford's forthcoming absence, however long in duration, is expected to result in Tim Beckham returning to an everyday role at shortstop for the time being.

Fletcher went 2-for-4 with a two-run single and a run scored in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Athletics.

Fletcher has hit safely in six straight games, going 10-for-24 with four RBI and five runs scored in that span. Four of those hits have gone for extra bases. The utilityman has settled into the starting job at shortstop with Andrelton Simmons (ankle) out. Fletcher is hitting .318/.365/.458 through 53 games this year.

Anderson (wrist) is not in the lineup for Tuesday night's game against the Royals, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Anderson appeared as a pinch runner during the completion of the suspended game versus the Royals on Tuesday afternoon, but he's apparently not quite ready to rejoin the starting lineup. Jose Rondon will start at shortstop while Anderson remains on the bench for the fourth straight game due to his sore right wrist.

Correa's rib injury may sideline him for the next couple weeks according to general manager Jeff Luhnow, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

It's not clear if Luhnow was referring to a precise timeline for Correa. The shortstop is visiting a doctor Tuesday to determine the extent of his injury. Luhnow did downplay the idea that Correa's injury would be a long-term one, but a trip to the injured list does appear likely.
