  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Slugs first homer

Bichette went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI for Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday.

After a slow start, the 21-year-old is heating up at the plate, going 6-for-16 over the last four games, with Saturday's blast being his first homer of the year. Bichette's increased production has coincided with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. joining the roster in Buffalo, and while the reunion of the top prospects may not last long, Bichette is likely to continue posting big numbers at Triple-A even after Guerrero has made his way to the majors.

  • Indians' Francisco Lindor: Rehab could begin Monday

Lindor (ankle) could join Triple-A Columbus for a rehab assignment as soon as Monday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Lindor ran the bases both Friday and Saturday. He'll work out with the team Sunday, at which point a decision about the start date for his rehab assignment will be made.

  • Joey Wendle 2B | ATL

Rays' Joey Wendle: Closer to rehab assignment

Wendle (hamstring) had a good running session Friday at Tropicana Field and is tentatively set to begin a short rehab or extended spring training assignment next Wednesday or Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The earliest potential return date for Wendle is now projected to be next weekend's series versus the Red Sox. The versatile infielder has been ramping up his activity in recent days, running on a treadmill earlier in the week as well. Wendle has been sidelined since exiting a March 31 game against the Astros with the injury.

  • Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: On base three times

Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored Friday against Baltimore.

Bogaerts doubled home a run in the fourth inning, extending his current hitting streak to four games. The 26-year-old is seeing the ball well at the plate to begin 2019 and is now batting .311 with a home run and four RBI over 13 contests.

  • Richard Urena SS | WAS

Blue Jays' Richard Urena: Demoted to Triple-A

Urena will be sent to Triple-A Buffalo prior to Saturday's game against Tampa Bay, John Lott of The Athletic reports.

Urena got off to a solid start at the dish through his first eight games of 2019 and went 8-for-24 with three doubles over that stretch. He'll head to the minor leagues to make room for Clay Buchholz on the 25-man roster.

  • Indians' Francisco Lindor: Closing in on rehab assignment

Lindor (ankle) will run the bases Saturday, and Cleveland team physicians will meet with ankle specialist Dr. Robert Anderson to determine whether he can begin a rehab assignment, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Lindor took part in some agility drills on the field Tuesday and managed to jog around the bases Wednesday, so it appears he's closing in on the next step in his rehab. If he is cleared for game action, he's likely looking at a late-April return from the injured list, barring any setbacks.

  • Mariners' Dee Gordon: Stays hot at dish

Gordon went 3-for-4 with a triple, a home run, two RBI and two runs scored Thursday against the Royals.

Gordon flashed rare power in the sixth inning on a solo blast to right field, and he tripled home a run in the seventh to cut the deficit to one. The 30-year-old second baseman has enjoyed a hot start at the plate through his first 15 games of 2019, batting .365 with 11 RBI and six stolen bases.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Astros' Carlos Correa: Authors three-hit performance

Correa went 3-for-4 with a home run, two walks, three RBI and two runs Wednesday in the Astros' 8-6 win over the Yankees.

Correa turned in his best performance of the season, reaching base in four of his five plate appearances to lift his OPS to a sparkling .960. It's probably too early to draw many sweeping conclusions from 10 games' worth of at-bats, but Correa at least looks healthy and could be primed for a productive season after seeing his numbers wane while missing extensive time due to injury in 2018.

  • Royals' Adalberto Mondesi: Big night on basepaths

Mondesi went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two stolen bases in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Royals.

The Royals stole five bases in total on the night off Omar Narvaez and the Seattle pitching staff. Mondesi's now slashing .304/.313/.587 through 11 games with a homer, three steals, seven runs and eight RBI, and at least in the early going he's rewarding fantasy GMs who bought into the preseason hype.

  • Tim Anderson 2B | LAA

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Steals fourth bag

Anderson went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 9-1 loss to the Rays.

Anderson continued to hit, extending his hitting streak to nine games while also stealing a bag for the third straight game. He's stolen four and is well on his way to cracking the 20-steal threshold for a second straight season.
