Zachary Neto SS | LAA
Angels' Zach Neto: Out of lineup, will undergo MRI
Neto (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Red Sox, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Neto jammed his right shoulder on a stolen base attempt in the eighth inning of Tuesday's 3-2 extra-inning win and was removed from the contest in the ninth after making a wild throw. His injury is to the same shoulder that he had surgically repaired last November, and he is scheduled to undergo an MRI, per Sam Blum of The Athletic. The Angels could have more information on Neto's status after Wednesday's contest. Scott Kingery will fill in at shortstop and bat ninth.

Juan Brito SS | CLE
Guardians' Juan Brito: Back from Triple-A IL
Triple-A Columbus activated Brito (thumb) from the 7-day injured list Wednesday.
Brito needed surgery in late April to repair a high-grade ligament sprain in his right thumb, but he's ready to go after playing seven rehab games in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League. The 23-year-old infielder slashed .291/.406/.491 with two home runs and four steals in 16 games for Columbus before getting hurt. Brito could eventually become an option for Cleveland at second base if he plays well at Columbus.

Sebastian Walcott SS | TEX
Rangers' Sebastian Walcott: Seeing time at third base
Walcott started at third base and went 2-for-4 with three steals for Double-A Frisco on Tuesday.
Walcott, who has played mostly shortstop this season, made his seventh start at third base. All seven have come over the last month. At 6-foot-4, Walcott can be viewed as a slugger first, but the prospect also has a speed component and uses his long legs to eat up distance on the basepaths. The 19-year-old Walcott has 15 steals (caught five times) through 66 games.

Zachary Neto SS | LAA
Angels' Zach Neto: Battling jammed shoulder
Neto jammed his right shoulder during Tuesday's win over Boston, Greg Beacham of The Associated Press reports.
Neto suffered the injury while attempting to steal second base during the eighth inning. He then made a wild throw to first base during the ninth frame, so the Angels pulled him as a precaution. The severity of his injury remains unknown, though the team may have more information ahead of Wednesday's series finale.

Zachary Neto SS | LAA
Angels' Zach Neto: Exits with injury
Neto was removed from Tuesday's game against the Red Sox with an apparent injury, Jack Janes of TheSportingTribune.com reports.
Neto was visited on the field by a trainer after making a bad throw to first base in the ninth inning. It's possible the young infielder's injury has something to do with his shoulder, which seemed to be giving him trouble after a steal attempt in the eighth, but more clarity should come after the Angels' training staff evaluates him.

Kevin McGonigle SS | DET
Tigers' Kevin McGonigle: On fire at High-A
McGonigle is batting .382 with a 1.167 OPS, five home runs and 28 RBI across 26 games for High-A West Michigan.
Before going 0-for-3 on Tuesday, McGonigle was riding a nine-game hitting streak, which included both a four-hit and a five-hit effort. The 20-year-old, who was selected with the No. 37 overall pick back in 2023, has quickly established himself as one of the best pure hitters in the minors. McGonigle has yet to appear above the High-A level and is likely still a few years away from the majors, but he's worth keeping a close eye on, particularly in dynasty formats.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Red Sox's Trevor Story: Goes deep in loss
Story went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored Monday in a loss to the Angels.
Story hit the only homer in the contest for the Red Sox, swatting a 387-foot solo shot to left field in the sixth inning. The multi-hit performance was the veteran shortstop's eighth in June, and he's batting a strong .289 this month with four home runs, 16 RBI and two stolen bases through 19 contests. Story has notched 11 homers and 11 thefts on the season, making him one of seven major-league shortstops to reach double digits in both categories.

Zachary Neto SS | LAA
Angels' Zach Neto: Homers, swipes bag in victory
Neto went 3-for-4 with a home run, two total runs, two total RBI and a stolen base in a 9-5 win against the Red Sox on Monday.
Neto opened the Angels' half of the first inning with a solo blast to center field, and he notched a second RBI in the same frame when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. The long ball was his second in as many games, as he belted a solo blast in his lone plate appearance as a pinch hitter Sunday. Neto is up to a .278/.322/.498 slash line on the campaign, and with 12 homers and 13 steals, he's one of seven big-league shortstops to reach double digits in both categories.

Jorge Mateo SS | ATL
Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Rehab assignment on tap for Tuesday
Mateo (elbow) is set to begin a minor-league rehab assignment at Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, MLB.com reports.
Mateo is entering the final stages of his recovery from left elbow inflammation. The 30-year-old speedster has a chance to rejoin Baltimore's roster before the end of June, but he should be able to return in early July at the latest. Mateo primarily served as a pinch runner and defensive specialist prior to going down, having slashed .180/.231/.279 with one home run, three doubles, three RBI and 14 stolen bases over 65 plate appearances.

Mikey Romero SS | BOS
Red Sox's Mikey Romero: Returns from IL
Romero (undisclosed) went 4-for-8 with two home runs, a double and eight RBI in two games for Double-A Portland since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list Friday.
The nature of Romero's injury remains a mystery, but he was cleared to return to action for Portland after a three-week hiatus. The 21-year-old infielder owns a .260/.341/.507 slash line with seven home runs and three stolen bases over 168 plate appearances at Portland this season.
