Rojas is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Padres.

Enrique Hernandez will start at shortstop and bat ninth versus the Padres and right-hander Michael Wacha. Rojas has shown more life lately, but he's slashing just .233/.291/.311 across 384 total plate appearances this season with the Dodgers.

Tovar is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Cubs.

Tovar is mostly enjoying a productive second half, but he has gone 0-for-12 with no walks and two strikeouts over his last three games. Alan Trejo will get a turn at shortstop and bat eighth for the Rockies on Tuesday.

Lawlar is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Mets.

Lawlar has gone 1-for-13 with a single and seven strikeouts since getting called up to the Diamondbacks on Thursday. He suffered a bruised hand when he was hit by a pitch Saturday but was able to return for part of Monday's series opener in Queens. Geraldo Perdomo will start at shortstop and bat ninth Tuesday as Jace Peterson covers third base and hits seventh.

Manager Derek Shelton said Tuesday that Cruz (ankle) won't return this season, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

Cruz has run into a couple of minor setbacks in his recovery from early-April surgery to repair a fractured left fibula and will now shift his focus toward being 100 percent healthy for the beginning of the 2024 campaign. The dynamic 24-year-old shortstop went as a top-80 pick in most fantasy drafts this spring but wound up appearing in only nine games for the Pirates. He holds a career .751 OPS with 19 home runs and 13 stolen bases through 98 total major-league games.

Adrianza (elbow/shoulder) shifted his rehab assignment Tuesday from High-A Rome to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Adrianza went 1-for-5 with a double and two walks during his three-game stay in the South Atlantic League and is now just one step away from returning to Atlanta's active major-league roster. The veteran utility infielder has been out since early May due to elbow and shoulder injuries.

Lawlar started at shortstop and went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before he was removed for a pinch hitter in Monday's 4-3 win over the Mets.

Lawlar returned to the lineup after a one-day break due to a minor hand injury. The right-handed hitter was pinch hit for in the sixth inning against righty reliever Sean Reid-Foley, the first time manager Torey Lovullo has removed the young shortstop from a game. Lawlar is hitless over the last 11 at-bats with seven strikeouts.

Bogaerts went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Monday's 11-8 win over the Dodgers.

Bogaerts saw an eight-game hitting streak snapped Sunday, but he was right back at it Monday. His biggest knock was a ninth-inning homer to pad the Padres' lead to 11-7. The shortstop has gone deep three times this month and now has 18 long balls on the year. He's added a .273/.341/.425 slash line with 50 RBI, 70 runs scored, 15 stolen bases and 27 doubles over 139 contests.

Abrams went 2-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 6-2 victory over the Pirates.

Abrams plated two with a no-doubter in the third, then hit a solo shot in the seventh to close out the scoring for the Nationals. He now has three consecutive multi-hit games with three home runs, five RBI, six runs scored and a steal during that stretch. The 22-year-old shortstop is hitting .252 with 18 home runs, 57 RBI, 74 runs and 41 steals in what has been a breakout campaign for the second-year shortstop.

Adames went 3-for-4 with a triple, two doubles, four RBI and three runs scored in Monday's 12-0 win over the Marlins.

Adames knocked an RBI double in the third inning and then cleared the bases with a triple in the sixth. In what's mostly been a down year for him, the 28-year-old shortstop has rebounded a bit over the last few weeks. In his last 21 games, Adames has gone 23-for-81 (.284) with 12 extra-base hits and 25 RBI. His season slash line now sits at .215/.299/.413 with 48 extra-base hits through 561 plate appearances.

Perdomo is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets.

Even though the Diamondbacks recently released short-side platoon mate Nick Ahmed, Perdomo still looks as though he'll frequently hit the bench when Arizona faces southpaws. With lefty Jose Quintana on the hill for the Mets, the switch-hitting Perdomo will give way to the righty-hitting Emmanuel Rivera at third base.
