Marlins' Jon Berti: Doubles, swipes bag
Berti went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Monday's 3-0 win over San Diego.
Berti singled and stole second base in the third inning before knocking a double in the seventh. Monday was his fourth appearance since returning from the injured list and he picked up his first steal since July 14. He's now 29 for 33 in stolen base attempts with a .268/.356/.373 slash line through 239 plate appearances.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Bows out Monday
Crawford is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Diamondbacks, according to Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com.
Crawford has gone 7-for-24 (.292) since being activated from the injured list earlier this month, but manager Gabe Kapler decided to give him the night off after starting the last three games. Thairo Estrada will start at shortstop in Crawford's place.

Geraldo Perdomo SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Gets breather Monday
Perdomo is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Giants.
Perdomo doubled and scored in Sunday's game, but that was the only hit he tallied over his last five games, so manager Torey Lovullo decided to hold him out Monday. Sergio Alcantara will start at shortstop in Perdomo's place.

Ehire Adrianza 3B | LAA
Braves' Ehire Adrianza: Transferred to 10-day IL
Adrianza was transferred from the COVID-19 injured list to the 10-day injured list due to a viral infection Monday, retroactive to Aug. 12.
Adrianza landed on the COVID-19 IL last week but will be forced to miss at least a week and a half after being diagnosed with a viral infection. Since the move was backdated, he'll be eligible to return as early as Aug. 22.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Moves up to majors
The Nationals recalled Abrams from Triple-A Rochester on Monday.
Abrams was assigned to Rochester after being acquired from the Padres earlier this month, but he earned another trip to the big leagues by going 9-for-27 (.333) over his last seven games at the Triple-A level, and he'll get his chance with Luis Garcia out with a groin injury. Abrams didn't play on an everyday basis for the Padres earlier this season, but with the Nationals out of the playoff hunt, he should be a fixture in Washington's lineup the rest of the way.

Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Sharp at plate Sunday
Edman went 2-for-2 with a double, a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Brewers.
Edman's double was just his second extra-base hit in August -- he's batted .278 (10-for-36) this month. He's also added three steals in 11 games, giving him 24 in 27 attempts this year. The 27-year-old infielder appears to be the preferred option at second base over Nolan Gorman since shortstop Paul DeJong rejoined the Cardinals' roster in late July.

Joey Wendle 2B | ATL
Marlins' Joey Wendle: Nabs eighth steal
Wendle went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's loss to Atlanta.
The 32-year-old extended his current hitting streak to six games with a leadoff single in the eighth inning, but even after Wendle got himself into scoring position with his eighth steal of the year, the rest of the Marlins' anemic lineup couldn't bring him home. Since returning from a hamstring injury at the beginning of July, Wendle has held down a starting job and seen consistent action in the leadoff spot against right-handed pitching despite slashing a mediocre .252/.284/.317 with zero homers, 13 RBI and only three runs scored in 37 games.

Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Swipes bag Sunday
Rojas went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's 3-1 loss to Atlanta.
Rojas drove in the Marlins' only run of the game in the fourth inning and later stole second base after singling in the ninth. Since his last multi-hit game July 29, he went 6-for-44 (.136) over a 12-game span. The 33-year-old is slashing .235/.288/.332 with 29 RBI, nine steals and 21 extra-base hits through 102 games.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Call-up imminent
Abrams will be recalled from Triple-A Rochester on Monday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
The 21-year-old was dealt from the Padres to the Nationals in early August as part of the trade that sent Juan Soto and Josh Bell to San Diego, and Abrams will join the major-league club Monday since Luis Garcia (groin) will require a trip to the injured list. Abrams appeared in 46 big-league games with the Padres earlier in the season, and he slashed .232/.285/.320 with two homers, 16 runs, 11 RBI and a stolen base. He should have plenty of chances to earn at-bats while Garcia is sidelined.

Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: On bench for nightcap
Rojas isn't starting the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against Atlanta.
Rojas will get a breather after he went 1-for-4 with a run and a strikeout during the first game of Saturday's twin bill. Joey Wendle is shifting to shortstop while Luke Williams starts at second base.
