Berti has been on the injured list with a left groin strain since July 15, but it's encouraging to see him resume baseball activities. It's not yet clear when the 32-year-old will be able to rejoin the Marlins or whether he'll require a rehab assignment at some point.

Oneil Cruz SS | PIT
Pirates' Oneil Cruz: Solo homer in loss
Cruz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss against Miami.
Cruz led off the scoring with a solo home run off Sandy Alcantara in the third inning. It was his fifth home run since being called up on June 20. Cruz has started to heat up as he is on a four-game hit streak. One major issue for the young star is that he also has eight strikeouts in those four games and has a 36.6% strikeout rate for the season. He is slashing .208/.241/.415 for Pittsburgh in 28 games this year.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Padres' CJ Abrams: Sitting again Sunday
Abrams (biceps) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Abrams was scratched from Saturday's lineup with right biceps soreness and will remain on the bench Sunday. The 21-year-old didn't throw during the All-Star break before playing in Friday's game, and the injury remains bothersome.

Trea Turner SS | PHI
Dodgers' Trea Turner: Goes yard in win
Turner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Giants.
Turner went back-to-back with Mookie Betts in the third inning as the Dodgers established their lead. This extended Turner's hitting streak to 10 games, a span in which he's gone 15-for-43 (.349) with four long balls, 10 RBI, 12 runs scored and a stolen base. The surge has him up to a .306/.352/.497 slash line, 15 homers, 69 RBI, 56 runs scored and 17 steals through 93 contests.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Padres' CJ Abrams: Dealing with biceps soreness
Abrams was removed from Saturday's lineup against the Mets due to biceps soreness, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.
Abrams didn't throw over the All-Star break prior to throwing during Friday's matchup, so he'll be held out Saturday as a precautionary measure. He should be considered day-to-day ahead of Sunday's series finale.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Progressing in activity
Crawford (knee) took groundballs Saturday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
This is the first time he has fielded groundballs since getting a cortisone shot last weekend. It's unclear if Crawford will go on a rehab assignment, but it sounds like he is at least a week away from returning.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Padres' CJ Abrams: Scratched from Saturday's lineup
Abrams was scratched from Saturday's lineup against the Mets for an undisclosed reason, Bob Scanlan of Bally Sports San Diego reports.
All we know is that Ha-Seong Kim replaced Abrams in the lineup at shortstop. Consider Abrams day-to-day for now.

Orlando Arcia SS | MIN
Braves' Orlando Arcia: Swats fifth homer
Arcia went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's 8-1 win over the Angels.
Robinson Cano got the start at second base but was lifted early due to dizziness, so Arcia wound up seeing a full night's worth of playing time. The 27-year-old utility player took advantage in the seventh inning by crushing a first-pitch slider from a fading Shohei Ohtani to left field for his fifth homer of the year, breaking open what was a 3-0 game. He hasn't seen much action since Cano was added to the roster, but if the latter winds up missing more time, Arcia would take over as the starter at the keystone in the short term.
