Seager went 3-for-5 with an RBI and run in Saturday's 8-4 victory over the Pirates.

He continues to wield a red-hot bat, with five straight multi-hit efforts. Seager also has a pair of doubles, three homers and six RBI over his first 46 at-bats in August and a .304/.347/543 line for the month overall.

Noonan is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mets.

Noonan has started three straight since his Padres debut Thursday, but will take a seat in favor of Alexei Ramirez for the Sunday afternoon showdown. The 27-year-old has struck out in four of his first 10 at-bats with San Diego, but will have plenty of chances to right the ship the rest of the way out.

Gordon is out of the lineup Sunday agains the White Sox, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports.

Gordon has started 14 of 15 games at second base since returning from his suspension, but he'll take a seat Sunday with tough southpaw Chris Sale on the mound for the White Sox. Gordon was likely due for a day off anyway after starting nine in a row, but Sunday's move will allow manager Don Mattingly to play matchups as well. The newly-recalled Robert Andino will get the start at second base in Gordon's stead.

Turner went 3-for-5 with an RBI single, a pair of stolen bases and a run in Friday's 8-5 loss to the Braves.

The dynamic leadoff man was a bright spot in the loss, getting on base often and swiping two bags in the process. Turner also drove in Ben Revere with a third-inning single that opened the Nationals' scoring on the night. The 23-year-old now has four multi-hit efforts in August, along with his first two homers of the season and six RBI.

Baez went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in Friday's 13-2 victory over the Cardinals.

The 23-year-old got in on the fun on an afternoon in which the Cubs pounded out 14 hits. Baez blasted a 386-foot shot in the seventh that drove in Wilson Contreras, his first round-tripper since July 27. The productive outing was a welcome sight, considering that Baez had entered the game in a 3-for-25 slump over his previous seven games.

Seager (wrist) is in the lineup for Friday's game against the Pirates.

X-rays on Seager's wrist were negative after he was hit by a pitch Wednesday, with the official diagnosis being a minor bone bruise. Seager will tough it out and play Friday without missing a start as he looks to build on his MVP-caliber .305/.360/.534 line in his rookie campaign.

Owings went 3-for-5, falling just a home run shy of the cycle, in Thursday's 9-0 drudging of the Mets.

Owings big day included a bases-loaded triple in the sixth, pushing his RBI total to 26 on the season. Over his past four games, the 24-year-old is 9-for-17 with three doubles, two triples, four RBI, four runs and two stolen bases. Owings would appear to be fully healed from the plantar fasciitis that landed him on the DL for most of June and July.

Baez is out of the lineup against the Cardinals on Thursday.

Baez will be out of the lineup for the third time in the past five games as Ben Zobrist mans second with Chris Coghlan playing in left field. The 23-year-old has just three hits in 23 at-bats this month, but will likely be back in the lineup Friday.

Owings went 3-for-5 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 12-inning win over the Mets.

Owings, who played primarily in center earlier this season, is getting regular playing time at shortstop with Nick Ahmed on the DL. He's not an elite option by any means, but Owings offers a solid batting average and a little speed, which puts him on the fantasy radar.

Noonan will make his debut for the Padres on Thursday against the Pirates, starting at shortstop and hitting seventh.

He was summoned from Triple-A on Wednesday with the expectation that he would see the bulk of the starts at shortstop for the Padres over the rest of the season. The 32nd overall pick in 2007, Noonan's career has not gone as he would have hoped, with just 135 career plate appearances in the big leagues. Noonan's Triple-A numbers were impressive, slashing .321/.353/.445 with four home runs in 87 games, but as a 27-year-old in the Pacific Coast League, it's hard to take those numbers at face value. He will get his chance to make a name for himself down the stretch with the Padres it seems, but for now he is best reserved for NL-only leagues and deep mixers.
