A hand specialist confirmed that Baez has a hairline fracture on his left thumb, and he's unlikely to play again in September, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Baez isn't expected to return to action before the regular season comes to an end, so he'll begin rehabbing with the hope of being activated for the playoffs, should the Cubs qualify. With Addison Russell still in concussion protocol, look for Nico Hoerner to see the majority of the playing time at shortstop down the stretch.

Correa (back) could make a rehab appearance for Triple-A Round Rock on Friday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Correa has missed just shy of three weeks with a sore back. The Astros are likely primarily concerned with getting him right for the playoffs, but it looks as though he'll be able to return for at least a handful of games prior to the end of the regular season.

Arcia (personal) is expected to rejoin the Brewers on Wednesday, Sophia Minnaert of Fox Sports Wisconsin reports.

Arcia landed on the paternity list following Sunday's win over the Cubs, but he's expected to rejoin the Brewers after spending a couple of days with his fiancee and their two newborn daughters. Hernan Perez is starting at shortstop in his place Monday.

Diaz went 2-for-4 with a double, two walks, two RBI and a run Sunday in the Astros' 21-1 win over the Mariners.

Diaz was one of seven Astros to produce multiple hits and contributed one of the team's franchise-record 11 two-baggers on the afternoon. The 29-year-old drew a second straight start at first base in the series finale, but he'll likely shift over to the hot corner within the next few days since Yuli Gurriel (hamstring) isn't expected to miss much more time.

Seager went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in a victory over San Francisco on Sunday.

Seager launched a 415-foot shot to center field in the fifth inning to stake the Dodgers to a five-run lead. The long ball snapped a 1-for-17 cold snap that included four strikeouts. Seager has rebounded from last year's Tommy John and hip surgeries to post a .261/.328/.450 slash line with 14 homers, 39 doubles and 69 RBI in 118 games.

Arcia is going on the paternity list after Sunday's game agains the Cubs, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

He must miss Monday's game in Miami and can miss no more than three total games. Arcia started Sunday's game but left midway through to be with his fiancee, who gave birth to twin daughters. Hernan Perez and Cory Spangenberg are options to start at shortstop in his absence.

Lindor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Twins.

Lindor gave Cleveland a 4-1 lead with his fifth-inning shot, his 29th of the season. The superstar shortstop has already hit three long balls this month and should soon reach the 30-homer mark for the third straight season. His current .888 OPS would be a new career best.

Manager Don Mattingly admitted Sunday that he wasn't ready to commit to Berti as an everyday player, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports. "We're still trying to figure out, is he an everyday, utility-type guy?" Mattingly said. "Can he play every day, somewhere? Or is he a four or five days a week [starter]? Some guys are better at playing five days -- you're going to get more production -- than playing seven."

Berti was on the bench for Sunday's series finale with the Royals, marking his third day off in seven games. While Mattingly may be correct in his assessment that Berti might not profile best in an everyday role, the 29-year-old probably deserves a regular lineup spot based on the current composition of the Miami roster. Since Berti returned from an extended absence due to an oblique injury July 31, he's contributed a .276/.361/.457 slash line, with his 119 wRC+ trailing only Brian Anderson (175 wRC+) and Starlin Castro (141 wRC+) among Marlins players during that span. Even if he ends up sitting a couple times per week down the stretch, Berti might still be worthy of rostering in mid-sized or deeper mixed leagues thanks to his excellent speed. He boasts an average sprint speed that ranks in the 98th percentile of all players, per Statcast, and has used those wheels to go 9-for-10 on stolen-base attempts.

Crawford is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Crawford will unsurprisingly take a seat in the series finale with the Dodgers bringing lefty Julio Urias to the hill. Mauricio Dubon slides over from second base to replace Crawford at shortstop, opening up a spot at the keystone for Donovan Solano.

Correa (back) took batting practice on the field prior to Sunday's game against the Mariners, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Correa began hitting off a tee Tuesday, so he appears to be progressing nicely in his return from back soreness. The 24-year-old has been sidelined since Aug. 20 due to the issue, and it remains unclear when exactly the Astros expect him to return from the injured list, though he believes he'll be back before the end of the regular season.
