Correa (back) was placed on the 10-day injured list following Tuesday's win over the Tigers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Manager AJ Hinch said prior to the game Correa was likely IL-bound, so the post-game announcement isn't much of a surprise. The 24-year-old was pulled from Monday's contest after his back stiffened up, and Hinch indicated the recovery will likely require the full 10 days. Correa will be eligible to be activated Aug. 30 in Toronto.

Bogaerts twisted his ankle running the bases Tuesday against the Phillies but said "hopefully it's fine tomorrow," Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Bogaerts had the ankle wrapped up after the game but doesn't seem to think it's a serious issue. The Red Sox have a scheduled off day Thursday, so if there's any concern, they could give the 26-year-old Wednesday off to provide ample recovery time.

Urena was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Urena earned a spot on the Opening Day roster but has been at Triple-A since late May. The 23-year-old provides some added infield depth with the Blue Jays starting a three-game set on the road versus the Dodgers.

Correa (back) is expected to require a trip to the 10-day injured list, Hunter Atkins of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Correa wasn't available to the media prior to Tuesday's matchup, but skipper AJ Hinch finally shed some light on Correa's status, stating that it's likely his star shortstop will need a stint on the IL. He could return near the end of August if he's able to come back after the 10-day minimum.

Crawford is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Cubs.

He was swinging a hot bat around the All-Star break, but has predictably cooled off, hitting .173 with zero home runs in 52 August at-bats. Abiatal Avelino will start at shortstop and hit eighth.

Swanson (foot) is hoping to begin a rehab assignment sometime this week, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Swanson's recovery has not gone as planned, but it sounds like he should at least make it back sometime in September. He had recently increased his on-field activities.

Correa left Monday night's series opener with back discomfort, and the details surrounding his injury have been scarce to this point. Jack Mayfield draws the start at shortstop and will bat ninth in Correa's absence.

DeJong went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a win over the Brewers on Monday.

DeJong closed out the scoring on the night with his sixth-inning solo blast, his third homer in the last six games. The shortstop's .246/.323/.457 line is a serviceable one, but for the second consecutive season, it appears DeJong will disappointingly fall way short of the promising .285 average and .532 slugging percentage he managed during his rookie 2017 campaign.

Crawford went 2-for-4 with an RBI single, a walk and two runs in a win over the Rays on Monday.

The productive effort helped snap Crawford out of a multi-game funk, as he'd gone just 4-for-28 over the previous seven contests. Crawford has only two extra-base hits (one double, one home run) in August, however, and he's slashing just. 194/.296/.296 over 108 second-half plate appearances. He has just a .244 BABIP over that stretch, a byproduct of sharp reductions in his line-drive rate (14.5 percent, down from 28.2 percent) and hard-contact rate (23.5 percent, down from 33.6 percent).

Cruz went 1-for-3 with a pair of stolen bases against Double-A Hartford on Monday.

The steals were his first since he was promoted from High-A Bradenton. Cruz is batting .333 in his last 10 games. He's already ripped off three triples in 21 Eastern League contests and continues to show why he ranks near the top of Pittsburgh's prospects list. The 6-foot-6 infielder has played shortstop exclusively in 2019 but it wouldn't be surprising to see him end up at another position in the majors. Cruz is slashing .307/.357/.493 with seven homers and 10 steals across three levels in 2019.
